Service and support from the people who know your Apple products best
The AppleCare Protection Plan provides up to two years1 of world-class support for iPad, iPhone,
iPod, and Apple TV and up to three years for Mac and Apple display. The plan includes expert
telephone technical support, onsite service for desktop computers, and web-based resources at
www.apple.com/asia/support, www.apple.com/au/support, www.apple.com/nz/support, or
www.apple.com/sg/support. If your Apple product or the included accessories need service, Apple
will repair or replace them.2
Coverage information
Your AppleCare Protection Plan must be purchased within twelve months of the original purchase
date of your Apple product. Keep the confirmation of coverage and the original sales receipt for your
Apple product(s) and the AppleCare Protection Plan. Proof of purchase may be required if there is any
question as to your product’s eligibility for AppleCare Protection Plan coverage.
A separate AppleCare Protection Plan must be purchased for each Apple product to be covered.
This AppleCare Protection Plan covers the Apple product(s) listed on the front left corner of this
package. If you find that you have purchased a plan that does not match your Apple product(s), call the
Apple phone number below.
If you sell the covered equipment before the AppleCare Protection Plan expires, you may transfer the
plan to the new owner.2

The AppleCare Protection Plan ensures that Apple-authorized technicians will perform qualified repairs
using genuine Apple parts. AppleCare Protection Plan coverage begins on the original purchase date
of your Apple product. One or more of the following service options may apply: carry-in service, direct
mail-in service, onsite service (for desktop computers), and Do-It-Yourself parts (which allow you to
service your own product).

How Consumer Rights Affect this Plan
FOR CONSUMERS IN JURISDICTIONS WHO HAVE THE BENEFIT OF CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS OR
REGULATIONS, THE BENEFITS CONFERRED BY THE ABOVE MENTIONED PLANS ARE IN ADDITION TO ALL
RIGHTS AND REMEDIES PROVIDED UNDER SUCH LAWS AND REGULATIONS. NOTHING IN THIS PLAN
SHALL PREJUDICE CONSUMER RIGHTS GRANTED BY APPLICABLE MANDATORY LAWS, INCLUDING
CONSUMER’S RIGHT TO THE REMEDIES UNDER STATUTORY WARRANTY LAW AND TO SEEK DAMAGES IN
THE EVENT OF TOTAL OR PARTIAL NON-PERFORMANCE OR INADEQUATE PERFORMANCE BY APPLE OF
ANY OF ITS CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS.
1. The Plan.
This service contract governs the hardware services and technical support provided to you by
Apple under the above-mentioned plans (each referred to herein as the “Plan”) for the Apple-
branded product and the accessories contained in its original packaging (“Covered Equipment”)
listed on your proof of coverage document (“Plan Confirmation”). For the purposes of this Plan,
Apple will mean the entity or the successor in title to the entity listed in section 12 below.

2. When Coverage Begins and Ends.
Coverage begins when you purchase the Plan and ends on the date specified in your Plan
Confirmation (“Coverage Period”). To obtain your Plan Confirmation, register your Covered
Equipment and your Plan’s registration number (“Plan Agreement Number”) with Apple. If auto-
registration is available, your original sales receipt will be your Plan Confirmation. The terms of
this Plan, the original sales receipt for your Plan and the Plan Confirmation are each part of your
service contract. The price of the Plan is contained in the original sales receipt. The hardware
service and technical support coverage provided by the Plan is additional to the coverage
provided by the manufacturer’s hardware warranty and complimentary technical support.
3. What is Covered?
3.1 Hardware Service
If during the Coverage Period, you submit a valid claim by notifying Apple that (i) a defect
in materials and workmanship has arisen in the Covered Equipment, or (ii) the capacity of a
covered iPod battery to hold an electrical charge has depleted fifty (50%) percent or more
from its original specifications, Apple will either (a) repair the defect at no charge, using new
or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (b) exchange
the Covered Equipment with a replacement product that is new or equivalent to new in
performance and reliability, and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product. If
Apple exchanges the Covered Equipment, the original product becomes Apple’s property and
the replacement product is your property with coverage for the remaining period of the Plan.
3.2 Covered Equipment
In addition to the Apple-branded product and accessories contained in the original packaging,
“Covered Equipment” includes the following according to your Plan:
(i) Under APP for Mac, (a) one compatible Apple branded display if purchased at the same
time as the Covered Equipment, (b) an Apple-branded mouse, Magic Trackpad, Apple
Battery Charger and keyboard if included with the Covered Equipment (or purchased with
a Mac mini), or (c) an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station, AirPort Time Capsule,
an Apple-branded DVI to ADC display adapter, Apple RAM modules and MacBook Air
SuperDrive if used with the Covered Equipment and originally purchased by you no earlier
than two years before the Covered Equipment purchase.

(ii) Under APP for Apple TV, an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station and
AirPortTime Capsule if used with the Covered Equipment and originally purchased by you
no earlier than two years before the Covered Equipment purchase.
3.3 Technical Support
During the Coverage Period, Apple will provide you with access to telephone and web-based
technical support resources. Technical support may include assistance with installation, launch,
configuration, troubleshooting, and recovery (except for data recovery), including storing,
retrieving, and managing files; interpreting system error messages; and determining when
hardware service is required. Apple will provide support for the then-current version of the
supported software, and the prior Major Release. For purposes of this section, “Major Release”
means a significant version of software that is commercially released by Apple in a release
number format such as “1.0” or “2.0” and which is not in beta or pre-release form. The scope of
technical support provided to you will vary according to your Plan.
3.4 Scope of Technical Support
(i) Under APP for Mac, Apple will provide technical support for the Covered Equipment,
Apple’s operating system software (“Mac OS”) and Apple-branded consumer
applications pre-installed with the Covered Equipment (“Consumer Software”). Apple
will also provide technical support using the graphical user interface for server
administration and network management issues on Apple’s operating system server
software (“Mac OS Server”) on a Mac.
(ii) Under APP for iPod, Apple will provide technical support for the Covered Equipment,
iPod OS and software applications that are pre-installed with the Covered Equipment
(both referred to as “iPod Software”) and connectivity issues between the Covered
Equipment and a “Supported Computer”, meaning a computer that meets the Covered
Equipment’s connectivity specifications and runs an operating system that is supported
by the Covered Equipment.
(iii) Under APP for Apple Display, Apple will provide technical support for the Covered
Equipment and connectivity issues between the Covered Equipment and a Supported
Computer.

(iv) Under APP for Apple TV, Apple will provide technical support for the Covered
Equipment, software applications that are pre-installed with the Covered Equipment
(“Apple TV Software”) and connectivity issues between the Covered Equipment, a
Supported Computer and a “Supported Television”, meaning a television that meets the
Covered Equipment’s connectivity specifications.
4. What is not Covered?
4.1 Hardware Service
The Plan does not apply to:
(i) Installation, removal or disposal of the Covered Equipment, or the provision of equipment
while the Covered Equipment is being serviced;
(ii) Damage caused by (a) a product that is not the Covered Equipment (b) accident, abuse,
misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause, (c) operating the Covered
Equipment outside the permitted or intended uses described by the manufacturer, or
(d) service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a
representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”);
(iii) Covered Equipment with a serial number that has been altered, defaced or removed, or
has been modified to alter its functionality or capability without the written permission
of the manufacturer;
(iv) Covered Equipment that has been lost or stolen. This Plan only covers Covered
Equipment that is returned to Apple in its entirety;
(v) Cosmetic damage to the Covered Equipment including but not limited to scratches, dents
and broken plastic on ports;
(vi) Consumable parts, such as batteries, except in respect of battery coverage under APP for
iPod or unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials and workmanship;
(vii) Preventative maintenance on the Covered Equipment; or
(viii) Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to normal aging of the
product.

