Specific Absorption
Rate (SAR) certification
information
The SAR is a value that corresponds to the relative
amount of RF energy absorbed by a user of a
wireless handset.
The SAR value of a device is the result of an
extensive testing, measuring and calculation
process. It does not represent how much RF the
device emits. All device models are tested at
their highest value in strict laboratory settings.
But when in operation, the SAR of a device can
be substantially less than the level reported to
Industry Canada. This is because of a variety of
factors including its proximity to a base station
antenna, device design and other factors. What is
important to remember is that each device meets
strict federal guidelines. Variations in SARs do not
represent a variation in safety.
Follow the warnings below to prevent
injury to people or damage to the device
• Do not allow children or animals to chew or
suck the device.
• Do not poke eyes, ears, or other body parts
with the device or insert the device into the
mouth.
• The device can be used in locations with an
ambient temperature of 0°C to 35°C. You can
store the device at an ambient temperature
of -20°C to 50°C. Using or storing the device
outside of the recommended temperature
ranges may damage the device or reduce the
battery’s lifespan.
• Do not store your device near or in heaters,
microwaves, cooking equipment, or high
pressure containers.
• Keep your device dry.
• Do not use your device outdoor during a
thunderstorm.
• Comply with all safety warnings and
regulations regarding mobile device usage
while operating a vehicle.
All devices must meet the federal standard,
which incorporates a substantial margin of
safety. As stated above, variations in SAR values
between different model devices do not mean
variations in safety. SAR values at or below the
federal standard of 1.6 W/kg are considered safe
for use by the public.
The highest reported SAR values for the SM-R732
are:
Head : 0.138 W/kg
Body : 0.439W/kg
This device has been tested and meets RF
exposure guidelines when used with an
accessory that contains no metal and that
positions the mobile device a minimum of 0.0 cm
from the body.

immediately and dry it thoroughly with a
clean, soft cloth. Failure to rinse the device
in freshwater and dry it as instructed may
cause the device to suffer from operability
or cosmetic issues.
• If the device is dropped or receives an
impact, the water- and dust-resistant features
of the device may be damaged.
• The touchscreen and other features may not
work properly if the device is used in water
