Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Note: The digital portion of the transceiver has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. -Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Draft Installation Following information will be included in the User Manual The user and the installer should be aware that changes and modifications not expressly approved by Tadiran Telematics could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This equipment shall be installed by professional personnel. The equipment shall be installed at the bottom of the water meter pit as described in the following picture: The unit is installed as shown in the center of the bottom of the pit. Draft There are 3 types of the pits: metal, concrete and plastic, as shown at the following pictures: Metal Pit Concrete Pit Plastic Pit Draft Special instructions for installation in the concrete or plastic pits. 1.When installing the equipment in the concrete or plastic pit, the installer shall insure that the pits are equipped with rectangular metal lid at the center of the cover (as shown on the above pictures). Only these pits are allowed for use with the equipment. 2. When installing the equipment in the pit made of plastic or concrete, a special adhesive sticker shall be attached to the meter as described in the drawings (see attached picture). The sticker is copper foil sticker (e.g. type 3M 1181, PPI 9115 or compatible), intended for permanent adhesion. Stickers used for the product are produced with special adhesive and are designed to withstand the installation conditions during the lifetime of the product. Only stickers, supplied as a part of the installation kit of the meter, shall be used. Use of stickers unauthorized by the manufacturer is prohibited.
