AREAS
Follow any restrictions. Switch
the device off near fuel, chemicals, or
blasting areas.
QUALIFIED SERVICE
Only qualified personnel may
install or repair this product.

Use only approved
enhancements. Do not connect
incompatible products.
Introduction
This quick user guide describes the
basic features of the car kit.
Read carefully the complete user and
installation guide on the CD that is
supplied with the car kit. It contains,
for example, troubleshooting tips and
important safety and maintenance
information.
Have the car kit installed by a
qualified service technician. To use the
car kit, you must pair and connect it
with your compatible device using
Bluetooth wireless technology. See
the user and installation guide for
details.
Read the user and installation
guide
To view the user and installation
guide, you need a PC that has the
Windows XP or Vista operating system
and a compatible CD or DVD drive. You
also need to have the Adobe Reader
application on the PC.
Place the CD in the drive on your PC.
Wait until the installation program
starts automatically (if the CD-ROM

Get started
Input device
You can operate the car kit using the
input device CU-11 shown at the start
of this guide. The device is provided
with the NaviTM wheel that you can
turn or press.
Turn the wheel to adjust the volume
when you are using the mobile phone
or music device connected to the car
kit.
Press the wheel for other tasks, for
example, to handle calls.
Switch on
If the ignition sense wire is connected,
turn on the car ignition.
If the ignition sense wire is not
connected, press and hold the Navi
wheel for about 2 seconds.
Alternatively, turn on the ignition,
start driving, and wait until the built-
in motion sensor switches the car kit
on automatically.
Switch off
If the ignition sense wire is connected,
turn off the car ignition.
If the ignition sense wire is not
connected and you are not using your
phone connected to the car kit for
calling, close the Bluetooth
connection to your phone and music
device.

After you turn off the car ignition, do
not leave your mobile phone or music
device connected to the car kit to
prevent accidental draining of the car
battery.
Operation
Calls
To make a call, use your mobile phone
in the normal way when the car kit is
connected to it.
To redial the number you last called (if
your phone supports this feature with
the car kit), press the Navi wheel twice
when no call is in progress.
To activate voice dialling (if your
phone supports this feature with the
car kit), press and hold the Navi wheel
for about 2 seconds when no call is in
progress, and proceed as described in
the user guide of your phone.
To answer or end a call, press the Navi
wheel. To reject a call, press and hold
the Navi wheel for about 2 seconds.
To switch an active call between the
car kit and your compatible phone,
press and hold the Navi wheel for
about 2 seconds.
Adjust volume
To adjust the volume when you use
the mobile phone or music device
connected to the car kit, turn the Navi
wheel to left or right.