4.2 Technical Support
The Plan does not include:
(i) Issues that could be resolved by upgrading software to the then current version;
(ii) Your use of or modification to the Covered Equipment, the Mac OS, iPod Software, Apple
TV Software or Consumer Software in a manner for which the Covered Equipment or
software is not intended to be used or modified;
(iii) Third-party products or their effects on or interactions with the Covered Equipment, the
Mac OS, Mac OS Server, iPod Software, Apple TV Software or Consumer Software;
(iv) Your use of a computer or operating system under APP for iPod that is unrelated to iPod
Software or connectivity issues with the Covered Equipment;
(v) Your use of a computer or operating system under APP for Apple Display that is unrelated
to connectivity issues with the Covered Equipment;
(vi) Your use of a computer or operating system under APP for Apple TV that is unrelated to
Apple TV Software or connectivity issues with the Covered Equipment;
(vii) Apple software other than the Mac OS, Mac OS Server, iPod Software, Apple TV Software
or Consumer Software as covered under the applicable Plan;
(viii) Mac OS software for servers, except when using the graphical user interface for server
administration and network management issues on Mac OS Server on a Mac;
(ix) Mac OS software or any Apple-branded software designated as “beta”, “prerelease,” or
“preview” or similarly labeled software;
(x) Third-party web browsers, email applications, and Internet service provider software, or
the Mac OS configurations necessary for their use; or
(xi) Damage to, or loss of any software or data residing or recorded on the Covered
Equipment. Recovery and reinstallation of software programs and user data are not
covered under this Plan.

5. How to Obtain Service and Support?
You may obtain hardware services and technical support by accessing the Apple website or
calling the telephone number listed in the AppleCare Quick Reference Guide (the “Guide”). The
Guide is included in the Plan’s packaging. If calling, an Apple technical support representative
will answer, request your Plan Agreement Number or Covered Equipment serial number, before
providing assistance. Keep your Plan Confirmation document and the original sales receipt for your
Covered Equipment and your Plan, as it will be required if there is any question as to your product’s
eligibility for coverage.
6. Hardware Service Options
6.1 Apple will provide hardware services through one or more of the following options:
(i) Carry-in service. Carry-in service is available for most Covered Equipment. Return the
Covered Equipment to an Apple-owned retail store or an AASP location offering carry-in
service. Service will be performed at the location, or the store or service provider may
send the Covered Equipment to an Apple repair service (“ARS”) location to be serviced.
Once you are notified that service is complete, you will promptly retrieve the Covered
Equipment.
(ii) Onsite service. Onsite service is available in some countries for many desktop computers
if the location of the Covered Equipment is within 50 miles (80 kilometers) radius of
an Apple Authorized Onsite Service Provider. Certain parts serviceable under do-it-
yourself parts service, as described below, are not be eligible for Onsite service. If Apple
determines that onsite service is available, Apple will dispatch a service technician to
the location of the Covered Equipment. Service will be performed at the location, or
the service technician will transport the Covered Equipment to an AASP or ARS location
for repair. If the Covered Equipment is repaired at an AASP or ARS location, Apple will
arrange for transportation of the Covered Equipment to your location following service. If
the service technician is not granted access to the Covered Equipment at the appointed
time, any further onsite visits may be subject to an additional charge.
(iii) Mail-in service. Direct mail-in service is available for most Covered Equipment. If Apple
determines that your Covered Equipment is eligible for mail-in service, Apple will send
you prepaid way bills (and if you no longer have the original packaging, packaging

material) and you will ship the Covered Equipment to an ARS location in accordance with
Apple’s instructions. Once service is complete, the ARS location will return the Covered
Equipment to you. Apple will pay for shipping to and from your location if all instructions
are followed.
(iv) Express replacement or do-it-yourself (“DIY”) parts service. Express replacement service
is available in certain countries for certain Covered Equipment products, and DIY parts
service is available for many Covered Equipment parts, allowing you to service your own
product. If express replacement or DIY parts service is available in the circumstances, the
following process will apply.
(a) Service where Apple requires return of the replaced product or part. Apple may
require a credit card authorization as security for the retail price of the replacement
product or part and applicable shipping costs. If you are unable to provide credit
card authorization, service may not be available to you and Apple will offer
alternative arrangements for service. Apple will ship a replacement product or
part to you with installation instructions, if applicable, and any requirements for
the return of the replaced product or part. If you follow the instructions, Apple will
cancel the credit card authorization, so you will not be charged for the product
or part and shipping to and from your location. If you fail to return the replaced
product or part as instructed or return a replaced product or part that is ineligible
for service, Apple will charge the credit card for the authorized amount.
(b) Service where Apple does not require return of the replaced product or part.
Apple will ship you free of charge a replacement product or part accompanied by
instructions on installation, if applicable, and any requirements for the disposal of
the replaced product or part.
(c) Apple is not responsible for any labor costs you incur relating to express
replacement or DIY parts service. Should you require further assistance, contact
Apple at the telephone number listed in the Guide.

6.2 Apple reserves the right to change the method by which Apple may provide repair or
replacement service to you, and your Covered Equipment’s eligibility to receive a particular
method of service. Service will be limited to the options available in the country where
service is requested. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary according
to country. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the Covered
Equipment cannot be serviced in the country it is in. If you seek service in a country that is
not the country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and
regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and
charges. For international service, Apple may repair or exchange defective products and parts
with comparable products and parts that comply with local standards.
7. Your Responsibilities
To receive service or support under the Plan, you agree to comply with the following:
(i) Provide your Plan Agreement Number and a copy of your Plan’s original proof of purchase, if
requested;
(ii) Provide information about the symptoms and causes of the issues with the Covered
Equipment;
(iii) Respond to requests for information, including but not limited to the Covered Equipment
serial number, model, version of the operating system and software installed, any peripherals
devices connected or installed on the Covered Equipment, any error messages displayed,
actions taken before the Covered Equipment experienced the issue and steps taken to resolve
the issue;
(iv) Follow instructions Apple gives you, including but not limited to refraining from sending
Apple products and accessories that are not subject to repair or replacement service and
packing the Covered Equipment in accordance with shipping instructions;
(v) Update software to currently published releases prior to seeking service; and
(vi) Make sure to backup software and data residing on the Covered Equipment. APPLE MAY
REINSTALL THE COVERED EQUIPMENT’S ORIGINAL SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION AND
SUBSEQUENT UPDATE RELEASES WHILE PERFORMING SERVICE, WHICH WILL RESULT IN THE
DELETION OF ALL SOFTWARE AND DATA THAT RESIDED ON THE COVERED EQUIPMENT PRIOR
TO SERVICE. DURING APP FOR IPOD SERVICE, APPLE WILL DELETE THE CONTENTS OF THE IPOD

