IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Some of the following information may not apply specifically to your phone. However, as with

any electronic product, these safety precautions should be observed when using this product.

◈ Please keep this manual in a safe place, for it contains important safety information and

operating instructions.

◈ Please follow and adhere to all warning, safety, and operating instructions indicated on both

the phone and in this manual before use.

◈ Do Not expose the phone to water or moisture.

◈ Do Not expose the phone to extreme heat or cold.

◈ Do Not expose the phone to open flame.

◈ Do Not allow objects to fall or liquids to spill on the product.

◈ Use Original Accessories only. Any damage incurred from the use of non-approved

accessories will void the warranty.

◈ Use approved chargers only and connect to a power source designated on the product.

◈ To reduce the risk of injury, remove the electrical cord from an outlet by pulling on the

charger, rather than the cord.

◈ Ensure that the electrical cord is positioned accordingly so that it will not be vulnerable to

damage.

◈ To reduce the risk of electrical shock, unplug the phone from the power source before

cleaning. Once unplugged, use a soft cloth dampened with water to clean.

◈ DANGER: Do Not modify the cord or the plug. If the plug does not fit into an outlet,

have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. Improper connection can result in

electrical shock.

◈ Do Not attempt to disassemble the product – doing so will void the warranty. This product

does not contain consumer-serviceable components. Service should be performed only by

authorized service centers.

◈ Do Not remove the antenna. A detached antenna can be a choking hazard for children.

◈ Do Not place the battery inside the mouth. The battery contains toxic electrolytes that are

harmful for your health.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PHONE

Backlit LCD Screen

: The LCD screen contains three areas;

- The top line displays indication about your phone’s

operating mode.

- Three lines in the middle are the display areas for

numbers and characters.

- The bottom line displays menus.

Menu Keys ( /)

: This key performs several useful functions.

- During incoming calls, press it to answer the incoming

call.

- In Standby mode, press it briefly to access Main Menu

and Select Menu.

- When navigating a menu, press it to select the highlighted

selection.

SMS Key ( )

: When in Standby Mode, press this key to access Message

Menu items.

Navigation Key (▲▼)

: This key allows you to navigate the phone’s variable

functionality and useful shortcut. During a call, press it to

control earpiece volume.

Microphone

: Your typical voice microphone for conversation and you can

also mute the microphone during conversation by pressing

“MENU” “2”.

Mini USB Charging Port

: The location where you connect your charging device.

CLR Key

: This key is used to erase numbers or characters you may have

entered incorrectly, or to return to a previous screen.

- To erase one character from the display screen, briefly

press it once.

- To erase all of them, hold it for one second.

- To back up one menu level, press it once.

- To return to Standby Mode, hold it for one second.

END Key

: Press this key to disconnect a call or to return to Standby

Mode from any menu. Press and hold this key to turn the

phone On or Off.

SEND Key

: This key performs several useful functions.

- Dial a number and press it to connect.

- Press it once to redial the last outgoing number.

Numeric Keys

: These keys are to dial and to input numbers and characters.

: This key performs several useful functions.

- Set or release Etiquette mode.

- Use as navigation key.

# ▶

: This key performs several useful functions.

- Use as instance keypad lock.

- Use as navigation key.

Internal Antenna

DISPLAY INDICATORS

Display indicators appear across the bottom of your phone’s LCD screen. These display

indicators (or icons) will vary based on your phone’s operating modes.

Signal strength : This icon shows your current signal strength. More lines

indicate more signal strength. Five lines indicate maximum strength, and one

line indicates least strength.

No service indicator : This icon indicates your phone cannot find a signal

because you’re outside a service area. When this is displayed, you cannot make

or receive calls. Wait a little while for a signal or move into an open area.

Roaming : This icon indicates you are “roaming” on to other carrier’s service

area. But you must register the roaming service.

In CDMA 1X network.

Vibrator on : This icon means that an incoming call will vibrate the phone rather

than ring it or before/after the phone ring.

It also means that your phone is on Etiquette mode. An incoming call will

vibrate the phone rather than ring it. This feature is good for quiet situations

where you don’t want your ringer to disturb anyone.

Message indicator : This icon indicates you have message(s) waiting.

Press SMS Menu button to see the message menu, or press and hold to be

connected to voicemail.

Alarm on : This icon means that you have set the alarm On.

Battery strength : This icon shows the level of your battery charge. The more

black bars you see the greater the charge. When the battery becomes very low,

an empty box appears and the phone flashes an alert.

