Battery Caution Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Keep the battery away from fire. Do not dispose in fire. Do not expose the battery pack to direct sunlight. Contact local environmental agencies for information on recycling and disposal plans in your area. Discard used batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not directly connect (short circuit) the positive (+) and the negative (-) terminals. Never attempt to disassemble the battery pack. Do not use a battery charger or AC adapter other than the designated one provided with your notebook to charge the battery pack. Follow these guidelines in order to prevent damage to the notebook, and/or harm to the user. Mishandling the battery may cause it to explode. MODEM Caution The equipment has been approved in accordance with Council Decision 98/482/EC for pan-European single terminal connection to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). However, due to differences between the individual PSTNs provided in different countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an unconditional assurance of successful operation on every PSTN network termination point. In the event of problem, you should contact your equipment supplier in the first instance. FCC FEQUIREMENTS This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC Rules. On the bottom of this equipment is label that contains, among other information, the FCC registration Number and Ringer equipment Number (REN) for the equipment. If requested, this information must be given to the Telephone Company. The REN is useful to determine the quantity of devices you may connect to your telephone line and still have all of those devices ring when your telephone number is called. In most, but not all areas, the sum of the REN’s of all devices connected to one line should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices you’re local telephone company to determine the maximum REN for you’re calling area. If your telephone equipment cause harm to the telephone network, the Telephone Company may discontinue your service temporarily. If possible, they will notify you in advance. But is advance notice isn’t practical, you will be informed of your right to file a complaint with the FCC. Your telephone company may changes in its facilities, equipment, operations or procedures that could affect the proper functioning of your equipment. If they do, you will be notified in advance to given you and opportunity to maintain uninterrupted telephone service.