AND REFORMAT THE STORAGE MEDIA. Apple will return your iPod or provide a replacement
iPod as the iPod was originally configured, subject to applicable updates. Apple may install
iPod OS updates as part of hardware service that will prevent the iPod from reverting to
an earlier version of the iPod OS. Third party applications installed on the iPod may not be
compatible or work with the iPod as a result of the iPod OS update. You will be responsible for
reinstalling all other software programs, data and passwords.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APPLE AND ITS EMPLOYEES AND
AGENTS WILL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY SUBSEQUENT OWNER
FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO COSTS OF
RECOVERING, REPROGRAMMING, OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA OR THE FAILURE
TO MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF DATA, ANY LOSS OF BUSINESS, PROFITS, REVENUE OR
ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, RESULTING FROM APPLE’S OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS PLAN. TO THE
MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LIMIT OF APPLE AND ITS EMPLOYEES
AND AGENT’S LIABILITY TO YOU AND ANY SUBSEQUENT OWNER ARISING UNDER THE PLAN SHALL
NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PRICE PAID FOR THE PLAN. APPLE SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT WARRANT
THAT (i) IT WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR OR REPLACE COVERED EQUIPMENT WITHOUT RISK TO OR LOSS
OF PROGRAMS OR DATA, (ii) IT WILL MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF DATA, OR (iii) THAT THE
OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
FOR CONSUMERS IN JURISDICTIONS WHO HAVE THE BENEFIT OF CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS
OR REGULATIONS, THE BENEFITS CONFERRED BY THIS PLAN ARE IN ADDITION TO ALL RIGHTS AND
REMEDIES PROVIDED UNDER SUCH LAWS AND REGULATIONS. TO THE EXTENT THAT LIABILITY
UNDER SUCH LAWS AND REGULATIONS MAY BE LIMITED, APPLE’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED, AT ITS
SOLE OPTION, TO REPLACE OR REPAIR OF THE COVERED EQUIPMENT OR SUPPLY OF THE SERVICE.
SOME STATES OR PROVINCES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO
YOU.

9. Cancellation
You may cancel this Plan at any time for any reason. If you decide to cancel either call Apple at the
telephone number listed in the guide, or send or fax, where available, written notice with your Plan
Agreement Number to the location appropriate to your country of purchase listed in Section 12
below). A copy of the Plan’s original proof of purchase must accompany your notice. Unless local
law provides otherwise, if you cancel within thirty (30) days of your Plan’s purchase, or receipt of
these Terms and Conditions, whichever occurs later, you will receive a full refund less the value of
any service provided under the Plan. If you cancel more than thirty (30) days after your receipt of
this Plan, you will receive a pro rata refund of the original purchase price, based on the percentage
of unexpired Coverage Period from the Plan’s date of purchase, less (a) the applicable cancellation
fee listed in Section 12 below or ten percent (10%) of the pro-rata amount, whichever is less, and
(b) the value of any service provided to you under the Plan. Unless applicable local law provides
otherwise, Apple may cancel this Plan for fraud or material misrepresentation. Unless applicable
local law provides otherwise, Apple may also cancel this Plan if service parts for the Covered
Equipment become unavailable, upon thirty (30) days’ prior written notice. If Apple cancels this
Plan for the unavailability of service parts, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the Plan’s unexpired
term. This Plan gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that very by
country, state or province.
10. Transfer of Plan
(i) With Transfer of Covered Equipment to New Owner. Subject to the restrictions set forth
below, you may make a one-time permanent transfer of all of your rights under the Plan to
another party, provided that: (a) the transfer includes the original Proof of Purchase, the Plan’s
Confirmation and all of the Plan’s packaging material, including printed materials and these
Terms and Conditions; (b) you notify Apple of the transfer by sending, faxing, where available, or
e-mailing notice of transfer to the location appropriate to your country of purchase as listed in
Section 12 below; and (c) the party receiving the Plan accepts the Terms and Conditions of the
Plan. When notifying Apple of the transfer of the Plan, you must provide the Plan Agreement
Number, the serial number of the Covered Equipment being transferred and the name, address,
telephone number and email address of the new owner.

(ii) With Transfer From Original Covered Equipment to New Covered Equipment. You may make
a one time, permanent transfer of the coverage under the Plan to a new Apple product that
is owned and purchased by you within thirty (30) days of the Covered Equipment purchase.
The new product must be eligible for coverage under the Plan and at the time of transfer both
products must be covered under the manufacturer’s one (1) year limited warranty. Apple will
issue a Plan Confirmation for the new product, which will then become the Covered Equipment.
When notifying Apple of the transfer, you must provide the Plan Agreement Number, the serial
numbers and Proof of Purchase of the products being transferred by sending or faxing, where
available, notice of transfer to Apple as set forth in the section immediately above.
11. General
(i) Apple may subcontract or assign performance of its obligations to third parties but shall not

events outside Apple’s reasonable control.
(iii) You are not required to perform preventative maintenance on the Covered Equipment to
receive service under the Plan.
(iv) This Plan is offered and valid only if you are a resident of a country in which Apple or its
affiliated companies offers the Plan that are set forth here: http://www.apple.com/legal/
applecare/countrylist.html. This Plan is not offered to persons who have not reached the age
of majority. This Plan is not available where prohibited by law.
(v) In carrying out its obligations Apple may, at its discretion and solely for the purposes of
monitoring the quality of Apple’s response, record part or all of the calls between you and
Apple.
(vi) You agree that any information or data disclosed to Apple under this Plan is not confidential
or proprietary to you. Furthermore, you agree that Apple may collect and process data on
your behalf when it provides service. This may include transferring your data to affiliated
companies or service providers located in countries where data protection laws may be less
comprehensive than your country of residence, including but not limited to Australia, Canada,
countries of the European Union, India, Japan, the People’s Republic of China and the U.S.

(vii) Apple has security measures, which should protect your data against unauthorized access
or disclosure as well as unlawful destruction. You will be responsible for the instructions
you give to Apple regarding the processing of data, and Apple will seek to comply with
those instructions as reasonably necessary for the performance of the service and support
obligations under the Plan. If you do not agree with the above or if you have questions
regarding how your data may be impacted by being processed in this way, contact Apple at
the telephone numbers provided.
(viii) Apple will protect your information in accordance with Apple Customer Privacy Policy available
at URL www.apple.com/legal/privacy. If you wish to have access to the information that
Apple holds concerning you or if you want to make changes, access URL www.apple.com/
contact/myinfo to update your personal contact preferences or you may contact Apple at
URL www.apple.com/asia/privacy/contact.
(ix) The terms of the Plan, including the original sales receipt of the Plan and the Plan
Confirmation, prevail over any conflicting, additional, or other terms of any purchase order or
other document, and constitute your and Apple’s entire understanding with respect to the
Plan.
(x) You must purchase and register the Plan while your Covered Equipment is within Apple’s One
Year Limited warranty. Apple is not obligated to renew this Plan. If Apple does offer a renewal,
it will determine the price and terms.
(xi) There is no informal dispute settlement process available under this Plan.
(xii) For Plans sold in an APAC country, “Apple” is the entity or the successor in title to the entity
listed in section 12 below. Apple is the legal and financial obligor for Plans sold in the relevant
country.
(xiii) The governing law of this Plan will be the law of the country listed in section 12 below for the
country in which the Plan was purchased.
(xiv) There is no deductible payment due in respect of a claim made under this Plan.
(xv) The Plan will not be cancelled due to pre-existing conditions in the Covered Equipment that
are eligible for service under this Plan.

