The 1783/93SE30th anniversary edition was developed with all the technicalknow-how of those 30 years.  We started with a provendetection circuitry with All BandTM and added top-of-the-linefeatures such as:Memo-record up to 90 secondsDigital Compass-provides cardinal points and direction in 5 degree increments.Real Voice®-allows you to keep your eyes on the roadWhistler’s exclusive Safe Driving System-incorporatesthe Safety Warning System (SWS), keeping you informedof road hazards as well as our unique Stay Alert system,it tests your alertness on long solo tripsVehicle Battery Saver and Monitor system-battery saver turns the detector off if you forget and the monitor momentarily displays the vehicle’s battery voltageEven though the 1783/93SE is packed full of features, it is stillvery easy to use.  To fully utilize the unit to its potential, werecommend reading this entire manual.NOTE: Compass must be calibrated before use!
