Limited Modular Approval (LMA) –Internal Integration
User Manual for FCC ID: HBW8522 and IC: 2666A-8522
Please note that the Wi-Fi Marvell Module MW300, FCC ID: HBW8522 / ISED HVIN/PMN
MW300, IC: 2666A-8522, is meant only to be utilized within The Chamberlain Group, Inc.
(i.e., Grantee only) only. Hence, Chamberlain Group does not sell this module externally to
other manufacturers.
As the Marvell Wi-Fi Module MW300 intended to-be soldered to other hosts, The
Chamberlain Group, Inc. (CGI) will evaluate all new hosts via FCC/IC Class 2 Permissive
Change (C2PC) to the Limited Modular Approval. This includes the need for additional
testing.
Should the Wi-Fi Marvell Module MW300 be modified in any way, per FCC Part 15.21,
modifications may void authorization of the LMA as re-testing may be necessary and either
class II permissive change or new grant of authorization and ISED certification shall be
obtained.
When this module is used in a host device and class II permissive change is obtained the
final product must contain the following information:
CGI will mark the host product with a string like “contains FCC ID: HBW8522 and IC:
2666A-8522”.
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules and Industry Canada/ISED (IC)
RSS-247. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may
not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
In the host product user manual a warning statement similar to the following shall be
used: changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
Additional warning regarding minimum separation distance shall be used as well.
This or similar statement shall be used: The end user must ensure that the minimum
separation distance of 20 cm between the device and all users or bystanders is
maintained at all times.

final product or on the label for final product.