12. Country, Province and State Variations
The following country, province and state variations will control if inconsistent with any other
provisions of this Plan:
a) Australia: The rights described in this policy in respect of returns, refunds and warranties are
in addition to the statutory rights to which you may be entitled under the Competition and
Consumer Act 2010 and other applicable Australian consumer protection laws and regulations.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer
Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation
for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not

you will receive a pro-rata refund of the Plan’s original purchase price, less (i) a cancellation

AppleCare Protection Plan memberikan dukungan kelas dunia hingga dua tahun1 untuk iPad, iPhone,
iPod, dan Apple TV serta hingga tiga tahun untuk layar Mac dan layar Apple. Rencana tersebut meliputi
dukungan teknis ahli melalui telepon, layanan di tempat untuk komputer desktop, dan sumber daya
berbasis web di www.apple.com/id/support. Jika produk Apple Anda atau aksesori yang disertakan
perlu diperbaiki, Apple akan memperbaiki atau menggantinya.2
Informasi cakupan
AppleCare Protection Plan Anda harus dibeli dalam jangka waktu dua belas bulan sejak tanggal
pembelian awal produk Apple Anda. Simpan konfirmasi cakupan dan bukti pembayaran penjualan
asli atas produk Apple dan AppleCare Protection Plan. Bukti pembelian mungkin diperlukan jika ada

PERLINDUNGAN KONSUMEN, KEUNTUNGAN YANG DIBERIKAN PROGRAM DI ATAS MERUPAKAN
TAMBAHAN ATAS SEMUA HAK DAN PEMULIHAN HAK YANG DIBERIKAN BERDASARKAN UNDANG-
UNDANG DAN PERATURAN TERSEBUT. TIDAK ADA BAGIAN DALAM PROGRAM INI YANG AKAN
MENGURANGI HAK KONSUMEN MENURUT UNDANG-UNDANG YANG BERLAKU, TERMASUK HAK
KONSUMEN ATAS PEMULIHAN HAK MENURUT UNDANG-UNDANG PERLINDUNGAN KONSUMEN DAN
UNTUK MENGAJUKAN TUNTUTAN KERUGIAN JIKA APPLE TIDAK MELAKUKAN SEPENUHNYA ATAU

1. Program.
Kontrak servis ini mengatur servis perangkat keras dan dukungan teknis yang diberikan kepada
Anda oleh Apple berdasarkan program yang disebutkan di atas (masing-masing disebut
“Program”) untuk produk bermerek Apple dan aksesori yang terdapat dalam kemasan aslinya
(“Peralatan yang Tertanggung”) yang tercantum pada bukti dokumen tanggungan perlindungan
(“Konfirmasi Program”). Untuk Program ini, Apple mengacu pada entitas atau pihak yang ditunjuk
sebagai penjamin yang tercantum dalam pasal 12 di bawah.

2. Waktu Mulai dan Berakhirnya Pertanggungan.
Pertanggungan dimulai saat Anda membeli Program dan berakhir pada tanggal yang ditentukan
di Konfirmasi Program (“Periode Pertanggungan”). Untuk memperoleh Konfirmasi Program,
daftarkan Peralatan yang Tertanggung dan nomor pendaftaran Program Anda (“Nomor Perjanjian
Program”) dengan Apple. Jika pendaftaran otomatis dapat dilakukan, maka kuitansi penjualan
asli Anda dapat menjadi Konfirmasi Program Anda. Persyaratan Program ini, kwitansi penjualan
asli Program, dan Konfirmasi Program masing-masing merupakan bagian dari kontrak servis
Anda. Harga Program tercantum di kwitansi penjualan asli. Pertanggungan servis perangkat
keras dan dukungan teknis yang disediakan dalam Program merupakan tambahan atas
pertanggungan yang diberikan oleh garansi perangkat keras produsen dan dukungan teknis
bebas biaya.
3. Cakupan
3.1 Servis Perangkat Keras
Jika selama Periode Pertanggungan, Anda mengirimkan klaim yang berlaku dengan
memberitahukan Apple bahwa (i) cacat bahan dan pembuatan terjadi pada Peralatan yang
Tertanggung, atau (ii) kemampuan baterai iPod yang tertanggung untuk menampung daya
elektrik berkurang 50% (lima puluh persen) atau lebih dari spesifikasi aslinya, maka Apple akan
(a) memperbaiki cacat tersebut tanpa biaya, menggunakan suku cadang baru atau rekondisi
yang setara dengan suku cadang baru dalam hal kinerja dan keandalan, atau (b) mengganti
Peralatan yang Tertanggung dengan produk pengganti baru atau yang setara dengan produk
baru dalam hal kinerja dan keandalan, dan setidaknya memiliki kegunaan yang setara dengan
produk asli. Jika Apple mengganti Peralatan yang Tertanggung, maka produk asli menjadi hak
milik Apple dan produk pengganti menjadi hak milik Anda dengan pertanggungan untuk sisa
periode Program.
3.2 Peralatan yang Tertanggung
Selain produk dan aksesori bermerek Apple yang terdapat dalam kemasan asli, berikut adalah
“Peralatan yang Tertanggung” yang termasuk menurut Program:

(i) Pada APP untuk Mac, (a) satu layar bermerek Apple yang cocok jika dibeli secara bersamaan
dengan Peralatan yang Tertanggung, (b) tetikus (mouse) bermerek Apple, Magic Trackpad,
Pengisi Daya (Charger) Baterai Apple, dan papan ketik (keyboard) jika diberikan bersama
Peralatan yang Tertanggung (atau dibeli bersama Mac mini), atau (c) AirPort Extreme Card,
AirPort Express atau AirPort Extreme Base Station, Time Capsule, Adaptor layar DVI ke ADC
bermerek Apple, modul Apple RAM, dan MacBook Air SuperDrive jika digunakan bersama
Peralatan yang Tertanggung dan semula Anda beli tidak lebih dari dua tahun sebelum
pembelian Peralatan yang Tertanggung.
(ii) Pada APP untuk Apple TV, AirPort Extreme Card, AirPort Express atau AirPort Extreme Base
Station, dan Time Capsule jika digunakan bersama Peralatan yang Tertanggung dan semula
Anda beli dalam waktu tidak lebih dari dua tahun sebelum pembelian Peralatan yang
Tertanggung.
3.3 Dukungan Teknis
Selama Periode Pertanggungan, Apple akan memberi Anda akses ke sumber dukungan teknis
melalui telepon dan berbasis web. Dukungan teknis dapat mencakup bantuan pemasangan,
pengaktifan, pengaturan, pemecahan masalah, dan pemulihan (kecuali untuk pemulihan
data), termasuk penyimpanan, pengambilan, dan pengelolaan file; penafsiran pesan kesalahan
sistem; serta penentuan waktu servis perangkat keras. Apple akan memberikan dukungan
untuk perangkat lunak yang didukung dengan versi terbaru pada waktu tersebut, serta versi
sebelum Rilis Utama. Untuk pasal ini, “Rilis Utama” berarti versi signifikan perangkat lunak yang
dirilis secara komersial oleh Apple dalam format angka rilis seperti “1.0” atau “2.0” dan bukan
dalam format beta atau prarilis. Cakupan dukungan teknis yang diberikan kepada Anda akan
beragam sesuai dengan Program Anda.
3.4 Cakupan Dukungan Teknis
(i) Pada APP untuk Mac, Apple akan memberikan dukungan teknis untuk Peralatan yang
Tertanggung, perangkat lunak sistem operasi Apple (“Mac OS”), dan aplikasi konsumen
bermerek Apple yang telah terinstal di Peralatan yang Tertanggung (“Perangkat
Lunak Konsumen”). Apple juga akan memberikan dukungan teknis menggunakan
grafis antarmuka pengguna (user interface) untuk administrasi server dan masalah
manajemen jaringan di perangkat lunak server sistem operasi Apple (“Server Mac OS”)
di Mac.

