not just louder, but clearer and easier
to understand.

button that controls the loudness of the receiv-
er. Once the CLARITY POWER button is

set and headset receive. The volume dial pro-
vides up to 15 db of volume before the
Clarity Power button is activated. Once the
Clarity Power button is pressed, the Clarity
435 will provide up to 30db of gain.
Boost On/Off Switch
This switch will disable the reset feature of the
Clarity Power button as follows:
ON- When the BOOST ON/OFF switch is set

every time a call starts, and will default to
ON every time the phone hangs up for more
than 5 seconds. During a call, the Clarity
Power button can toggle the Clarity Power
ON or OFF according to the user’s needs.
OFF- When the BOOST ON/OFF switch is set
to “OFF”, the Boost function (Clarity Power)
will be OFF every time a call starts, and the
user needs to press the Clarity Power button
in order to gain the extra level of amplifica-

Part 68 of FCC Rules Information
a) This equipment complies with Part 68 of
the FCC rules and the requirements
adopted by the ACTA. On the bottom of this
equipment is a label that contains, among
other information, a product identifier in the
format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. If requested, this
number must be provided to the telephone
company.
b) A plug and jack used to connect this
equipment to the premises wiring and tele-
phone network must comply with the applica-
ble FCC Part 68 rules and requirements
adopted by the ACTA. A compliant telephone
cord and modular plug, RJ11 USOC, is pro-
vided with this product. It is designed to be
connected to a compatible modular jack that
is also compliant. See installation instructions
for details.
c) The REN is used to determine the number
of devices that may be connected to a tele-
phone line. Excessive RENs on a telephone
line may result in the devices not ringing in
response to an incoming call. In most but not
all areas, the sum of RENs should not exceed
five (5.0). To be certain of the number of
devices that may be connected to a line, as
determined by the total RENs, contact the
local telephone company. For products
approved after July 23, 2001, the REN for
this product is part of the product identifier
that has the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX.
The digits represented by ## are the REN
without a decimal point (e.g., 03 is a REN
of 0.3). For earlier products, the REN is
separately shown on the label.
d) If this telephone equipment causes harm to
the telephone network, the telephone compa-
ny will notify you in advance that temporary
discontinuance of service may be required.
But if advance notice isn’t practical, the tele-
phone company will notify the customer as
soon as possible. Also, you will be advised
of your right to file a complaint with the FCC
if you believe it is necessary.
e) The telephone company may make
changes in its facilities, equipment, opera-
tions or procedures that could affect the
operation of the equipment. If this happens
the telephone company will provide
advance notice in order for you to make
necessary modifications to maintain uninter-
rupted service.
f) If trouble is experienced with this telephone
equipment, for repair or warranty informa-
tion, please contact Walker Ameriphone,
1-800-552-3368. If the equipment is causing
harm to the telephone network, the telephone
company may request that you disconnect the
equipment until the problem is resolved.
g) This telephone equipment is not intended
to be repaired and it contains no repairable
parts. Opening the equipment or any attempt
to perform repairs will void the warranty. For
service or repairs, call 1-800-552-3368.

Part 15 of FCC Rules Information
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC
Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions: (1) This device may not cause
harmful interference, and (2) this device
must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause unde-
sired operation.
Your equipment has been tested and found to
comply with the limits of a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC rues.
These limits are designed to provide reason-
able protection against harmful interference
in residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses and can radi-
ate radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference
to radio communications. However, there is
no guarantee that interference will not occur
in a particular installation; if this equipment
does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be deter-
mined by turning the equipment off and on,
you are encouraged to try to correct the inter-
ference by one of the following measures:
1. Where it can be done safely, reorient
the receiving television or radio

Industry Canada Technical Specifications
This product meets the applicable Industry
Canada technical specifications.
Before installing this equipment, users should
ensure that it is permissible to be connected
to the facilities of the local telecommunica-
tions company. The equipment must also be
installed using an acceptable method of con-
nection. In some cases, the companyís inside
wiring associated with a single line individual
service may be extended by means of a
certified connector assembly (telephone exten-
sion cord). The customer should be aware
that compliance with the above conditions
may not prevent degradation of service in
some situations.
Repairs to certified equipment should be
made by an authorized Canadian mainte-
nance facility designated by the supplier.
Any repairs or alterations made by the
user to this equipment, or equipment malfunc-
tions, may give the telecommunications com-
pany cause to request the user to disconnect
the equipment.
Users should ensure for their own protection
that the electrical ground connections of the
power utility, telephone lines and internal
metallic water pipe system, if present, are
connected together. This precaution may be
particularly important in rural areas.
CAUTION: Users should not attempt to make
such connections themselves, but should con-
tact the appropriate electrical inspection
authority, or electrician, as appropriate.
The Ringer Equivalence Number is an indica-
tion of the maximum number of terminals
allowed to be connected to a telephone inter-
ference. The termination on an interference
may consist of any combination of devices
subject only to the requirement that the sum
of the Ringer Equivalence Numbers of all the
devices does not exceed five.
(The term ìIC:î before the certification/regis-
tration number only signifies that the Industry
Canada technical specifications were met.)
