Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Access Point
Attach the mounting bracket (b) to the UniFi 6 Mesh Access Point (a). The bracket is designed to slide onto the device.
Step 2: Mount the Device
Option A: Wall Mounting
Use the mounting bracket base (c) as a template against the desired wall surface.
1. Mark Holes: Use a pencil (1) to mark the screw hole locations on the wall through the bracket base (c).
2. Drill Holes:
- Drill pilot holes using a Ø6mm (Ø1/4") drill bit (3).
- For larger holes or anchors, use a Ø18mm (Ø11/16") drill bit (4).
3. Secure Bracket Base: Insert wall anchors (e) if necessary. Attach the bracket base (c) to the wall using M3 mounting screws (d) and a screwdriver (6).
4. Connect Ethernet: Plug the Ethernet cable (i) into the port on the bracket base (c).
5. Attach Access Point: Connect the prepared UniFi 6 Mesh Access Point (a) to the mounted bracket base (c).
6. Secure Device: Use the M3 screw (f) and a screwdriver (5) to secure the access point to the bracket.
Option B: Pole Mounting
Attach the mounting bracket (b) to the pole using the provided cable ties (g). Ensure it is securely fastened.
Connect the prepared UniFi 6 Mesh Access Point (a) to the mounted bracket (b).
Secure the access point to the bracket using the M3 screw (f) and a screwdriver (5).
Step 3: Power and Network Connection
Connect the Ethernet cable (i) to the PoE Injector/Power Adapter (h).
Connect the PoE Injector/Power Adapter (h) to the UniFi 6 Mesh Access Point (a).
The device will power on and establish a network connection (indicated by ⚡ and ? icons).
Step 4: Setup and Management
Download the "UniFi Network" mobile application from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Follow the in-app instructions to discover, configure, and manage your UniFi 6 Mesh Access Point.