(ii) Pada APP untuk iPod, Apple akan memberikan dukungan teknis untuk Peralatan yang
Tertanggung, OS iPod, dan aplikasi perangkat lunak yang telah terinstal di Peralatan
yang Tertanggung (keduanya disebut sebagai “Perangkat Lunak iPod”) serta masalah
konektivitas antara Peralatan yang Tertanggung dan “Komputer yang Didukung”, yakni
komputer yang memenuhi spesifikasi konektivitas Peralatan yang Tertanggung serta
menjalankan sistem operasi yang didukung oleh Peralatan yang Tertanggung.
(iii) Pada APP untuk Layar Apple, Apple akan memberikan dukungan teknis untuk Peralatan
yang Tertanggung dan masalah konektivitas antara Peralatan yang Tertanggung dan
Komputer yang Didukung.
(iv) Pada APP untuk Apple TV, Apple akan memberikan dukungan teknis untuk Peralatan
yang Tertanggung, aplikasi perangkat lunak yang telah terinstal di Peralatan yang
Tertanggung (“Perangkat Lunak Apple TV”), serta masalah konektivitas antara Peralatan
yang Tertanggung, Komputer yang Didukung, dan “TV yang Didukung”, yakni TV yang
memenuhi spesifikasi konektivitas Peralatan yang Tertanggung.
4. Apa yang Tidak Tertanggung?
4.1 Servis Perangkat Keras.
Program tidak berlaku untuk:
(i) Pemasangan, pemindahan, atau pembuangan Peralatan yang Tertanggung, atau
penyediaan peralatan saat Peralatan yang Tertanggung diservis;
(ii) Kerusakan yang disebabkan karena (a) produk yang bukan Peralatan yang Tertanggung
(b) kecelakaan, penyalahgunaan, kesalahan penggunaan, terkena cairan, kebakaran,
gempa bumi, atau penyebab luar lainnya, (c) mengoperasikan Peralatan yang
Tertanggung di luar penggunaan yang diizinkan atau tujuan penggunaan yang dijelaskan
oleh produsen, atau (d) servis (termasuk peningkatan kemampuan dan pengembangan)
yang dilakukan oleh siapa pun yang bukan perwakilan Apple atau Penyedia Servis Resmi
Apple (“AASP”);
(iii) Peralatan yang Tertanggung dengan nomor seri yang telah diubah, dilepas, atau dihapus,
maupun telah dimodifikasi untuk mengubah fungsi atau kemampuannya tanpa izin
tertulis dari produsen;

(iv) Peralatan yang Tertanggung yang hilang atau dicuri. Program ini hanya mencakup
Peralatan yang Tertanggung yang dikembalikan ke Apple dalam keadaan utuh;
(v) Kerusakan pada tampilan luar (cosmetic damage) Peralatan yang Tertanggung, termasuk
namun tidak terbatas pada goresan, lekukan, dan plastik yang pecah pada porta;
(vi) Suku cadang habis pakai, misalnya baterai, kecuali dalam hal cakupan baterai pada APP
untuk iPod atau kecuali kegagalan terjadi karena cacat pada bahan dan pembuatan;
(vii) Pemeliharaan preventif pada Peralatan yang Tertanggung; atau
(viii) Cacat yang disebabkan keausan dan kerusakan normal atau keausan normal produk.
4.2 Dukungan Teknis.
Program tidak mencakup:
(i) Masalah yang dapat diatasi dengan meningkatkan kemampuan perangkat lunak ke versi
terkini;
(ii) Penggunaan atau pengubahan yang Anda lakukan pada Peralatan yang Tertanggung,
Mac OS, Perangkat Lunak iPod, Perangkat Lunak Apple TV, atau Perangkat Lunak
Konsumen dalam cara yang tidak ditujukan untuk Peralatan yang Tertanggung atau
perangkat lunak;
(iii) Produk pihak ketiga atau pengaruh maupun interaksinya dengan Peralatan yang
Tertanggung, Mac OS, Server Mac OS, Perangkat Lunak iPod, Perangkat Lunak Apple TV,
atau Perangkat Lunak Konsumen;
(iv) Penggunaan komputer atau sistem operasi pada APP untuk iPod oleh Anda yang tidak
terkait dengan Perangkat Lunak iPod maupun masalah konektivitas dengan Peralatan
yang Tertanggung;
(v) Penggunaan komputer atau sistem operasi pada APP untuk Layar Apple oleh Anda yang
tidak terkait dengan masalah konektivitas dengan Peralatan yang Tertanggung;
(vi) Penggunaan komputer atau sistem operasi pada APP untuk Apple TV oleh Anda yang
tidak terkait dengan Perangkat Lunak Apple TV maupun masalah konektivitas dengan
Peralatan yang Tertanggung;

(vii) Perangkat lunak Apple selain Mac OS, Server Mac OS, Perangkat Lunak iPod, Perangkat
Lunak Apple TV, atau Perangkat Lunak Konsumen yang tertanggung dalam Program yang
berlaku;
(viii) Perangkat lunak Mac OS untuk server, kecuali bila menggunakan grafis antarmuka
pengguna (user interface) untuk administrasi server dan masalah manajemen jaringan
pada Server Mac OS di Mac;
(ix) Perangkat lunak Mac OS atau perangkat lunak bermerek Apple apa pun yang dirancang
sebagai versi “beta”, “prarilis”, atau “pratinjau” maupun perangkat lunak yang serupa;
(x) Browser web, aplikasi email, dan perangkat lunak penyedia layanan Internet pihak ketiga,
atau pengaturan Mac OS yang diperlukan untuk digunakan; maupun
(xi) Kerusakan pada, atau kehilangan perangkat lunak maupun data apa pun yang terdapat
atau disimpan di Peralatan yang Tertanggung. Pemulihan atau penginstalan ulang
program perangkat lunak dan data pengguna tidak tertanggung dalam Program ini.
5. Bagaimana Cara Memperoleh Servis dan Dukungan?
Anda dapat memperoleh servis perangkat keras dan dukungan teknis dengan mengakses situs
Web Apple atau menghubungi nomor telepon yang tercantum dalam Panduan Referensi Cepat
AppleCare (“Panduan”). Panduan tersebut tersedia dalam kemasan Program. Jika membuat
panggilan, perwakilan dukungan teknis Apple akan menjawab, meminta Nomor Perjanjian Program
atau nomor seri Peralatan yang Tertanggung, sebelum memberikan bantuan. Simpan dokumen
Konfirmasi Program Anda dan kuitansi penjualan asli untuk Peralatan Tertanggung Anda dan
Program Anda, karena akan dibutuhkan jika ada pertanyaan mengenai apakah produk Anda
memenuhi syarat cakupan.
6. Opsi Servis Perangkat Keras
6.1 Apple akan memberikan servis perangkat keras melalui satu atau beberapa pilihan berikut
ini:
(i) Servis kunjungan (carry-in service). Servis kunjungan tersedia untuk sebagian besar
Peralatan yang Tertanggung. Kembalikan Peralatan yang Tertanggung ke gerai ritel milik
Apple atau lokasi AASP yang menawarkan servis kunjungan. Servis akan dilakukan di
lokasi, atau toko atau penyedia servis dapat mengirimkan Peralatan yang Tertanggung ke