This icon shows that you are in CDMA coverage area. (Cellular only)

BATTERY INFORMATION

The rechargeable Lithium-polymer battery included in your kit is partially charged so that you

can use the phone immediately once it has been activated.

Attaching the Battery

To attach the battery to your phone:

1. Lineup the metallic contacts on the base of the battery to the base of the phone.

2. Place the battery on the back of the phone, with the top of the battery about a quarter of

an inch from the latch.

3. Gently slide the battery towards the top of the phone until it snaps into place.

Charging the Battery

You can tell whether your battery needs to be recharged or not by checking the upper-right

corner of your phone’s display.

When the battery charge level becomes low, the battery sensor will alert you by blinking the

battery icon and making an audible warning tone. The phone will automatically power itself

off if the battery level becomes critically low, and any incoming or outgoing call will disconnect.

To avoid such disconnection, be mindful of the battery strength indicator and make sure your

battery is sufficiently charged.

Charging with a Travel Charger

Using an unauthorized accessory may be dangerous and will void the warranty if it causes

damage to the phone.

To charge the Battery using a Travel Charger:

- Plug the power cord of the charger into a wall outlet.

- Insert the charger’s connector to the bottom of the phone.

Note) Ensure a proper connection of the charger and the phone. Incomplete connection may

cause damage to the phone.

A completely discharged battery charges full in approximately tbd hours. Leaving your phone

powered on during charging will increase charge times. Leaving the battery connected to the

charger after it has been fully charged will not harm the battery.

Turning your phone on and off.

When you’re ready to turn on your phone, press and hold “END” until the display is turned on

and the phone makes the sound. When the phone has found a signal, the “ ” icon appears.

Once the phone is turned on, it enters Standby mode and you are able to make and receive calls.

To turn your phone off, press and hold “END” until the display is turned off and the phone

makes the sounds. Then the display will go blank. When the phone is turned off, nothing is

displayed on screen.

Note: If “END” is pressed for less than one second, the phone will not be turned off. This

function prevents your phone from being turned off accidentally.

Standby Mode.

Standby is the most basic state of your phone. The phone goes into standby mode soon after you

turn it on, or whenever you briefly press “END”. When your phone is in Standby Mode, you

will typically see the banner (that’s the message displayed when you turn on your phone). If you

enter a phone number, you press “SEND” to complete the call, or press “STO ( )” to save it in

the internal phone book.

Power Save Mode

Your phone comes with a Power Save feature that will automatically be activated if your phone

is unable to find a signal after 15 minutes of searching. While this feature is active, the phone’s

battery power is conserved.

The phone will automatically recheck for a signal periodically. To manually force the phone to

recheck for a signal, press any key. A message on the display will let you know when the phone

is operating in Power Save Mode.

Conversation Mode.

You can place and answer calls only when your phone is turned on. During a call, the phone is

in Conversation Mode.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

1. Making Calls

In standby mode, enter the phone number (up to 32 digits) by pressing the digit keys. The phone

number is displayed from left to right. Press “SEND”. The phone places the call to the entered

phone number (if service is available).

2. Ending Calls

To end a call, press “END”. The call time (length of the call) will be displayed along with the

name or number of the called party (if available). The phone returns to Standby Mode

automatically.

3. Answering Calls

To answer an incoming call, press any key if “Any Key Answer” is set. (Please refer to “2. Call

Answer” in “VI. Call Information”). If your phone is registered in Caller ID, a caller’s phone

number will be displayed on screen. If caller’s number is stored in Phone Book, the caller’s

name will be displayed.

4. Correcting Entry Errors

To correct a misdialed digit, press “CLR” to erase one digit at a time. You can erase all the digits

at once by pressing “CLR” and holding it down over one second.

5. Storing Phone Numbers

Phone numbers for frequently used services are pre-programmed into your phone. To store a

number,

- Enter a phone number and press “STO ( )”. Or in standby mode, press “Menu ( )” ,

“1. Phone Book” and “2. PB Add”.

- Enter the location number you want to store in.

- Press “▼” and enter the name.

- Press “▼” and enter the phone number.

- Press “▼” and scroll “▼” or “◀(*)” / “(#)▶” to choose Group type.

- Press “Sto ( )” to store.

6. Adjusting In-Call Mic Volume(통화중 Mic Volume 임)

To adjust the in-call mic volume:

- Press “MENU ( )”, “5. Mic Volume”.

