INVISIBLE LASER RADIATION: DO NOT VIEW
DIRECTLY WITH OPTICAL INSTRUMENTS; CLASS 1M
LASER PRODUCT. This optical device complies with
International Standard IEC 60825-1: 2001-08, Class 1M
Laser Product Invisible and also complies with 21
CFR 1040.10 and 1040.1, except for deviations pursuant to
Laser Notice Nr. 50, dated July 26, 2001: Emission of 2
diverging beams (+/-4°) of infrared user-invisible light
Maximum power 2x300uW with 2 interleaved lasers (duty
cycle 24%), wavelength range (min 844, max 865
nano-meters) Operating temperature between 0°C (32°F) to
40°C (104° F). CAUTION: This optical device has no
serviceable parts. Use of controls or adjustments or
performance of procedures other than those specified
herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
Guidelines for safe and efficient use. A Class 1M Laser
Product is safe under reasonably foreseeable conditions of
operation, but may be hazardous if the user employs optics
within the beam. It is recommended to observe the
following precautions:
1. Viewing the laser output with certain optical instruments
(for example, eye loupes, magnifiers and microscopes)
within a distance of 100mm may pose an eye hazard.
2. Do not direct the infrared beam at anyone's eye.
3. In the absence of proper operation and if troubleshooting
is unsuccessful, switch off the device and call Logitech
technical support. 4. Do not attempt to disassemble your
product unless it is for end-of-life disposal.
5. Do not expose your product to liquid, humidity, or
moisture. 6. Do not operate your product when the
temperatures is outside the specified operating range of
0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104° F). In case
of exposure to out-of-range temperature environment,
switch off the device, and allow temperature to stabilize
within the specified operating temperature range before
operating.
Important Ergonomic Information
Long periods of repetitive motions using an improperly
set-up workspace, incorrect body position, and poor work
habits may be associated with physical discomfort and
injury to nerves, tendons, and muscles. If you feel pain,
numbness, weakness, swelling, burning, cramping, or
stiffness in these areas, see a qualified health professional.
Installation of the Mouse
The USB receiver fits into the bottom of the mouse for
storage.
• Insert the 2 AAA batteries into the mouse
• Simply plug your receiver into an open USB port to
begin using
your mouse. Note: for convenience and portability the
receiver stores
in the bottom of your mouse when not in use.
Connecting the Mouse with the Receiver
1. Press the button on top of the receiver.
2. Press the connect button on the bottom of the mouse.
Low Battery Light
The low battery indicator on top of your mouse will blink red
to indicate that the mouse needs to be recharged.
Recharge your mouse batteries
by using the integrated recharge cable inside the bottom of
the mouse. Expected battery life is 2 to 3 months
depending on usage. To extend battery life place the
receiver in the bottom of the mouse when not in use. This
will automatically turn your mouse off.
How to recharge the mouse
The USB charging cable is integrated into the bottom of the
mouse
1. Open the battery door on the bottom of the mouse
2. Ease out the USB charging cable. Warning: the cable
remains attached to the mouse, do dot force.
3. Plug the charging cable into a USB port on your
computer
(make sure computer is turned ON)
4. Close the battery door.
Note: While charging, you can continue to use the
mouse only
if the USB receiver is also plugged into the computer.
The cable is only a charging cable and cannot replace
the wireless connection.
Troubleshooting
If your Wireless Mouse does not function properly, please
review
the following steps for troubleshooting.
• Insure that the USB mini-receiver is properly inserted
into
your computer’s USB port. Try another USB port.
• Keep the mouse within one meter (3 feet) of the
receiver.
Metallic surfaces will shorten transmission distances.
• Try re-connecting the mouse with the receiver. Please
see the section “Connecting the Mouse with the
Receiver.”
• If you find you are having problems (erratic or no
movement) or if
the low battery light blinks red, you will need to recharge
the mouse. Please see the section “How to recharge”.
Maintenance of your Mouse
• You may clean the surface of the Mouse with a soft
damp cloth.
• Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• Before using any chemical cleaners, please test the
results on
the bottom of the device.
Rechargeable NimH Battery Warning
This product contains secondary user
replaceable/technician replaceable 1.5 volts NiMh
batteries.
• Only equivalent 1.5V NiMh batteries shall be used as
replacement.
• Do not use or charge product nearby fire, stove or
heated place.
• Do not mistreat or misuse battery or it may cause fire or
chemical burn.
• For optimum performance of the product change or
recharge
the battery on display of Low battery indicator.
• Do not use different power supply than provided with this
product.
