Features Description
Category
Name Displays the category name
Category List
Displays the contents of the selected category
If there are several items in the list, items are
added in order and the scroll bar on the right
is adjusted accordingly.
Back Button Converts to basic mode screen
Upper Folder Moves to higher folder
Search Menu
Search tracks by list type. Search for songs
according to Playlist, Artist, Song, Album and
Genre.
If you access the search menu while playing
a track, it moves to the previous search
mode.
SEEK/TRACK
If you press the button quickly (less than 0.8 sec-
onds), it goes to the previous/next file or plays
the current song from the beginning
•If play time is less than 3 seconds, moves to
previous/next file
•If play time is more than 3 seconds, plays the
current file from the beginning
If you press and hold the button (more than 0.8
seconds) it will rewind/fast-forward the track.
TUNE
Turn the TUNE knob to search for a track.
When the desired track is displayed, press the
TUNE knob to play the track.
If you do not touch with the knob for 5 seconds,
the TUNE knob search will end.

AUX
Connect External Devices
Connect an external device cable to the
AUX input to automatically switch to AUX
mode. Unplug the cable to automatically
switch back to the previous mode.
AUX audio mode is available only when an
external device (laptop, MP3 player etc.) is
connected.
The AUX input volume can be adjusted
separately from other AV modes.

NOTICE
• If only a cable is connected to the AUX
without an external device, the mode will be
changed to AUX, but noise may occur. When
an external device is not being used, remove
the connector jack.
• When the external device power is connected
to the power jack, playing the external device
may output noise. In such cases, disconnect
the power connection before use.

What is
Bluetooth
®
Wireless Technology?
•Bluetooth
® Wireless Technology refers
to a short-distance wireless network-
ing technology that uses a 2.45GHz
frequency to connect various devices
within a certain distance.
•Supported within PCs, external devices,
Bluetooth® phones, PDAs, various elec-
tronic devices and automotive environ-
ments,
Bluetooth
® Wireless Technology
is transmitted at high speeds without
having to use a connector cable.
•Bluetooth® Hands-free refers to a
device that allows the user to conveni-
ently make phone calls with Bluetooth®
mobile phones via the Multimedia
System.
•The Bluetooth® Hands-free feature
may not be supported on some mobile
phones.
Precautions for Safe Driving
•Bluetooth® Hands-free is a feature that
enables drivers to practise safe driv-
ing. Connecting the head unit with a
Bluetooth® phone allows the user to
conveniently make calls, receive calls
and manage the phone book. Before
using
Bluetooth
® Wireless Technology,
carefully read the contents of this user
manual.
•Excessive use or operation while driving
may lead to negligent driving practices
and may cause accidents. Do not oper-
ate the device excessively while driving.
•Viewing the screen for prolonged peri-
ods of time is dangerous and may lead
to accidents. When driving, view the
screen only for short periods of time.

CAUTIONS for Connecting
a Bluetooth® Phone
•Before connecting the head unit to the
mobile phone, check that the mobile
phone supports Bluetooth® features
•Even if the phone supports
Bluetooth
®
Wireless Technology, the phone will not
be connected if Bluetooth® is turned off.
Turn on Bluetooth® prior to connecting
to the head unit.
•The Bluetooth® phone will be connected
automatically when the ignition is turned
on, making it unnecessary to have to
connect the phone with the head unit
every time.
•If you do not want automatic connection
with your Bluetooth® device, turn the
Bluetooth® feature off on the Bluetooth®
device.
•Park the vehicle when connecting the
head unit to the mobile phone.
•Bluetooth® connection may be intermit-
tently disconnected on some mobile
phones. Follow these steps to try again.
1. Turn the Bluetooth® function within
the mobile phone OFF/ON and try
again.
2. Turn the mobile phone power OFF/
ON and try again.
3. Completely remove the mobile
phone battery, reboot and try again.
4. Reboot the Multimedia System and
try again.
5. Delete all paired devices from both
phone and Head Unit and try again
•The Hands-free call volume and qual-
ity may differ depending on the mobile
phone.
•Pairing Bluetooth® devices and use of
other Bluetooth® features are not sup-
ported when the vehicle is in motion. For
safety, please first stop your vehicle.
•When downloading contacts, anything
not described within this user manual
may be related to the mobile device.
In this case, please enquire with the
mobile phone manufacturer.

Bluetooth Connection
Pairing a New Device
Before you can use the Bluetooth feature,
you must first pair/connect your mobile
phone to your car.
Up to 5 Bluetooth devices can be paired.
Only one Bluetooth device can be con-
nected at a time.
Pairing a New Device by Selecting
Phone/Call

after your mobile phone detects the

Using the
Menu During a Phone Call
When making a call, you can use the fol-
lowing menu items.
Name Description
Use private
Switches a voice call
from the car hands-free
to the mobile phone.
End Ends a call.
Contacts Displays the Contacts
list.
Outgoing
volume
Displays the Mic Volume
settings. You can adjust
the in-call volume that
the other party hears
(level 1 - 5).
Keypad Moves to the screen for
entering ARS numbers.
Switch
Switches to a call on
hold, if any. You can also
switch calls by select-
ing the number in the
Information Display. The
Switch function switches
the current call to a
waiting call in order to
answer a new incoming
call.