- Press “▲” to increase and “▼” to decrease the mic volume.

Once a call has ended, the mic volume reverts back to factory set level.

7. Volume

During a call, you can adjust volume of the earpiece by using “▲” to increase and “▼” to

decrease. Briefly press the key once to display your current earpiece volume setting.

Repeatedly press the key to adjust.

8. Using Caller ID

This feature informs you of the caller’s identification by displaying their number when the

phone rings.

If the corresponding caller’s information is already available in your Phone Book, that caller’s

name will appear on screen. Conversely, calling someone who has this feature will disclose your

number on their phone. To access the call log, press “SEND”.

9. Redialing Last Dialed, Received, or Missed Number

Up to 30 dialed, received, or missed can be redialed directly. Simply press “SEND” to:

- Access the call log of 30 call entries in chronological order.

- Then, press the “VIEW ( )” key to see the time and number of the selected call.

- Simply press “SEND( )” to redial that number.

10. Speed Dialing

Once a phone number is stored in your Phone Book, you can access and dial that number using

assigned speed dial keys. Press the location number of a stored number and hold the last digit.

The phone will then automatically connect to that number.

11. Keypad Lock

You can lock the keypad to prevent the keys being accidentally pressed, for example, when your

phone is in your pocket. You can do it by pressing “(#)▶” for a second in standby mode.

12. Etiquette Mode

In social situations where audible rings, bells, or tones are inappropriate, such as in a movie

theater, at a museum, play, etc, your phone can be set on Etiquette mode. All incoming calls

under this mode will be notified by inaudible vibration. Press and hold “◀(*)” to set the

Etiquette mode and once more to cancel.

13. Silence Mode

If you want to silence an incoming ring, for example, when you are in a meeting, press “END”.

Then the incoming ring will be silenced. Then the caller will be noticed that you are not

available to answer.

Note 1) Although the incoming ring is silenced, the call is still coming. If you want to answer,

press any keys.

Note 2) When you press “END” to silence the incoming ring, the caller may be able to leave a

voice message or the call may be forwarded to others, which depends on your service provider.

Please contact your service provider for available options, such as Voice mail, Call forwarding,

etc.

14. Short Cut

i. Keypad Lock : Press and hold “(#)▶” for a second when it’s in Standby Mode, and the

keypad will be locked. To unlock the keypad, press “ ” and “(#)▶” orderly.

ii. Etiquette Mode : Press and hold “◀(*)” for a second. Then the phone will turn to

etiquette mode. To release etiquette mode, press and hold “◀(*)” again.

iii. Phone Book Entry : Press “▼” of navigation keys. Then all the phone numbers you

stored will be shown in alphabetical order.

iv. Alarm : Press “▲”. Then you can set an alarm.

MENUS

I. PHONE BOOK

1. Phone Book Search

You can go to Phone Book list by pressing “▼” to see all the phone number list you stored

alphabetically. Also you can fine a phone number according to Name, Location Number, Phone

Number or Group.

a. Search by name

You can find a number you stored in Phone Book by entering a name.

- Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book”, “1. PB Search” and select “1. Name”.

- Enter the name you want to call.

- If you don’t remember the full name, just enter the first letter of the name. Your phone

will show you all similar names.

- Press “SEND” to dial.

- Or press “View ( )” to edit or “Del ( )” to delete.

b. Search by location

You can find a number you stored in Phone Book by locations.

- Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book”, “1. Search” and select “2. Speed Key”.

- Enter the location number you want to find and press “OK”.

- Press “SEND” to dial. Or press “View ( )” to edit or “Del ( )” to delete.

- If a number is not stored in the location, “Empty Location” is shown on the display.

c. Search by Number

You can find a number’s information you stored in Phone Book by entering a phone number.

- Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book”, “1. Search” and select “3. Number”.

- Enter the number you want to see and press “OK”. Then you will see the name and

location.

- Press “SEND” to dial. Or press “View ( )” to edit or “Del ( )” to delete.

- If the number is not stored in the location, a warning tone is sounded and “No Number

Matches” is shown on the display.

d. Search by group

You can find a number you stored in Phone Book.

- Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book”, “1. Search” and select “4. Group”.

- Scroll “◀(*)” or “(#)▶” to select “No Group”, “Family”, “Friends”, “Business” or

“Company”.

