System Overview and Components
System Overview
Congratulations on your purchase of the Telephone Interface. This Telephone Interface Is
designed to provide paging from any telephone Within your phone system. Telephone Interface
units receive a page from a telephone and then transmit the signal to JTECH vibraling or digital
pagers. Multiple Telephone Interface units can be used per paging system. When operating
properly the Telephone interface displays twu digits when relaying a two-digit pager ID number
and a random number when relaying a three digit pager ID number. The following illustration
shows the components of your JTECH Telephone Interface Unit.

Please inspect the System upon receipt. lfthe contents appear to be damaged contact the
shipper to file a claim and notify JTECH Client Services If any components are missing. contact
JTECH Client Services,
Installation
The Phone Interface should be securely mounted to a wall or placed on a table where it will be
safe from liquids. extreme heat and possible physical damage Mounting screws are user
provided. The unit requires a standard power outlet
1. Connect the antenna to the BNC antenna port marked A1
2. Connect one end of an RJ—11 phone cord to the phone jack marked J2 on the front of the unit
and the other to an available phone jack line in your telephone system. The Phone Interface
requires an analog phone jack, the Phone Interface must be able to hearthe tones from a
push button telephone If a modem or FAX would work on the telephone line, it is an analog
line.
3. Connect power to the unit using the power adapter supplied The two red LED‘s (L1 and L2).
will alternate quickly a few times and then settle into a slow blinking of L2. This slow blinking
indicates that the Phone Interface is waiting for a call.
4. The system should now be operational.

Paging
Paging Digital Pagers
To initiate a Digital page and send a message from a telephone, execute the following
procedures:
1.
Plck up the receiver, listen for the dlal tone and dial any of the system extensions that have
been assigned to the Digital Paging System. You will hear only one tone indicating file
system is ready for you to enter the pager ID number.
Enter a Pager ID number or Group number that you wish to page using the telephone keypad.
Always add 100 to the Group number (i,e., enter 103 to indicate Group 3. or 106 to indicate
Group 6.), Press the # key,
Enter a message up to five digits If the message is five digits, an alternating tone is heard
once the fifth digit is entered This tone indicates the message has been sent Press the
pound (#) key on the phone keypad to send the page lithe message is less than five digits.
An alternating tone is heard verifying the message was sent.
Hang up the recelver.
Paging Vibrating Pagers
To initlate a Vibrate page from a telephone, execute the following procedures:
Pick up the receiver. Ilsten for the dial tone and dial any of the system extensions that have
been asslgned to the Paging System, Vou will hear only one tone indicating the system is
ready for you to enter the pager lD number
Enter the three-dlgit pager ID number that you Wish to page using the telephone keypad.
Leading zeros must be entered to form three digits. Press the if key.
Enter a 1,2, or 3 to Indicate the number of vibrations if no number is entered the page will not
be sent. Press the pound (1?) key on the phone keypad to send the page. An alternating tone
is heard verifying the message was sent.
4. Hang up the receiver.

Troubleshooting
it you cannot page from a telephone, ensure that the Phone Interface has power. The power
|ndicator light (L2) should be blinking slowly.
L2 will turn on while the phone |s ringing and will flash when digits are received. L1 W|lI flash
qurckly while the page is transmitted. L2 will continue blinking slowly after the phone interface
hangs up the phone line
Ifthe extension rings continually without answering. check the following:
1. The phone interface is powered on (watch L1 and L2)
2. The phone lines assigned to the Paging System from the phone system switch are connected
to the Phone Interface.
3 The hunt group in your phone system is set up for only one extension connected to the Phone
lnterlace