Information
• If the caller's number is listed in Contacts, the
caller's name will be displayed. Otherwise,
only the number will be displayed. On some
mobile phones, the phone number may not
be displayed.
• On some Bluetooth devices, the Use Private
feature may not be supported.
• On some Bluetooth devices, the Switch
feature may not be supported.
• During a phone call on a Bluetooth Hands-
free, you cannot access other modes, such as
Radio and Setup.
• Depending on handset type, the in-call
volume that the other party hears may differ.
If the other party reports that your voice is too
quiet or too loud, adjust the mic volume.

Call history
Displays your call his-
tory. Select from the list

Download
Downloads the call his-
tory information from
your mobile phone.

Information
• On some mobile phones, call records might
not be added to your Call History.
• Calls from restricted IDs are not added to your
Call History Information.
• Up to 50 calls can be added to each Dialled
Calls/Received Calls/Missed Calls list.
• The duration of each dialled/received call is
not displayed on your car's Call History list.
• When the call history download is in progress,
the status bar displays an icon ( ).
• If the call history download is turned off via
the Bluetooth device, the download will fail.
• Some devices require device authentication
for downloading call history. If download fails,
check if the Bluetooth settings or display
status are normal.
• Some devices do not support downloads.
Check whether your Bluetooth device
supports downloads.

Information
• Up to 5000 phone numbers can be downloaded
from a single, paired Bluetooth device.
• You cannot edit and delete downloaded
phone numbers from your car.
• Contacts can be viewed only when the
Bluetooth device is connected.
• Even if the Bluetooth device is disconnected,
the downloaded data will remain.
Note that deleting a paired phone will also
delete all downloaded Contacts and Call
History data.
• Downloaded phone numbers may be lost
depending on the condition of the head unit.
Keep your important data in a safe place.
• Depending on differing mobile phone models
and conditions, the time for transferring and
downloading contacts may vary.
• If you download contacts from your phone,
the existing data will be deleted.
• By default, contacts from both the SIM card
and your mobile phone are downloaded at the
same time.
• While downloading contacts, the status bar
displays a .
• If the contacts download function is turned off
on the Bluetooth device, the download will not
be available.
• Some devices require device authentication
for downloading contacts. If download fails,
check if the Bluetooth settings or display
status are normal.
• Some devices do not support downloads.
Check whether your Bluetooth device
supports downloads.

Navigation screen
This device supports the following basic features in map view screen.
Touch any point on the map screen to move the map to that point.
Name Description
Move to the Home Widget screen.
Changes orientation.
Change guidance volume.
Zoom-in.
Sets auto scale.
Zoom-out.
Shortcut menu from the map view.
Shows compass.
Set as destination
Sets the position as destination.
Add waypoint
Adds the position as waypoint.
Add to address book
Adds the position to the address book.

Change map view
You can change map view settings to fixed
orientation, rotated map, or 3D bird’s-eye
view.
Press the button to fix the map orien-
tation to “North-up” mode.
Press the button to set the map orien-
tation to “Heading-up” mode.
Press the button to set the 3D bird’s-
eye view.
Navigation Sound
Press the navigation sound button to
change the volume and mute settings.

road, ferry, toll road, time restricted and
tunnel option and press the

You can set the detour option from this
screen. Press the

the detour points using the map view.
Avoid street
Set the street to avoid and new route will
be calculated excluding that street.

Stop Guidance
Select the button on the lower-left
screen ▶Select the
Stop Guidance
button.
Press this button to stop guidance. When
the system is not in guidance mode, the
button will change to
Resume guidance
and
you can start new guidance by pressing it.
Add points to address book
Select the button on the lower-left screen
▶ Select the
Add to address book
button.
You can register a specific point to the
address book for later use.
Enter the information of the point using the
keypad and press the
OK
button.
The point will be registered to the address
book as shown above.

Select the button on the lower-left
screen ▶ Select the
POI
button.
You can see the list of points in the screen.
Show
From the various categories, select the
ones to display on the map as particular
icons (example: petrol station).
When you select a category, it will be
shown at the top and displayed as an icon
in the map view.
Search nearby
You can get the list of POI when you
choose one of the options from “Near cur-
rent location” and “Near city centre”.
Map view
Select the button on the lower-left
screen ▶ Select the
Map view
button.
You can change the map view settings
from this screen.

2D north up
Press the button to set the map orien-
tation to “2D north up” mode. The upper
side of the map will point to the north no
matter what direction you travel.
2D heading up
Press the button to set the
“2D heading
up” mode. The map will rotate automati-
cally when your driving direction changes.
3D
Press the button to set the “3D”.
Objects in the map will be displayed in 3D.

Press the

You can set the destination using the address.
Enter country name, city name, and street
name to search.

button to start the

Distance, name, or category. Select one
from the list.
