 Preliminary Users Manual  Electro-Voice Model CSH-1000 Wireless Microphone Transmitter  (Ev Band C frequencies)  The Electro-Voice (Ev) CSH-1000 Is a Professional Grade Wireless Transmitter operating within the frequency range of 776.0 MHz to 800.000 MHz. ( Ev Band C frequencies).  The CSH-1000 combines frequency agility and ease of use like no other. The transmitter operates within a 24 MHz wide segment in 25 KHz steps.  The high quality audio circuitry and advanced Radio Frequency (RF) signal processing offer broadcast quality signal-to-noise and audio clarity.  System features include:  • Over-molded Warmgrip ™ handle. • Interchangeable microphone heads. • Smart Battery circuit, accepts either polarity orientation. • Permanent Flash Memory for frequency/setting storage. • On-Loc prevents accidental power off. • LCD Display for ease of viewing. • Internal Antenna.    Quick set-up:  1. With the Power Switch on the transmitter OFF, install a fresh battery into       the transmitter.  2. Place the transmitter Power Switch to the ON position.  3. The Red Battery light near the display will flash on once and then off.     The display will also come on briefly displaying the battery level.  4. The screen will stop at the GP (Group) and CH (Channel) screen. If the     Group and Channel match the desired receiver group and channel,         Proceed to Step 7. If not, proceed to Step 5.
 CSH-1000 Users Manual    Page 2  Quick set cont’d.  5. To select a different GP/CH, press MENU if required to get to the      GP/CH display. Press the SET button once and the Group number will      flash. Use the up and down arrows to change the group number. Press     the SET button to save the Group.  6. The Channel number will start flashing after step 5. Use the up/down       arrows to change the Channel number. Press SET and the channel is now      saved.  7. Talk test the transmitter in conjunction with the receiver/audio syatem.     Adjust the microphone gain control on the transmitter as required.  The Transmit Power (RF) is shipped set to “Norm” for use with multiple frequency systems. If set to High for longer distances or to suppress noise, the power is approximately 50 milliwatts.  When power off is required, place the power on-off slide switch in the OFF position. The display will then indicate Loc-Off. Press the SET button to clear the Loc-Off function.