- Once you select “No Group”, “Family”, “Friends”, “Business” or “Company”, you can

see the numbers you stored and defined only as “No Group”, “Family”, “Friends”,

“Business” or “Company”.

- Place the cursor on the number you want to dial by scrolling “▲” and “▼”.

Press “SEND” to dial. Or press “View ( )” to edit or “Del ( )” to delete.

2. Phone Number Addition

Phone numbers for frequently used services are pre-programmed into your phone. To store a

number,

- Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book” and “2. PB Add”. Or you can press “STO ( )”.

- Enter the location number you want to store in.

- Press “▼” and enter the name.

- Press “▼” and enter the phone number.

- Press “▼” and scroll “▼” or “◀(*)” / “(#)▶” to choose Group type.

- Press “STO( )” to store.

3. Call List

Call history, including number, time, and duration, can be referenced by:

- Pressing “MENU ( )”, “1. Phone Book”, and “3. Call List”.

A log of dialed, received, and missed calls will be displayed.

4. My Phone Number

To see your phone number, Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book” and “4: My Number.”. Then

your phone number will appear on screen.

5. Delete Phone Book

If you want to clear call lists, which you missed, called, received and stored, or all in Phone

Book.

- Press “Menu ( )” , “1. Phone Book” and choose “5. Delete All”.

- Scroll “▲▼” and choose call list you want to delete by press “OK ( )”.

- Press “OK ( )” to erase.

II. PHONE SETTING

1. Wallpaper

You can have the phone display various welcome greeting on stand-by mode. To edit the

greeting for the display on stand-by mode:

a. Set Wallpaper Type

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings”, “1. Wallpaper” and “1. Set Wallpaper”.

- Scroll “◀▶” to select a wallpaper and press “OK ( )” to save.

b. Greeting Edit

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings”, “1. Wallpaper”, “2. Greeting Edit”.

- Edit the banner and press “OK ( )”.

- Select “Off”, “Scroll”, “Center” as the banner location.

2. Languages

You can set the phone to 2 different languages. (Spanish and English).

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings” and “2. Language”.

- Select “Spanish” or “English”, and press “OK ( )” to save.

3. Selecting Font

You can select a font for the display among 4 fonts

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings” and “3. Font Select”.

- Scroll “◀▶” to select a font and press “OK ( )” to save.

4. Backlight

You can set backlighting of LCD display and the keypad automatically turned off in 10, 20 and

30 seconds or set always off. To set back light;

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings” and “4. Backlight” and choose “1. LCD Light” or “2.

Keypad Light”

- Select “10 seconds”, “20 seconds”, “30 seconds” or “Always Off” and press “OK ( )”

to save.

5. LCD Contrast

You can adjust LCD contrast.

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings” and “5. Contrast”.

- Scroll “▲” and “▼” to adjust LCD contrast and press “OK ( )” to set.

6. Screen Saver

You can set Screen Saver of Standby mode.

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings” and “6. Screen Saver”

- Scroll “◀▶” to select a Screen Saver type.

- Press “▼” and Select “After 10 seconds”, “After 30 seconds” or “After 1 minute” and

press “OK( )” to store.

7. Auto Keypad Lock

If you set “Auto Keypad Lock” as “Auto”, the keypad will automatically locked after 30

seconds when you don’t use.

- Press “Menu ( )”, “2. Settings” and “7. Auto Keypad Lock”.

- Select “Auto” or “off” and press “OK ( )” to set.

- If you want to release the keypad lock, press “MENU( )” and “(#)▶” on a standby

mode.

III. VOLUME / ALERT

1. Ring Type

You can set the alert for incoming calls in 5 different ways. (Bell, Vibration, BellVibration,

VibrationBell, Vibration+Bell ).

- Press “Menu ( )”, “3 Vol/Alert” and “1. Ring Type

- Select “Bell”, “Vibrator” “BellVib”, “VibBell” or “Vib+Bell” by scrolling “▲▼”

- Press “OK ( )” to set.

2. Selecting Bell

This option enables you to set the sound of ringing among 10 bells,10 melodies and 31 midi

sounds.

- Press “Menu ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert” and “2. Bell Select” and choose “1. Bell”, “2.

Melody” or “3. MIDI”.

- Scroll “▲▼” or “◀▶” to select. While you scroll, you can hear bells and melodies.

- Press “OK ( )” to set.

Note) If you set etiquette mode of the phone, you are asked to release it before you select bell.