lokasi servis perbaikan Apple (“ARS”) untuk diperbaiki. Setelah menerima pemberitahuan
bahwa servis selesai, Anda akan diminta mengambil Peralatan yang Tertanggung.
(ii) Servis di tempat (onsite service). Servis di tempat tersedia di beberapa negara untuk
banyak komputer desktop jika lokasi Peralatan yang Tertanggung berada dalam radius
50 mil (80 kilometer) dari Penyedia Servis di Tempat Resmi Apple. Suku cadang tertentu
yang dapat diperbaiki dalam servis suku cadang yang-dilakukan-sendiri (do-it-yourself),
sebagaimana dijelaskan di bawah, tidak memenuhi syarat untuk Servis di tempat. Jika
Apple menentukan bahwa servis di tempat tersedia, maka Apple akan menugaskan
teknisi servis ke lokasi Peralatan yang Tertanggung. Servis akan dilakukan di lokasi, atau
teknisi servis akan mengirimkan Peralatan yang Tertanggung ke lokasi AASP atau ARS
untuk diperbaiki. Jika Peralatan yang Tertanggung diperbaiki di lokasi AASP atau ARS,
maka Apple akan mengatur pengiriman Peralatan yang Tertanggung ke lokasi Anda
setelah perbaikan selesai. Jika teknisi servis tidak dapat mengakses Peralatan yang
Tertanggung pada waktu yang ditentukan, maka kunjungan di tempat berikutnya akan
dikenakan biaya tambahan.
(iii) Servis kirim (mail-in service). Servis kirim langsung tersedia untuk sebagian besar
Peralatan yang Tertanggung. Jika Apple menentukan bahwa Peralatan yang Tertanggung
memenuhi syarat untuk servis kirim, maka Apple akan mengirimkan surat tanda
pengiriman (waybill) prabayar (dan kemasan asli, jika Anda tidak memilikinya lagi), lalu
Anda akan mengirimkan Peralatan yang Tertanggung ke lokasi ARS menurut petunjuk
Apple. Setelah servis selesai, ARS akan mengembalikan Peralatan yang Tertanggung
kepada Anda. Apple akan membayar pengiriman ke dan dari lokasi Anda jika semua
petunjuk diikuti.
(iv) Penggantian cepat atau servis suku cadang do-it-yourself (“DIY”). Servis penggantian
cepat tersedia di negara tertentu untuk produk Peralatan yang Tertanggung tertentu, dan
servis suku cadang DIY tersedia untuk banyak suku cadang Peralatan yang Tertanggung,
yang memungkinkan Anda memperbaiki produk Anda sendiri. Jika penggantian cepat
atau servis suku cadang DIY tersedia dalam keadaan tersebut, maka proses berikut ini
akan berlaku.

(a) Servis di mana Apple mengharuskan pengembalian produk atau suku cadang yang
diganti. Apple dapat meminta otorisasi kartu kredit sebagai jaminan atas harga
eceran produk atau suku cadang pengganti dan biaya pengiriman yang berlaku.
Jika Anda tidak dapat memberikan otorisasi kartu kredit, maka servis mungkin
tidak tersedia untuk Anda dan Apple akan menawarkan pengaturan alternatif
untuk pemberian servis. Apple akan mengirimkan produk atau suku cadang
pengganti kepada Anda dengan petunjuk pemasangan, jika ada, dan persyaratan
pengembalian produk atau suku cadang yang diganti. Jika Anda mengikuti
petunjuk, maka Apple akan membatalkan otorisasi kartu kredit, sehingga Anda tidak
akan dikenakan biaya untuk produk atau suku cadang serta biaya pengiriman ke
dan dari lokasi Anda. Jika Anda gagal mengembalikan produk atau suku cadang
yang diganti sebagaimana diinstruksikan atau mengembalikan produk atau suku
cadang yang diganti yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan servis, maka Apple akan
mengenakan biaya otorisasi ke kartu kredit.
(b) Servis di mana Apple tidak mengharuskan pengembalian produk atau suku cadang
yang diganti. Apple akan mengirimkan kepada Anda produk atau suku cadang
pengganti tanpa dipungut biaya disertai dengan petunjuk pemasangan, jika ada,
dan persyaratan pembuangan produk atau suku cadang yang diganti.
(c) Apple tidak bertanggung jawab atas setiap biaya tenaga kerja yang Anda keluarkan
sehubungan dengan penggantian cepat atau servis suku cadang DIY. Bila Anda
memerlukan bantuan lebih lanjut, hubungi Apple di nomor telepon yang tercantum
dalam Panduan.
6.2 Apple berhak mengubah cara penyediaan servis perbaikan atau penggantian kepada Anda,
serta kelayakan Peralatan yang Tertanggung untuk menerima cara servis tertentu. Servis akan
terbatas pada pilihan yang tersedia di negara tempat permintaan servis diajukan. Pilihan
servis, ketersediaan suku cadang, dan waktu penanganan dapat beragam di setiap negara.
Anda mungkin harus menanggung biaya pengiriman dan penanganan jika Peralatan yang
Tertanggung tidak dapat diperbaiki di negara tempat permintaan servis diajukan. Jika Anda
mencari servis di negara yang bukan negara tempat pembelian, Anda harus mematuhi

semua undang-undang serta peraturan impor dan ekspor yang berlaku serta bertanggung
jawab atas semua biaya pabean, PPN, dan pajak serta biaya yang terkait lainnya. Untuk servis
internasional, Apple dapat memperbaiki atau mengganti produk dan suku cadang yang rusak
dengan produk dan suku cadang yang sebanding serta memenuhi standar setempat.
7. Tanggung Jawab Anda
Agar dapat menerima servis atau dukungan menurut Program, Anda setuju untuk mematuhi hal
berikut ini:
(i) Memberikan Nomor Perjanjian Program dan salinan asli bukti pembelian Program, jika diminta;
(ii) Memberikan informasi tentang kondisi dan penyebab masalah pada Peralatan yang
Tertanggung;
(iii) Merespons permintaan informasi, termasuk namun tidak terbatas pada nomor seri Peralatan
yang Tertanggung, model, versi sistem operasi dan perangkat lunak terinstal, setiap perangkat
periferal yang tersambung atau terpasang ke Peralatan yang Tertanggung, setiap pesan
kesalahan yang ditampilkan, tindakan yang dilakukan sebelum Peralatan yang Tertanggung
mengalami masalah, serta langkah-langkah yang diambil untuk mengatasi masalah;
(iv) Mengikuti petunjuk yang diberikan Apple, termasuk namun tidak terbatas pada menghindari
pengiriman produk dan aksesori Apple yang tidak memerlukan servis perbaikan atau
penggantian serta mengemas Peralatan yang Tertanggung menurut petunjuk pengiriman;
(v) Memperbarui perangkat lunak ke versi terkini sebelum meminta bantuan; dan
(vi) Memastikan untuk mencadangkan perangkat lunak dan data yang terdapat di Peralatan
yang Tertanggung. APPLE DAPAT MENGINSTAL ULANG KONFIGURASI PERANGKAT LUNAK
ASLI PERALATAN YANG TERTANGGUNG DAN VERSI PEMBARUAN BERIKUTNYA SEWAKTU
MELAKUKAN SERVIS, YANG AKAN MENGHAPUS SEMUA PERANGKAT LUNAK DAN DATA YANG
TERDAPAT DI PERALATAN SEBELUM SERVIS DILAKUKAN. SELAMA PELAKSANAAN SERVIS APP
UNTUK IPOD BERLANGSUNG, APPLE AKAN MENGHAPUS KONTEN IPOD DAN MEMFORMAT
ULANG MEDIA PENYIMPANAN. Apple akan mengembalikan iPod atau memberikan iPod
pengganti sebagaimana iPod dikonfigurasi semula, tergantung pada pembaruan yang
berlaku. Apple dapat menginstal pembaruan iPod OS sebagai bagian dari servis perangkat

