MODEM SETUP
CHECK SIGNAL LEVELS
Epoch M1C Quick Start Guide
ANTENNA CONNECTION
Connect the donor/server antenna cables to
the M1C’s antenna ports on top as shown in
figure 1.
Adjust antenna positioning to assure
maximum RSSI and coverage.
SOFTWARE/POWER
Now run the M1C software, and plug in the
power converter. (AC/DC Adapter)
SOFTWARE INSTALL
Place the installation CD into your CD-ROM.
The setup will start automatically.
Follow the InstallShield Wizard to completely
install the M1C software.
SOFTWARE COMMUNICATION
Click the SET button, then the “INSTALL” button.
When installation is complete go to STATUS menu
and verify input/output power, gains, etc.
When the Found New Hardware wizard
comes up, click next to automatically search
the CD-ROM for drivers.
Verify that the AUTO CONNECTION box is checked.
Enter the Site ID and Manager IP information
provided by the carrier.
Connect the USB cable to your computer and
the M1C.
*The installation CD must be in the CD-ROM.
Then turn on the M1C.
*If the M1C does not have a modem inside, proceed to step 8.
USB DRIVER INSTALLATION
When prompted, connect the USB cable and
install the driver. (Step 3)
After opening the software verify that it is
communicating with the M1C by checking
that the status window has loaded properly
as shown in figure 5.
MODEM SETUP
BAND SELECTION
Go to INSTALL menu on the top of the
GUI.
Click on the band you want selected.
Documentation and Software can be found on the CD-ROM
included in the M1C box.
POST SURVEY
Congratulations! The M1C has been
successfully installed and is ready for use.
