Side-By-Side model sizes 20,21,22,25, and 27 produced after 12/99 (serial number prefix ZV)

no longer use RTV in consumer-visible portions of the Fresh Food and Freezer cabinet interior

corner seams.

Due to a design change in the cabinet interior, the use of RTV to provide a water tight seal near

the front of the Fresh Food and Freezer compartments is no longer necessary. They are now

sealed at the seam on the foam-side of the liner providing an invisible seal. This is only for the

front (consumer-visible) portions of the FF and FZ liner. The rear portions (hidden by the storage

bins) will still use RTV as the seam seal. No additional RTV is necessary due to this change.

This change applies to both the breaker strips and metal cabinet liner seams.
