HOW IT WORKS The Smart Dogm Wireless Fence is easily installed in ts minutes or less with only minor assembly. When installed, the solarspcmered transmrtter emrts a mortar signal tield (adluslabts to a maximum diameter or 50 test or 2000 sq lt ) that establishes a radicalrequency link mm a collar receiver worn around your dog's nedi When your dog is wearing the collar and approaches the edge or the signal treld, he receives a lone along wnh a harmless correction stimulus, reminding him to retreat to the “sale" part cl the yard The audible tone sounds simultaneously to let you know that the dog has received correction Note that the Smart chw Wireless Fence contains a back—Hy battery to power rt during perrods or reduced sunlight (up to 20 days under optimum conditions) For best results, however, the trensmltter must he placed in an area where It can consis- tently receive direct sunlight Fallule to do so may result in inconsistent operation Also note that the solar cell Is situated on top 01 the transmllter unit Thereiore the top at the transmitter must be kept clear or snow, leaves, or other material or debris that could block sunlight lrom the solar cell ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION Transmitter: l, Remove all components lronr the packaging 2 Select the area in which you would like your dogts) to be contelned Note The Wireless Fence provides a circular containment area with a maxrmum diameter or 50‘12000 sq rt) you may wish to position the wireless tenoe so that its contain— merit arse overlaps any doorways, etc , which your dog will use to enter the yard For proper operation, the solalrpowered transmitter must be plawd in an area where it will receive consistent direct sunlight Do not position the transmitter under trees, awnings, or other obstruchons that may block the sun 3 Anchor the pointed end ol the stake lrrmly into the ground so that approximately 8" ot the stake is Vislble The stake should be anchored at a 90-degree angle to the grounds sunace it it is necessary to use a hammer to lnsen the stake into the ground, do not pound directly on the top or the stake as this may delorrn rl Place the supplied plastic cap on top at the stake and hammer on the top or the cap until the stake is anchored.
