KEYSWITCH
Thekeyswitch(7)ismountedontheinstrumentpaneltotherightofthesteeringcolumn(Figure7).Ithasfour
positions:PREHEAT,OFF ,ON,andSTART.
UsethePREHEATfeatureifthetemperaturefallsbelow–5°C(23°F).DonotholdthekeyinthePREHEATposition
longerthan20seconds.T opreheattheglowplugsincoldweather,turnthekeytothePREHEATposition,andholdit
therefor10-15seconds.ThenturnthekeytotheSTARTposition,andholditthereuntiltheenginestarts.Iftheengine
doesnotstartafter10-15seconds,turnthekeytotheOFFpositionandrepeattheprocedure.Oncetheenginestarts,
releasethekeyanditwillreturntotheONposition.Theenginewillidleinneutral.Theenginewillcontinuetoidleuntil
thekeyisturnedtotheOFFposition.SeepreviousWARNING,CAUTION,andNOTE.
FORWARD/REVERSECONTROL
TheForward/Reversehandle(6)islocatedontherightsideoftheinstrumentpanel(Figure7).Thehandlehasthree
distinctpositions:FORWARD(A),NEUTRAL(B),andREVERSE(C).Pushthehandleuptooperatethevehicleinthe
forwarddirection,orpullthehandledowntooperatethevehicleinreverse.Theenginecanbestartedonlywhenthe
handleisintheNEUTRAL(middle)position.TheenginemustbeatidlebeforeshiftingtheForward/Reversehandle.
SeeprecedingWARNINGandCAUTION.
Husqvarnavehiclesoperateatareducedspeedinreverse.Thereversebuzzerwillsoundasawarningwhenthe
Forward/ReversehandleisintheREVERSEposition.
ACCELERATORPEDAL
Theacceleratorpedal(1)isthepedalfarthesttotheright(Figure7).
WiththeenginerunningandtheForward/ReversehandleintheFORWARDorREVERSEposition,vehiclespeed
willincreaseastheacceleratorpedalispressed.Whentheacceleratorpedalisreleased,itwillreturntotheoriginal
positionandtheenginewillidle.SeeprecedingWARNINGandCAUTION.
BRAKEPEDAL
Thebrakepedal(2)islocatedtotheimmediateleftoftheacceleratorpedal(Figure7).T osloworstopthevehicle,
pressthebrakepedal.

vehicleshouldneverbedrivenwhenthelowoilwarninglightremainslit.Ifthewarninglightalternatelylightsand
darkens,thevehiclemaybedriven,butoilshouldbeaddedattherstopportunity.Iftheoilleveliscorrectandthe

HEADLIGHT/TAILLIGHTCONTROL

Theturnsignalcontrol(1)ismountedonthesteeringcolumn(Figure9).Movethehandleuptoindicatearight-hand
turn.Movethehandledowntoindicatealeft-handturn.Returnthehandletothecenterpositionaftercompletingaturn.

tothelowoilwarninglight(9)(Figure7).Thedieselengineisliquid-cooled;iftheenginecoolanthasexceededits
normalsafeoperatingtemperature,thewarninglightwillilluminate.Ifthewarninglightlightsup,stopthevehicleand
allowittoidleforapproximatelyveminutesbeforestoppingtheengine.ContactaHusqvarnadealer/distributorora

Usethepositionadjustmentlever(1)tomovetheseatclosertoorfartherfromthesteeringwheel(Figure11).To
adjusttheseatposition,sitinthedriverseatandraisethepositionadjustmentlever.Slidetheseateitherforwardor
backwarduntilitreachesthedesiredposition,thenreturnthelevertoitsoriginalposition.
Theheightadjustmentknob(2)enablesyoutomodifytheseatheight.Usetheseatheightadjustmenttogetherwith
theseattensionadjustmentuntiltheseatfeelscomfortable.
Toadjusttheseatheight,sitinthedriverseatandpullouttheadjustmentknob(2).Movetheknobtowardtheshorter
indicatortolowertheseatheightortowardthetallerindicatortoraisetheseatheight.
Seattensioncontrolshowrmorsofttheridefeelstothedriver.Increasingseattensionresultsinarmerride;
decreasingtensionresultsinasofterride.
Usethetensionadjustmentlever(3)toadjusttheseattension.Pulloutthetensionadjustmenthandle(3),rotate
thehandletotheplus(+)signtoincreasetensionortheminus(–)signtodecreasetension,andreleasethehandle.

3.Studyandunderstandallcontrols.
4.Besureallpassengersareseatedwiththeirseatbeltsfastenedandareholdingontohandholds.Drivershould
havebothhandsonthesteeringwheel.
5.Makesurewheelsareturnedindesireddirectionandnothingisinyourpath.
6.MakesuretheForward/ReversehandleisintheNEUTRALposition.
7.Pressandholdthebrakepedal.
8.Startthevehicle.
8.1.T opreheatglowplugsincoldweather,turnthekeytothePREHEATpositionandholdittherefor10-15
seconds.TurnthekeytotheSTARTpositionandholditthereuntiltheenginestarts.Iftheenginedoesnot
startafter10-15seconds,turnthekeytotheOFFpositionandrepeattheprocedure.Oncetheengine
starts,releasethekeyanditwillreturntotheONposition.Theenginewillidleinneutral.
9.Releasetheparkbrake.
10.Keepthebrakepedalengaged,andselectdirectionoftravelbyplacingtheshifthandleinthedesiredposition
(Figure7).Theenginemustbeatidlebeforetheshifthandleismoved.Abuzzerwillsoundasawarningwhen
theForward/ReversehandleisintheREVERSEposition.
11.Releasethebrakepedalcompletely,andthenslowlypresstheacceleratorpedal.Astheacceleratorpedalis
pressed,thevehiclewillbegintomove.Vehiclespeedwillincreaseastheacceleratorispresseduntilfullspeedis
reached.All-wheeldrivewillautomaticallydrivetheappropriatewheel(s)asrequired.SeefollowingWARNING.

powertothewheel,orwheels,thathavethemosttraction,providingoptimumtractionatalltimes.Forexample,ifall
wheelsexcepttherearpassenger-sidewheellosetraction,thenpowerwillbedirectedtotherearpassenger-side