3. Roam Ringer

This option allows you to hear a distinctive ringing when you receive a call in other carriers’

service area, which you registered for a roaming service.

- Press “Menu ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert” and “3. Roam Ringer”.

- Choose “on” or “off” and press “OK ( )” to set.

4. Volume Control

a. Bell Volume

This option allows you to set the bell volume level.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Volume”, and “1. Bell Volume”.

- Scroll “▲/▼” to increase or decrease the volume level.

- Press “OK ( )” to set.

b. Key Volume

This option allows you to set the key volume level.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Volume”, and “2. Key Volume”.

- Scroll “▲/▼” to increase or decrease the volume level.

- Press “OK ( )” to set.

c. Call Volume

This option allows you to set the earpiece volume level.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Volume”, and “3. Call Volume”.

- Scroll “▲/▼” to increase or decrease the volume level.

- Press “OK ( )” to set.

5. Alert Setting

a. Connection Beep

This option allows you to be audibly notified when a call is connected.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Alert Setting”, and “1. Connection”.

- Select between On and Off and press “OK ( )” to set.

b. Call Drop

This option allows you to be audibly notified when a call is disconnected or the other party

hangs up the phone.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Alert Setting”, and “2. Drop”.

- Select between On and Off and press “OK ( )” to set.

c. 1 Minute Alert

This option allows you to be audibly warned when a call reaches the 1 minute mark.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Alert Setting”, and “3. Minute”.

- Select between On and Off and press “OK ( )” to set.

d. Service

This option allows you to be audibly warned when you move into other base stations during a

call.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, “4. Alert Setting”, and “4. Service”.

- Select between On or Off and press “OK ( )” to set.

e. Phone On/Off

This option allows you to enable or to disable melody when powering On/Off.

6. Beep Length

DTMF tone length can be set at normal or long.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “3. Vol/Alert”, and “6. Beep Length”.

Set the beep length “Normal” or “Long” and press “OK ( )” to set.

IV. PERSONAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Your phone supports various additional functions, including Alarm, Schedule, Calendar,

Calculator, Memo and World Time.

1. Alarm

The 24-hour alarm can be set to go off at a set time while your phone is on. If the phone is

powered off at the set time, the alarm will not sound. To set the alarm, press “MENU ( )”, “4.

PIM”, and “1. Alarm”.

- Choose “Alarm 1” or “Alarm 2” and press “OK ( )”.

- Choose from Off, Everyday, Mon~Sat, Mon~Fri, and Once Alarm by scrolling “◀▶”.

- Press “▼” and choose a Bell type by scrolling “◀▶”.

- Press “▼” and enter the time, and then select AM or PM by pressing “( )”

- Press “STO ( )” to set.

Note 1) You can set up to 2 different alarms.

Note 2)

- Off: Once you’ve chosen Off, the alarm will not sound even if you’ve set a time for it.

- Everyday: Once you’ve chosen Daily, the alarm will sound at the set time everyday.

- Mon~Sat: Once you’ve chosen Mon~Sat, the alarm will sound at the set time from

Monday to Saturday.

- Mon~Fri: Once you’ve chosen Mon~Fri, the alarm will sound at the set time from

Monday to Friday.

- Once Alarm: Once you’ve chosen Once Alarm, the alarm will only sound at the set

time once.

2. Schedule

The Schedule Manager option helps to manage your schedule using the phone. To set or edit a

schedule, press “MENU (‥)”, “4. PIM”, and “2. Schedule”.

a. Add Schedule :

- Select “1. Add”. Calendar of the current month will then appear on the display.

- Use “▲▼” and “◀▶” to scroll through the days and select the date by pressing

“OK( )”

- Enter the time (hour, minute and AM/PM) and press “OK( )”

- Enter a memo under “Input Schedule”. Once you finish entering a memo, press “OK

()”.

- Scroll “◀▶” to choose the bell type.

- Press “STO ( )” to save.

b. Schedule List : You can see the schedule list you stored.

- Select “2. List”. Then you can see the schedule list orderly.

- To edit a schedule, choose a list by scrolling “▲/▼” and pressing “OK ( )”. You can

then edit a schedule in the same manner as above.

- Or delete a schedule by simply pressing “DEL ( )”. Press “OK ( )” to erase once

the display prompts “Delete?”

c. Schedule Delete : You can delete all schedules.

- Select “3. Delete”.

