Before You Begin
Ensure your device has a full battery and is connected to a constant power source during the update process. The SD card used for the update must be formatted on a PC before starting.
Save any previous video recordings from the Micro SD card to your computer.
Update Procedure
- Insert your Micro SD card into a card reader/adapter and connect it to your PC. Format the Micro SD card to ensure it is blank.
- Copy the firmware update file (.bin) onto the blank Micro SD card.
- Insert the Micro SD card into your MiVue device. Switch on the device and select 'Yes' to accept the firmware update. This process may take several minutes.
- The firmware update will install automatically. Once finished, the device will switch off. Remove the SD card and switch the device back on. Format the SD card using a card reader/adapter before re-inserting it into your device for recording your next journey.
Important Notes
Please note: Installing the latest firmware will reset the Safety Cameras feature to its factory default settings. It is recommended to install the latest safety camera update after this software update has been successfully installed on your MiVue.
