Exposure to radio waves (SAR)When your device, the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality or the Bluetooth handsfree functionality is turned on, it emits low levels of radio frequency energy(radio waves). The radio wave exposure guidelines employ a unit ofmeasurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. This devicemeets the international SAR limit guidelines and your device´s SAR valuesare below these limits. The Specific Absorption Rate for your deviceis 0.86 W/kg averaged over 10g when worn on your wrist.SAR data information is provided for residents in countries that haveadopted the SAR limit recommended by the International Commission ofNon-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), which is 2 W/kg averaged overten (10) gram of body tissue or recommended by the Institute of Electricaland Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is 1.6 W/kg averaged overone (1) gram of body tissue. Products used on limbs has a internationallimit based on ICNIRP recommendations at 4 W/kg averaged overten (10) gram of body tissue. These requirements are based on scientificguidelines that include safety margins designed to assure the safety of allpersons, regardless of age and health.Tests for SAR are conducted using standardized methods with thedevice transmitting at its highest certified power level in all used frequencybands, but because the device is designed to use the minimum powernecessary to access the chosen network, the actual SAR level can be wellbelow this value. While there may be differences between the SAR levels ofvarious device models, they are all designed to meet the relevantguidelines for exposure to radio waves.Your device is used worn on your wrist and has been tested whenpositioned at 0 mm from the body without any metal parts in the vicinity ofclock or when properly used with an appropriate accessory and worn onthe wrist. The WHO (World Health Organization) has stated that current scientificinformation does not indicate the need for special precautions for the useof clocks. For more information about this topic, please refer to the WHOdocument (Memo No. 193, Electromagnetic Fields and Public Health,Mobile phones and their base stations), available at: http://who.int/emf .For further regional specific information about exposure to radio waves(SAR), please find your region:2