- The phone will then prompt “Delete All?”

- Press “OK ( )” to erase.

3. Calendar View

Your phone can show you a calendar by pressing “MENU ( )”, “4. PIM”, and “3. Calendar”.

4. Calculator

Your phone can double as a calculator. Press “MENU ( )”, “4. PIM”, and “4. Calculator”.

5. Memo

The Memo option helps you to manage your daily tasks. To create or edit a Memo, press

“MENU ( )”, “4. PIM”, and “5. Memo”.

a. Add Memo :

- Select “1. Add”.

- Enter or edit your task and press “OK ( )”.

b. Memo List :

- Select “2. List”. The phone will then display a list of all stored memos.

- Select by scrolling “▲” and “▼” and press “OK ( )”.

- The memo and stored time will then be displayed.

- To edit, press “EDIT ( )”.

c. Delete :

- Select “3. Delete”. The phone will then prompt “Delete All?”.

- Press “OK ( )” to delete all memos.

- Or if you would like to delete individual memos, choose a memo list and press

“DEL( )”.

6. World Time View

Your phone is capable of displaying current times of the world. To access the world time view;

- Press “MENU ( )”, “4. PIM”, and “6. World Time”.

- Use “▲▼” or “◀▶” keys to find cities.

V. SECURITY FUNCTION

Your phone provides many security options, including a user-programmable lock code and call

restriction features. To access the Security Menu in Standby Mode, press “Menu ( )” and “5.

Security”.

Note: The password is “0000” if you don’t have your phone number yet or the last 4 digits of

your number if you already have your phone number. If you want to change the password, see

“Changing Password” on page --.

1. Phone Lock

Locked phone limits all outgoing calls except calls to the three hard-coded emergency numbers.

You can lock the phone manually or set the phone to lock automatically when it is turned on.

When the phone is in Lock Mode, you can answer incoming calls, but you must unlock the

phone to place the outgoing calls (except designated emergency numbers).

- Press “Menu ( )” and “5. Security”

- Press “1. Phone Lock” and enter the password.

- Select “Never”, “Power up” or “Now” and press “OK ( )” to set.

Notes 1) “Never” – The phone is unlocked.

“On Power Up” – The phone is locked automatically when it is turned on.

“Now” – The phone is locked from now.

Note 2) You can simply lock your keypad by pressing and holding “#” on Standby Mode.

2. Changing Password

If you want to change the password:

- Press “Menu ( )” and “5. Security”.

- Press “2. New Password” and enter the password.

- Enter the new 4-digit password.

- Press “OK ( )”, then you can see “RE-ENTER NEW CODE _ _ _ _”.

- Enter the new password again and press “OK ( )” to set.

3. Restricting

“Restricting” restricts outgoing calls, access to stored phone book and message service without

entering correct password. To set restriction, press “MENU ( )”, “5. Security”, and “3.

Restrict”.

a. Call Restriction:

- Press “1. Call Restrict” and enter the password.

- Select “Yes” or “No” and press “OK ( )” to set.

b. Phone Book :

- Press “2. Phone Book” and enter the password.

- Select “Yes” or “No” and press “OK ( )” to set.

c. Message :

- Press “3. Message”, and enter the password.

- Select “Yes” or “No” and press “OK ( )” to set.

4. Voice Privacy

You can set “Voice Privacy” on or off.

- Press “Menu ( )”, “5. Security” and “4. Voice Privacy”, and enter the password.

- Choose “Standard” or “Enhanced” and press “OK ( )” to set.

5. Initialization

“Initialization” lets you initialize your phone.

- Press “Menu ( )”, “5. Security” and “5. Initialize”.

- Select “1. Part Initial” or “2. Full Initial” and enter the password.

- Select “Yes” or “No” and press “OK ( )” to set.

- Then your phone display “Initializing ”.

- And your phone will be turned off and turned on automatically.

Note) Part Initial – The phone is initialized except PIM, Phone Book and Messages.

Full Initial – The Phone is initialized including PIM, Phone Book and Messages.

VI. Call Information

1. Auto Answer

With this option on, phone answers a call automatically.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “6. Call Info” and “1. Auto Answer”.

- Choose “Off”, “Always” or “Earphone” and press “OK ( )” to save.

2. Call Answer

Calls can be answered either by pressing a SEND( )key or by pressing any key.

- Press “MENU ( )”, “6. Call Info” and “2. Call Answer”.

