This product has been designed and manufactured to Nakamichi's exacting standards to ensure many years of audio enjoyment. For the best performance, we recommend that you have your Nakamichi product installed by an authorized Nakamichi dealer.

If you would like to install this product on your own, we recommend for you to go through this manual to familiarize yourself with all the installation requirements and procedures.

Installation Of Your Product

In today's modern vehicles, it is very easy to cause damage to existing systems through improper installation. Please follow and scrutinize all wiring diagrams to ensure that you have connected everything in its proper place. If you find yourself uncomfortable or unfamiliar with understanding the wiring and installation diagrams or testing instructions, do contact your nearest Nakamichi dealer to perform the installation for you.

Safety Warnings And Considerations (For Amplifier / DSP / Active Woofer)

  • Clean only with a dry cloth or other similar materials.
  • Install your product in a dry, well-ventilated location that does not interfere with your vehicle's safety equipment.
  • Do not block any ventilation openings when installing this product.
  • Do not mount the product in the engine compartment of your vehicle or in any areas of extreme heat such as mufflers, silencers, exhaust pipes or other heat producing apparatus.
  • Securely mount the product so that it does not come loose in the event of a collision or as a result of repeated vibrations that might occur during normal operation.
  • Installation of the apparatus must be done with great care to prevent damage to your vehicle's fuel lines, power, and other electrical wiring, Hydraulic brake lines, and other systems. If possible always visit your nearest Nakamichi dealer to perform the installation.
  • Do not run any wiring outside or underneath the vehicle. Keep all wires inside the vehicle.
  • Take the necessary precautions when making connections to the vehicle's battery to avoid any potential shock.
  • Protect all system wires from sharp edges by carefully routing them, always use rubber grommets to protect wiring and cables whenever you are installing them through metal openings.
  • Secure all wiring using cable ties or wire clamps to protect them from moving parts and sharp edges.
  • This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no object filled with liquids, shall be placed on the apparatus.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power input terminals are damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  • Fuses shall be replaced only with the correct type and fuse value, and only when the apparatus is powered off.
  • Exposure to high sound pressure levels may lead to permanent hearing loss. Take every precaution to protect your hearing.
  • This product is designed specifically for use with 12 volt, negative-Ground electrical systems only. Using this product in systems with positive ground and/or voltages other than 12V may result in damage to the product and your system.

Warranty Considerations

Nakamichi warrants this product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period stated by your country's authorized Nakamichi distributor. This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original owner who has purchased from an authorized Nakamichi dealer.

Should service be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect or malfunction, Nakamichi will (at its discretion), Repair or replace the defective product with new or remanufactured product at no charge. Damage caused by the following is not covered under warranty: accident, misuse, abuse, product modification or neglect, failure to follow installation instructions, unauthorized repair attempts, misrepresentations by the seller.

This warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages and does not cover the cost of removing or reinstalling the unit(s). Cosmetic damage due to accident or normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty.

Warranty is void if the product's serial number has been removed or defaced.

Button Functions:

  1. Power Key: Short press mutes the unit; long press turns the unit off.
  2. Home Menu: Press to enter the main menu.
  3. Return Key: Press to return to the previous page.
  4. Volume +: Press to increase volume; long press increases volume continuously.
  5. Volume -: Press to decrease volume; long press decreases volume continuously.

Functional Application

Safety Instructions

  1. For safe driving and to avoid violating traffic regulations, do not watch videos and do not operate the unit while driving.
  2. To avoid short circuiting, do not expose the unit to rain or any other source of water.
  3. To avoid short circuiting, do not expose the unit to any bare metal during installation.
  4. Do not attempt to dismantle the unit for maintenance; all service and maintenance should be performed by an authorized service centre or technician.
  5. When the engine is turned off, avoid using the unit for an extended period as this might drain the car's battery.
  6. Wipe the screen carefully! Do not use sharp objects to push against the screen.

Upon booting, the unit enters the home menu. The icons represent:

  • [Av In Icon]: Click to enter the AV In input.
  • [EQ Icon]: Click to enter EQ adjustment.
  • [Application Icon]: Click to view all the applications.
  • [Car Settings Icon]: Click to enter car settings interface.
  • [Off Screen Icon]: Click to turn off the screen.

Radio

Touch "Radio" in the home menu to enter the radio interface.

Icons:

  • [Home Icon ?]: Returns to the home menu.
  • [FM/AM Icon ?]: Switches between FM and AM bands.
  • [Search Icon ?]: Searches for stations automatically.
  • [Local/Remote Icon ?]: Selects a local or remote station.
  • [Input Station Icon ?]: Inputs a specific station.
  • [RDS Icon ?]: Opens RDS (Radio Data System).
  • [Audio Effect Icon ?]: Sets the audio effect.
  • Long press [Upward Search Icon ▲] for 2 seconds to search stations upward; stops when a station is found. Press this icon to fine-tune upward.
  • Long press [Downward Search Icon ▼] for 2 seconds to search stations downward; stops when a station is found. Press this icon to fine-tune downward.

EasyConnection

Press the EasyConnection icon to enter. The mobile phone can be connected to the in-vehicle infotainment device through Android USB, Android Wi-Fi, and iPhone Wi-Fi.

Bluetooth

After connecting your mobile phone via Bluetooth, you can make calls and play music. Press the Bluetooth icon to enter the Bluetooth interface.

  • [Connect Bluetooth Icon ?]: Connects the selected Bluetooth device.
  • [Disconnect Bluetooth Icon ??]: Disconnects the currently Bluetooth device.
  • [Delete Paired Device Icon ?️]: Deletes a paired device.

The unit supports Dial Phone, Phone book, and Call log functions.

Settings

Touch the "Settings" icon from the home menu to enter.

  • 1. Network & Internet: Wi-Fi settings, data usage, hotspot.
  • 2. APP: View installed apps.
  • 3. Storage: Check device storage and usage.
  • 4. Security & Location: Location function, mode, app permissions.
  • 5. Users & accounts: Manage user accounts.
  • 6. Accessibility: Enable accessibility applications and settings.
  • 7. Google: Set parameters for Google services & preferences.
  • 8. Car settings: For steering wheel control learning, reverse auxiliary line settings, etc.