keras yang akan mencegah iPod beralih kembali ke iPod OS versi sebelumnya. Aplikasi pihak
ketiga di iPod mungkin tidak kompatibel atau tidak berfungsi dengan iPod sebagai akibat dari
pembaruan iPod OS. Anda bertanggung jawab untuk menginstal kembali semua program
perangkat lunak lain, data, dan sandi.
8. Batasan Kewajiban
SEJAUH DIPERKENANKAN OLEH HUKUM YANG BERLAKU, APPLE SERTA KARYAWAN DAN AGENNYA
TIDAK BERTANGGUNG JAWAB KEPADA ANDA ATAU PEMILIK BERIKUTNYA ATAS KERUSAKAN
TIDAK LANGSUNG ATAU KONSEKUENSIAL, TERMASUK NAMUN TIDAK TERBATAS PADA BIAYA
PEMULIHAN, PEMROGRAMAN ULANG, MAUPUN PERBANYAKAN PROGRAM ATAU DATA MAUPUN
KEGAGALAN UNTUK MEMPERTAHANKAN KERAHASIAAN DATA, KERUGIAN USAHA, HILANGNYA
KEUNTUNGAN, HILANGNYA PENDAPATAN, ATAU HILANGNYA PENGHEMATAN, YANG TIMBUL DARI
KEWAJIBAN APPLE MENURUT PROGRAM INI. SEJAUH DIPERKENANKAN OLEH HUKUM YANG
BERLAKU, BATAS KEWAJIBAN APPLE SERTA KARYAWAN DAN AGENNYA KEPADA ANDA SERTA
PEMILIK BERIKUTNYA BERDASARKAN PROGRAM TIDAK AKAN MELEBIHI HARGA YANG AWALNYA
DIBAYAR UNTUK MEMBELI PROGRAM. APPLE SECARA KHUSUS TIDAK MENJAMIN BAHWA (i) APPLE
DAPAT MEMPERBAIKI ATAU MENGGANTI PERALATAN TANPA MENIMBULKAN RISIKO ATAU TANPA
MENGHILANGKAN PROGRAM ATAU DATA, (ii) APPLE AKAN MEMPERTAHANKAN KERAHASIAAN
DATA, ATAU (iii) BAHWA PENGOPERASIAN PRODUK TIDAK AKAN TERGANGGU ATAU BEBAS
KESALAHAN.
UNTUK KONSUMEN DI WILAYAH HUKUM YANG MENERAPKAN UNDANG-UNDANG ATAU PERATURAN
PERLINDUNGAN KONSUMEN, KEUNTUNGAN YANG DIBERIKAN PROGRAM INI MERUPAKAN
TAMBAHAN ATAS SEMUA HAK DAN PEMULIHAN HAK YANG DIBERIKAN BERDASARKAN UNDANG-
UNDANG DAN PERATURAN TERSEBUT. SEPANJANG KEWAJIBAN BERDASARKAN HUKUM DAN
PERATURAN TERSEBUT DAPAT DIBATASI, KEWAJIBAN APPLE TERBATAS, ATAS PILIHANNYA SENDIRI,
UNTUK MENGGANTI ATAU MEMPERBAIKI PERALATAN ATAU MELAKUKAN SERVIS. BEBERAPA NEGARA
BAGIAN ATAU PROVINSI TIDAK MEMBOLEHKAN PENGECUALIAN ATAU PEMBATASAN KERUGIAN
INSIDENTAL ATAU KONSEKUENSIAL, SEHINGGA SEBAGIAN ATAU SEMUA BATASAN DI ATAS MUNGKIN
TIDAK BERLAKU TERHADAP ANDA.

9. Pembatalan
Anda dapat membatalkan Program ini kapan pun dengan alasan apa pun. Jika Anda
memutuskan untuk membatalkan, hubungi Apple pada nomor telepon yang tercantum dalam
panduan ini, atau kirim melalui faksimili, bila tersedia, pemberitahuan tertulis berisi Nomor
Perjanjian Program ke lokasi yang sesuai di negara pembelian yang tercantum pada Pasal 12 di
bawah). Salinan bukti asli pembelian Program harus disertakan bersama pemberitahuan. Kecuali
dinyatakan sebaliknya oleh hukum setempat, jika Anda membatalkan dalam waktu 30 (tiga
puluh) hari sejak pembelian Program, atau penerimaan Persyaratan dan Ketentuan ini, mana
pun yang lebih dulu, maka Anda akan menerima pengembalian uang penuh dikurangi nilai
servis yang diberikan dalam Program. Jika Anda membatalkan dalam waktu lebih dari 30 (tiga
puluh) hari setelah menerima program, maka Anda akan menerima pengembalian uang secara
prorata dari harga beli awal, berdasarkan persentase Periode Pertanggungan yang masih berlaku
sejak tanggal pembelian Program, dikurangi (a) biaya pembatalan yang berlaku yang tercantum
dalam Pasal 12 di bawah atau 10% (sepuluh persen) dari jumlah prorata, mana pun yang lebih
sedikit, dan (b) nilai servis yang diberikan kepada Anda berdasarkan Program. Kecuali dinyatakan
sebaliknya oleh hukum setempat yang berlaku, Apple dapat membatalkan Program ini dengan
alasan penipuan atau kesalahan penyajian materi. Kecuali dinyatakan sebaliknya oleh hukum
setempat yang berlaku, Apple juga dapat membatalkan Program ini jika suku cadang servis
untuk Peralatan tidak tersedia, dengan memberikan pemberitahuan tertulis 30 (tiga puluh) hari
sebelumnya. Jika Apple membatalkan Program ini karena ketidaktersediaan suku cadang servis,
maka Anda akan menerima pengembalian uang secara prorata untuk periode garansi Program
yang masih berlaku. Program ini memberi Anda hak hukum spesifik, dan Anda juga dapat
memperoleh hak lainnya yang beragam menurut negara, negara bagian, atau provinsi.
10. Pengalihan Program
(i) Dengan Pengalihan Peralatan ke Pemilik Baru. Menurut pembatasan yang ditetapkan di bawah,
Anda dapat melakukan pengalihan semua hak secara permanen sebanyak satu kali berdasarkan
Program ke pihak lain, selama: (a) pengalihan mencakup Bukti asli Pembelian, Konfirmasi
Program, dan seluruh kemasan Program, termasuk materi cetak serta Persyaratan dan Ketentuan
ini; (b) Anda memberitahukan Apple tentang pengalihan tersebut dengan mengirimkan
pemberitahuan pengalihan melalui pos, faksimili (bila tersedia), atau email ke lokasi yang sesuai
di negara pembelian sebagaimana tercantum dalam Pasal 12 di bawah; dan (c) pihak penerima