- Choose “Any Key” or “Send Key” and press “OK ( )” to save.

3. Auto Redial

- Press “MENU ( )”, “6. Call Info” and “3. Auto Redial”.

- Choose “On” or “Off” and press “OK ( )” to save.

4. Call Time

The Call Time option shows approximate duration of the last call, the total call time in hours

and minutes and the total number of calls made under the current phone number.

a. Last Call : Press “MENU ( ), “6. Call Info”, “4. Call Time”, and “1. Last Call”. Your

phone will then indicate an approximate duration of the last call made in minutes and

seconds.

b. Home Call : Press “MENU ( ), “6. Call Info”, “4. Call Time”, and “2. Home Call”.

Your phone will then indicate an approximate total time in hours and minutes that the

phone has been used in your provider’s service area.

c. Roam Call : Press “MENU ( ), “6. Call Info”, “4. Call Time”, and “3. Roam Call”.

Your phone will then indicate an approximate total time in hours and minutes that the

phone has been used in roaming areas.

d. All : Press “MENU ( ), “6. Call Info”, “4. Call Time”, and “4. All”. Your phone will

then indicate an approximate total time in hours and minutes that the phone has been

used in home and roaming areas.

VII. GAMES

You can enjoy such entertaining games as Blackjack and Othello with your phone.

1. Black Jack

Press “MENU ( )”, “7. Games” and “1. Black Jack”. To view game help message, press

“HELP( ).

2. Othello

Press “MENU ( )”, “7. Games” and “2. Othello”. To view play keys of Othello, press “MENU

()”, “7. Games” and “4. Key Help”. Key functions will show and press any keys to return to

the previous menu.

3.Game Sound

To set the phone in silent mode while playing games, press “MENU ( )”, “7. Games” and “3.

Game Sound”. Set game sound “Off” and press “OK ( )”.

MESSAGE SERVICES

Your phone can send and receive two types of message services – text (SMS: Short Messaging

Service) and voice - if the services are available from your carrier. If you subscribe to either or

both services, callers can leave you text messages or voice mail. Your service provider then

transmits the text messages and voice mail notifications to your phone

I. Text Message Services (SMS : Short Messaging Service)

The text message service is depended to the system used by your service provider.

Your service provider transmits the messages to your phone. If your phone is turned on, it can

receive the messages as described below. If your phone is not turned on, your service provider

retains the messages and transmits them again later.

When a new text message is received, your phone makes an alert tone or vibrates and is

displayed on screen. If you read the new message, will disappear.

Note) Your phone can store up to TBD text messages or TBD KB.

1. Viewing Text Messages

If your phone is turned on while the text message is coming through, it will notify you by either

making the alert sound or by vibrating and will be displayed on screen. You can select

read the message immediately by pressing “SMS( )” key.

To read a new message:

- Press “SMS ( )”, “1. View” and “1. Inbox”.

- Select messages and press “OK ( )” to see. Then the received time, the sender, the

sender’s phone number, and the new text message will appear on screen.

- You can read the text message by scrolling “▲▼” keys.

- If you want to reread the message, Press “SMS ( )”, “1. View ” and “1. Inbox”. Then

you can see the message list on screen. Select the message you wish to read again and

press “OK ( )”. Or press “DEL ( )” to delete.

While reading a message, press “OPT ( )” to reply or forward this message or to store a phone

number or message contents. Or press “DEL ( )” to delete.

a. Choose “1. Reply” to reply the message. Edit the message and press “YES ( )”. Then you

can send a message.

b. Choose “2. Forward”. Edit the message and press “YES ( )”. And enter the number you

want to forward this message.

c. Choose “3. Number Store”. Then you can store a phone number received with the message

as the same manner as “3. Phone Number Addition” in “I. Phone Book” on page ____.

d. If you wish to call the sender back, press “SEND ” while you are reading the message. Then

“Call back #” appears on screen.

2. Sending Text Messages

You can send the text messages through your phone. To edit and send the text message, press

“SMS ( )” and “2. Send”.

- Choose “1. New MSG”, “2. Sent MSG”, “3.Canned MSG” or “4. Message Box”. You

can then write a new message, or edit sent messages or predefined messages or

message in Message Box . Press “OK (‥)” to complete.

- Enter a phone number you want to send to. Press “OK( ).

- Scroll “▲/▼” and press “◀▶” to set message priority, message save, or delivery

ACK.

- Press “OK ( )” to send the message.