Service
If you need service, call toil free BOO/321-6221 or (561)997-0772 and ask for JTECH Client
Services If the problem cannot be solved over the phone by one of our service technicians we
will process a replacement unit within two business days of your phone call. When you receive
the replacement simpiy place the defective unit the same box using the bottom part of your
packing slip as the return address label, Returned shipment costs are the responsibility of the
client We suggest the equipment be shipped in a traceable manner for your protection. NOTE:
Any equipment not received by JTECH within 20 days will be billed to the client at fuil retail value
In lieu of a phone call you may also send a fax to Client Services at 561/997-5672,
There are no charges for repaired equipment Within the warranty period other than your shipping
costs. Check with Client Services for the iatest charges for repair or replacement oi equipment.
Ali non-warranty shipments are sent on a 00.0. basis.
Note: There may be an additional charge it, after the item is returned and analyzed‘ it is
determined to be “non-salvageabie" - for example, liquid damages. abused or misused.

General Terms and Conditions of Sale

executed between JTECH Communications Incl (selleri and its buyer of goods proposed for sale herein:
1. Price. All prices are F 0.3 point oi origin. unless othemise agreed to in writing by the buyer and seller Prices
quoted are those in effect at the time or quotation and are valid ior 30 days from the date oi quotation regardless oi
existence oi any written ccnfinrlatlurl. Until the proposal price and subsequent purchase price are paid in full, the buyer
grants seller a security interest in all orlhe goods described in this proposal all of the goods described in any resulting
contract and buyer agrees lo sign on seller's request any required documentation to complete sellers said security
interest.
z Payment Terms. Normal payment lerrns are 00.0. unless otheniiiise set lorth in this proposal Any outstanding
balances not paid by the date on which they are due to JTECH Communications inc, shall be subject to interest or 1
1/2% per month on the unpaid balance (or the maximum allowable by law whichever is the lessor) as well as rebilling
charges together Wltt‘i reasonable attorney's fees and paralegal tees including all such lees in any appeal together with all
costs associated with etiorts by JTECH to enforce lhe terms or this proposal as well as all agreements between the
parties Any discounts oliered will be calculated from the date of invoice to the date that payment is received by JTECH
or JTECH‘S agents Any discount is void if nol taken at time ofpayment ol the invoice containing said discount within

3. Products. Products are defined as those items listed on this proposal and a subsequent resultant purchase order to
JTECH containing items listed on this proposal
4. Acceptance. Upon receipt the buyer shall immediately inspect find/or test the products unless stated otherwise in
writing on the final agreement between the parties, products shall be deemed accepted unless the buyer notifies JTECH
within 5 working days aner receipt or shipment ol any detector discrepancy
5. Transportation. Unless the buyer specifies the method oitlansponatlon. JTECH will use its bestjudgmerlt in
determining the method of transportation All costs of standard transportation, premium transportation ll required through
no fault of JTECH. arid other costs such as exalse taxes, duty, ireighi forwarding or the like shall be billed to the buyer
5. Title and Risk of Loss. Title of goods sold. shall pass to buyer at the FD B. point.
7. Limited Warranty for material and workmanship. JTECH (Seller) warrants to the buyer that products purchased
lrurn JTECH shall be free tram detects in material and workmanship under normal use and service JTECH’S obligation
under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or exchange oi any part or parts which may thus prove defective under
normal use and sewlce within one (1) year errrl date cl purchase by the original purchaser, and which our Elimination
shall disclose to Our satisfaction to be thus detective. THIS PROPOSAL AND SUBSEQUENT SALE ARE MADE ON
THE EXPRESS UNDERSTANOlNG THAT THERE lS NO IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT THE GOODS SHALL BE
MERCHANTABLE NOR AN IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT THE GOODS SHALL BE FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. THE BUYER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT BUYER IS NOT RELYING ON THE SELLER'S SKILL OR
JUDGMENT T0 SELECT OR FURNISH GOODS SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND THAT THERE
ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THOSE PREVIOUSLY SET FORTH HEREIN PURCHASER IS
DIRECTED NOT TO RELY ON JTECH'S PRODUCTS TO FUNCTION AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF ITS LIFE
CARE/LIFE SUPPORT PROCEDURES OR SYSTEMS. JTECH'S PRODUCTS ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR SUCH
USE; PARTICULARLY WHEN AN ALLEGATION MAY BE MADE THAT PRODUCT MALFUNCTION CONTRIBUTED
TO THE FAILURE TO ADMINISTER A PROPER TREATMENT, PROCEDURE. ACTION OR MEDICATION. BUYER
AGREES TO FULLV PROTECT, DEFEND AND HOLD SELLER HARMLESS FROM CLAIMS OR DAMAGES
RESULTING FROM THE USE OF JTECH'S PRODUCTS IN LIFE CARE/LIFE SUPPORT PROCEDURES. Ally claim
by the buyer for the repair or exchange oigoods proposed and bi goods actually sold to buyer shall be deemed waived
by the buyer unless submitted in writing to JTECH within the earlier of (a) 30 (thirty) days from the date the buyer
discovered or by reasonable inspection should have discovered any claimed breach or the ioregolng warranty.
8. Damages Based Upon Negligence or Strict Liability. JTECH's obligation based upon any claim of negligence or oi
strict liability as a result of its delivery of products ordered by Buyer, shall be limited to, at JTECH's Option, repairing or
repracing the products that are round by JTECH to be defective, or refunding the purchase price of such products. In no
event shall JTECH's liability exceed the purchase price of the products which are subject matter of any such claim.
JTECH shall not be obligated to make any such retund or replacement until at least thirty (30) days alter JTECH has
received lrum Buyer the subject alleged detective product, which will be shipped to JTECH at the buyer‘s expense

