QFX PBX-1212 Portable Party Speaker User Manual

1. Control Panel Functions

The control panel features the following functions:

  • 1. LED POWER: Front LED light switch (ON/OFF).
  • 2. POWER: Main power On/Off button.
  • 3. MIC. VOL: Microphone volume control.
  • 4. SD card input: Slot for SD card.
  • 5. GUITAR INPUT: Terminal for guitar input.
  • 6. REC: Recording function button.
  • 7. MIC PRIORITY: Prioritizes microphone sound.
  • 8. PREV/CH: Short press for Previous Track (Mp3 mode) or previous channel (FM mode).
  • 9. LED DISPLAY: Displays current mode and information.
  • 10. PLAY/SCAN: Short press to play or pause (Mp3 mode), or Auto Scan and preset frequencies (FM mode).
  • 11. NEXT/CH+: Short press for Next Track (Mp3 mode) or next channel (FM mode).
  • 12. MODE: Transforms media input mode. Long press to enable TWS function.
  • 13. MIC. INPUT: Wired microphone input jack.
  • 14. USB card input: Slot for USB drive.
  • 15. MASTER VOLUME: Controls the overall volume.
  • 16. BASS: Adjusts bass levels.
  • 17. TREBLE: Adjusts treble levels.
  • 18. ECHO: Controls microphone echo effect.
  • 19. GT. VOL: Guitar volume control.
  • 20. DISCO BALL: Controls the disco ball light effect.
  • 21. AUDIO INPUT: Auxiliary audio input.
  • 22. DC 12V INPUT: External DC 12V power input.
  • 23. AC INPUT: AC power input (110-240V 50/60Hz).

2. Remote Control Functions

The remote control provides the following functions:

  • 1. Power On/Off: Turns the unit on or off.
  • 2. Number Keypad: For direct selection of tracks or inputs.
  • 3. MUTE: Mutes the volume.
  • 4. REC: Starts recording.
  • 5. U/SD: Selects USB or SD card input.
  • 6. REP: Repeats or shuffles tracks.
  • 7. Play/Pause: Starts or pauses playback.
  • 8. Previous Track: Skips to the previous track.
  • 9. Next Track: Skips to the next track.
  • 10. MODE: Switches media input mode.
  • 11. AUX: Selects auxiliary input.
  • 12. FM: Selects FM radio mode.
  • 13. VOL+: Increases volume.
  • 14. VOL-: Decreases volume.
  • 15. EQ: Selects preset equalizer modes.

3. Charging the Speaker

  • Full recharge takes approximately 8-12 hours.
  • Use the supplied charging cable for charging.
  • The battery switch can be ON or OFF when the unit is plugged into an external power source.
  • To protect the battery lifespan, fully charge the unit on the same day the battery runs out. Not charging immediately may affect battery performance.

4. Wired Microphone Instructions

  • Insert the microphone plug into the MIC. INPUT jack.
  • Adjust the MIC. VOL knob for desired microphone volume.
  • Adjust the ECHO knob for the proper echo depth.
  • You can now use the microphone.

5. Wireless Connection (Bluetooth)

  • Connect compatible wireless devices (phone, computer, etc.) to play audio through the speaker.
  • Press the MODE button on the speaker or remote control to enter wireless mode, indicated on the LED display.
  • On your device, select "PBX-8122" in your Bluetooth settings to pair. A confirmation sound will play on the speaker upon successful pairing.

6. TWS Function (True Wireless Stereo)

This feature allows two PBX-8122 speakers to connect wirelessly for stereo sound.

  1. Turn on both speakers and switch them to Bluetooth mode. Ensure the display shows "Blue".
  2. Keep the distance between the two units within 50 CM (approx. 20 inches).
  3. Select one speaker as the host. Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds on the host speaker. A beep will indicate successful connection, and the slave speaker's USB display will show "BLUE" brightly.
  4. On your phone, turn on Bluetooth and connect to "QFX PBX-1212". The two speakers will automatically connect to each other.
  5. To disconnect TWS, press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds on either speaker.

Safety Precautions

  • Warning: Do not attempt to open the back cover or power adapter. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
  • The exclamation mark inside a triangle symbol (!) alerts users to important operating and maintenance instructions found in the accompanying literature.
  • The lightning flash with an arrowhead symbol inside a triangle symbol (⚡) alerts users to the presence of un-insulated "hazardous voltage" within the product enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to induce a risk of electric shock.
  • Pull out the power cord from the plug end; do not pull the wire.
  • Keep the speaker away from heat sources.
  • Do not open the speaker unit or change circuitry, as this may cause damage or electric shock.
  • If not using the unit for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Ensure the speaker is well-ventilated and kept in a dry location. Keep it approximately 4 inches away from walls or objects.
  • WARNING: Do not use this speaker in wet locations, in the rain, or in areas with high moisture. Do not place liquids or other objects on the speaker, as this may cause accidental short circuits.