II. Voice Mail Service

Your phone can receive voice mail notification when it is turned on. If your service provider

transmits the notification and your phone is turned off, you will receive the notification when

you turn your phone on.

If your phone is turned on when it receives a voice mail notice, your phone makes an alert

sound or vibrates and is shown on screen. Once you listen to the new voice message,

will disappeared.

Note) Sometimes wouldn’t disappear even if you checked the message. It depends on the

condition of the service providers’ system.

If your phone is turned on when it receives a voice message, your phone will make the alert

sound or vibrates and will be displayed on screen. To listen to a voice message:

- Press “SMS ( )”, “1. View” and “3. Voice Message”.

- Choose a message you want to listen and press “SEND ( )”.

- Then you can connect to the message center.

- If you want to delete the message, press “DEL ( )

- If you want to call the sender back, simply press “SEND” while you are listening to the

voice mail.

Note) Voice mail feature may work differently depending on your service region. In certain

regions, you can listen to the voice mail by pressing “SEND ( ) “while in the voice mail

message view.

III. SMS Setting

1. Message Alert

You can select message alerts from 5 different settings (Lamp Only, Bells, and Vibrate).

- Press “SMS( )”, “3. Setting”, “1. Alert” and “1. Alert type”

- Select from “Bell 1/2/3”, “Vibrator” and “None”

- Press “OK ( )” to set.

You can also set the interval of alert.

- Press “SMS( )”, “3. Setting”, and “1. Alert” and “2. Interval”

- Select “Once” or “2 min”

- Press “OK ( )” to set

2. Save Message

To save the read message in the phone:

- Press “SMS( )”, “3. Setting”, and “2. Save MSG”.

- Choose “Always” and press “OK ( )” to save.

3. Direct View

To view received messages as soon as they are transmitted:

- Press “SMS( )”, “3. Setting”, and “3. Direct View”.

Choose “On” and press “OK ( )” to save.

4. Delivery ACK

To set Delivery ACK, press “SMS”, “3. Setting”, and “4. Delivery ACK”. Then, choose

between “On” and “Off” and press “OK( )” to set.

5. Priority

You can assign different priority levels for your messages. To do so:

- Press “SMS( )”, “3. Setting”, and “5. Priority”.

- Choose from Normal or Urgent and press “OK ( )” to save.

6. Delete All

You can delete all messages of Inbox or Outbox:

- Press “SMS”, “3. Setting”, and “6. Delete All”.

- Choose “Inbox” or “Outbox” and “On” and press “OK ( )” to delete.

Using Menu During a Call

1. Phone Book Search

During a call, press “Menu ( )” and “1. Phone Book Search”

2. Mute

During a call, press “Menu ( )” and “2. TX Voice Mute”, and then you voice will be mute. To

deactivate it, select “2. TX Voice Mute” again or simply press “Quit( )”

3. DTMF Mute

During a call, press “Menu ( )” and “3. DTMF Mute”, and then DTMF tone will be mute. To

activate it again, select “3. DTMF Mute” again or simply press “Quit( )”.

4. Volume

To adjust earpiece volume during a call, press “▼▲” to increase or decrease earpiece volume.

5. MIC Volume

- Press MENU ( ) and “5.MIC Volume”.

- Press “▲” to increase and “▼” to decrease the mic volume.

Once a call has ended, the mic volume reverts back to factory set level.

6. Voice Privacy

Refer to “4. Voice Privacy” in “V. Security Setting” on Page__.

7. Beep Length

During a call, press “Menu ( )” and “7. Beep Length” to adjust length of DTMF tone.

ENTERING LETTERS & NUMBERS

You can enter letters, as well as numbers, when storing numbers and names into your phone or

when sending out text messages (SMS : Short Messaging Service) by using your keypad. To

enter letters, press the key associated with the letter you wish to enter until it appears on the

screen (numbers also appear).

When you enter the letters, it automatically switches to ABC mode. The letters will be displayed

in capital letters. Press “( )” to change entering mode.

1. When “ABC” appears on the right corner of the bottom, you can enter a capital letter.

2. When “abc” appears on the right corner of the bottom, you can enter a small letter.

3. When “123” appears on the right corner of the bottom, you can enter a number(0~9).

4. When “$%” appears on the right corner of the bottom, you can enter a punctuation symbol

and special characters. Scroll “◀/▶” to choose a character and press “OK ( )” to insert.
