1 40-Channel Operation
The 62405 cordless telephone automatically searches and selects the clearest ot'40 channels
when it 15 being used.
2 Security Code
The security code prevents your cordless telephone conversation from being accessed by a
phone on Cl different line. Once the handset battery is fully charged. the handset will
automatically select the code from a total of over 65.000 combinations. The code is changed
very time the handset is placed in the cradle.
3 Placing a Call
1. Press TALK button.
2. TALK LED on handset will light.
The PHONE LED on Base will blink at the some times
3, When you hear a dial tone, place your call.
4 Receiving a Call
During ringing, both the TALK LED on handset and PHONE LED on
Base will blink. The ringer sound from handset will be
heard too.
1. IF THE HANDSET [S OUT OF THE BASE UNIT, press TALK or any button on the
keypad.
2. IF THE HANDSET IS IN THE BASE UNIT, lift the handset.
Do not press TALK. You will automatically be connected.
5 Ending a Call
1, Place the handset in the base or press TALK to be disconnected from the line.
2. Both TALK LED on handset and PHONE LED on Base will turn off.
6 Flash
If you have “call waiting" service and a call waiting tone sound is heard while you are on call.
press FLASH to accept the waiting call. There is a short pause, then you will hear the new
caller. To return to the original caller, press FLASH again.
7 Temporary Tone (*)
PULSE (rotary) service users may access touch-tone features needed to operate answering
machines or use electronic banking, calling cards, etc, by pressing the TONE(*) button. Phone
will automatically return to pulse dialing after the call ends.
8 Redial
Last number dialed (up to 32 digits) is stored in redial memory until another number is dialed.
1. Press TALK on handset.
2. When you hear a dial tone, press RDL/P.

9 Pause
A 2-second PAUSE may be Lnsened into the speed dialing oftelepltonc numbers Press RDL.’P
button at required pornl during storage ofa number in memory.
10 Page/ Handset Locator
Send a signal from the base to handset. Press PAGE button on base and a series of rings will
sound from handset. The sound Will be stopped automatically after about lS seconds or the
PAGE button on Base is pressed again.
11 Memory Feature
Store up to 20 numbers in memory for quick dialing.
To Program Frequently Called Numbers
1. Pick up handset) with TALK off
2. Press MEMO (MEMORY) button.
The TALK LED will blink as indication.
3. Enter phone number (up to lo digits).
Ifa pause is needed during dialing to access along distance service, press RDLJ’P key
4. Press MEMO button again.
5, Enter TWO number key (0l-20) for the memory location where the number is to be stored.
6. A TWO quickbeeps will confirm the number has been successfully stored.
Note: lfa 17th digit is accidentally pressed or a pause of more than 30 seconds occurs during
programing, an error tone(long beep) will sound. Try again.

Dialing a Number Stored in Memory
1. Lift handset. Press TALK.
2. Press MEMO,
3. Enter memory location (01-20) assigned to number being called.
Change a Stored Number
Replace a stored number by programming a new number in its place.
Erasing a Number Stored in Memory
1. Pick up aandset, With TALK off.
2. Press MEMO (MEMORY) button twice.
3. Enter memory location (01-20) to be erased.
12 Selecting the Ringer Melody
During standby, pressing the FLASH key with 1—4 key on handset will select
the ringer melody type 1-4.
13 Adjusting the Ringer Volume
During standby, pressing the VOL-UP or VOL~DOWN key on handset will change

14 Adjusting the Earpiece Volume
During a call‘ the earpiece valume can be increase by pressing VOLAUP key
or decrease by pressing VOL-DOWN key. There are four level: Low Medium.
Normal & High.
15 Battery Low and out of range indication