arising out of ur in connection with the purchase by Buyer of goods from JTECH including” Without limitation. such

damages which may be caused by a breach oi any obligation or warranty imposed on JTECH under such purchase
Consequentlal damages shall include without limitation, loss at use, income or profit, or loss sustained as the result at
inyury to any person, or loss or damage to any property, or loss or damages sustained as the result oiworlt stoppage.
Buyer shall indemnify JTECH against all liability, cost or expense which may be sustained Dy JTECH due to loss,
damage or injury. IN NO EVENT, SHALL JTECH'S LIABILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF GOODS
10. Taxes. Unless specifically provided herein, the price for goods purchased as a result oi this proposal does not
include sales. use, excise or similar taxes, whether Federal, Stale or local. Buyer is responsible lor all applicable taxes
for any goods afler title passes to the Buyer at the F 08 point. If Buyer is exempt from paying sales taxes, a certificate
evidencing such shall be provided to JTECH upon request,
11. Export. Buyer agrees not to directly or indirectly export any Goods purchased from JTECH (whether or not modified
by subsequent services) including, but not llmtted to pans, equipment. Software or technical data/documentation without
first obtaining the required U. . Government export iicense(s). Ii Buyer intends to export Goods outside the US, Buyer
shall determine whether an export license is required, and, if so. obtain that license lrum Ihe U 5. Government. Buyer
shall protect, defend and indemnify JTECH from any loss or liability due tn Buyel‘s failure to Comply with expert
regulations. Buyer iurthers warrants that the Goods sold to Buyer horn JTECH will not be resold. transferred, exported or
reused in any way by Buyer in violation oi any laws, regulations or export control imposed by the u 5 Government
12. Delays. Unless specified in wrlting by JTECH to the contrary, goods in stock shall be shipped immediately upon the
signing oi a binding purchase agreement. Goods not in stock will be shipped as soon as possible. JTECH will not be
liable ior any nonperiormance oi the Agreement resulting tram this proposal paused by strikes, fires. disasters, riots, acts
of God or other causes or conditions beyond JTECH‘s reasonable control. in the event oi such delay or nonpsriormanca,
JTECH may, at its sole option, and wrthout liability, cancel any portion ofthe Agreement resulting irom this proposal
and/oi extend any date upon which any performance is due
13. Yermination. li Buyer (3) rails to pay any amount owed when due, or (h) assigns or transiers the Agreement
subsequently resulting irom this proposal without JTECH‘s prior written consent, or (c)rnal