Program menyetujui Persyaratan dan Ketentuan Program. Saat memberitahukan pengalihan
Program kepada Apple, Anda harus memberikan Nomor Perjanjian Program, nomor seri
Peralatan yang akan dialihkan serta nama, alamat, nomor telepon, dan alamat email pemilik
baru.
(ii) Dengan Pengalihan dari Peralatan Sebelumnya ke Peralatan Baru. Berdasarkan Program ini, Anda
dapat melakukan pengalihan cakupan perlindungan secara permanen sebanyak satu kali ke
produk Apple baru yang dimiliki dan dibeli oleh Anda dalam waktu 30 (tiga puluh) hari sejak
pembelian Peralatan. Produk baru harus memenuhi persyaratan perlindungan berdasarkan
Program dan pada saat pengalihan, kedua produk harus dalam garansi terbatas 1 (satu)
tahun dari produsen. Apple akan menerbitkan Konfirmasi Program untuk produk baru, yang
selanjutnya akan menjadi Peralatan. Saat memberi tahu Apple tentang pengalihan, Anda harus
memberikan Nomor Perjanjian Program, nomor seri, dan Bukti Pembelian produk yang dialihkan
dengan mengirimkan pemberitahuan pengalihan melalui pos atau faksimili (bila tersedia)
kepada Apple sebagaimana ditentukan dalam pasal di atas.
11. Umum
(i) Apple mungkin menggunakan subkontraktor atau pihak ketiga untuk menangani
kewajibannya, namun Apple tetap memiliki kewajibannya terhadap Anda.
(ii) Apple tidak bertanggung jawab atas kegagalan atau penundaan dalam menjalankan
kewajibannya berdasarkan Program ini yang disebabkan oleh masalah di luar kekuasaan
Apple yang wajar.
(iii) Untuk menerima servis berdasarkan Program ini, Anda tidak perlu melakukan pemeliharaan
preventif pada Peralatan.
(iv) Program ini hanya ditawarkan dan berlaku jika Anda adalah penduduk negara tempat Apple
atau afiliasinya menawarkan Program ini sebagaimana tercantum di sini: http://www.apple.com/
legal/applecare/countrylist.html. Program ini tidak ditawarkan kepada orang yang belum
dewasa. Program ini tidak tersedia jika dilarang oleh hukum.
(v) Dalam menjalankan kewajibannya Apple dapat, atas kebijakannya sendiri dan hanya untuk
mengawasi kualitas tanggapan Apple, merekam sebagian atau seluruh pembicaraan telepon
antara Anda dengan Apple.

(vi) Anda setuju bahwa informasi atau data apa pun yang diberikan kepada Apple berdasarkan
Program ini tidak bersifat rahasia atau eksklusif untuk Anda. Selanjutnya, Anda menyetujui
bahwa Apple dapat mengumpulkan dan memproses data atas nama Anda bila Apple
menyediakan servis. Tindakan ini dapat mencakup pengalihan data Anda ke perusahaan atau
penyedia layanan yang terafiliasi di negara yang menerapkan undang-undang perlindungan
data yang mungkin kurang lengkap dibandingkan dengan negara tempat Anda tinggal,
termasuk namun tidak terbatas pada Australia, Kanada, negara-negara Uni Eropa, India,
Jepang, Cina, dan Amerika Serikat.
(vii) Apple menerapkan upaya pengamanan yang digunakan untuk melindungi data Anda
dari akses atau pengungkapan tidak sah dan pemusnahan yang melanggar hukum. Anda
bertanggung jawab atas petunjuk yang Anda berikan kepada Apple perihal pemrosesan data,
dan Apple akan berusaha mematuhi petunjuk tersebut sepanjang diperlukan secara wajar
untuk melakukan kewajiban servis dan dukungan seperti yang dalam Program. Jika Anda
tidak menyetujui hal-hal di atas atau jika Anda memiliki pertanyaan tentang dampak terhadap
data yang akan diproses dalam cara ini, hubungi Apple di nomor telepon yang tersedia.
(viii) Apple akan melindungi informasi Anda sesuai dengan Kebijakan Privasi Pelanggan Apple
yang tersedia di URL www.apple.com/legal/privacy. Jika Anda ingin mengakses atau
mengubah informasi tentang Anda yang disimpan oleh Apple, buka URL www.apple.com/
contact/myinfo untuk memperbarui preferensi kontak pribadi atau hubungi Apple di URL
www.apple.com/privacy/contact.
(ix) Persyaratan Program, termasuk kwitansi penjualan asli Program dan Konfirmasi Program, akan
diutamakan jika terjadi konflik, atau jika ada tambahan atau persyaratan lain atas pesanan
pembelian atau dokumen lain apa pun, serta menyatakan pemahaman Anda dan Apple
secara keseluruhan terkait dengan Program ini.
(x) Anda harus membeli dan mendaftarkan Program ini saat Peralatan masih dalam Garansi
Terbatas Satu Tahun Apple. Apple tidak berkewajiban untuk memperpanjang Program ini. Jika
Apple menawarkan perpanjangan, maka Apple akan menetapkan harga dan persyaratannya.
(xi) Tidak ada proses penyelesaian sengketa informal dalam Program ini.

(xii) Untuk Program yang dijual di negara APAC, “Apple” adalah entitas atau pihak yang ditunjuk
sebagai penjamin untuk entitas yang tercantum dalam pasal 12 di bawah. Apple merupakan
pemegang kewajiban hukum dan keuangan untuk Program yang dijual di negara terkait.
(xiii) Hukum yang mengatur Program ini adalah hukum dari negara yang tercantum dalam pasal 12
di bawah ini untuk negara tempat Program dibeli.
(xiv) Tidak ada pembayaran yang dapat dikurangi akibat klaim yang dibuat berdasarkan Program
ini.
(xv) Program tidak akan dibatalkan karena ketentuan sebelumnya dalam Peralatan yang
memenuhi syarat untuk servis berdasarkan Program ini.
12. Negara, Provinsi, dan Negara Bagian
Berikut ini adalah negara, provinsi, dan negara bagian yang akan mengambil alih kontrol jika
ketentuan Program ini berbeda:
Afganistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Kamboja, Guam, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal,
Pakistan, Filipina, Sri Lanka, Singapura dan Vietnam: Pihak-pihak dalam Kontrak – Apple South
Asia Pte. Ltd. di 7 Ang Mo Kio Street 64, Singapore, 569086 (“Apple”). Pembatalan (Pasal 9) –
Pembatalan dilakukan dengan mengirim pemberitahuan tertulis kepada AppleCare Administration,
Apple South Asia Pte. Ltd. of 7 Ang Mo Kio Street 64, Singapore 569086. Jika Anda membatalkan
lebih dari 30 hari sejak menerima Program ini, maka Anda akan menerima pengembalian secara
prorata atas harga asli pembelian Program, dikurangi (i) biaya pembatalan sebesar $45 (Singapura
Dolar) atau 10% dari jumlah prorata tersebut, mana pun yang lebih sedikit dan (ii) nilai servis apa
pun yang diberikan kepada Anda berdasarkan Program ini. Pengalihan (Pasal 10) – Pengalihan
dengan mengirim pemberitahuan tertulis kepada AppleCare Administration, Apple South Asia Pte.
Ltd. of 7 Ang Mo Kio Street 64, Singapore 569086. Persyaratan umum (Pasal 11) – Program ini hanya
ditawarkan dan berlaku di Afganistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Guam, Indonesia,
Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Filipina, Sri Lanka, Singapura, dan Vietnam. Program ini diatur
berdasarkan undang-undang Republik Singapura.
