WIRELESS SIGNAL REPEATER FUNCTIONS
The TRÅDFRI signal repeater expands the signal reach of your IKEA Home smart products.
Pairing
Add IKEA Home smart products to your system. See instructions below.
ADDING STEERING DEVICE TO YOUR SIGNAL REPEATER
If the Signal Repeater is sold with another IKEA Home smart product (in the same package), they are already paired.
You cannot add IKEA Home smart products directly to your signal repeater. A TRÅDFRI steering device is required.
To add steering devices, follow these steps:
- Ensure the signal repeater is plugged in and the main power is on.
- Place the steering device close to the signal repeater (within 5 cm).
- Press and hold the pairing button (located under the rear cover) for at least 10 seconds.
- A steady red light will appear on the steering device.
Then, approach the product you wish to control and repeat the pairing process. On your IKEA Home smart product, a white light will dim and flash once to confirm successful pairing.
FACTORY RESET YOUR DEVICE
For the wireless signal repeater: Use a pointed object to press the pinhole on the bottom of the signal repeater for at least 5 seconds.
After resetting, you must re-pair your steering device to the signal repeater, and then pair the steering device to your IKEA Home smart product.
IMPORTANT!
- The Signal Repeater is for indoor use only, within temperatures of 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
- To prevent overheating, keep the Signal Repeater away from direct sunlight, open flames, and heat sources.
- The operational range between the Signal Repeater and the receiver is measured in open air. Building materials and unit placement can affect wireless connectivity range.
WARNING:
- The wall socket must be near the equipment and easily accessible.
- Use only in dry locations.
- Children should be supervised to prevent them from playing with the product.
- If the product is damaged, it must be destroyed.
- Never use a damaged or faulty USB cable for charging, as it may damage the appliance and your electrical system.
