Product Description
The Megger EVCA210 and EVCA210-UK are compact and user-friendly adaptors designed to perform all essential tests for Mode 3 AC Electric Vehicle Charge-points, as required by electrical contractors. These adaptors comply with UK, European, and international wiring regulations and standards, including IEC/EN 61851-1 and IEC/HD 60364-7-722. They are suitable for use on single and three-phase EV charge points with appropriate connectors, ensuring the function and safety of the charging station. The adaptors simulate the connection of an electric vehicle, allowing the operator to initiate the charging process by selecting the correct Proximity Pilot (PP) and Control Pilot (CP) states. Testing should be performed during initial installation and periodically thereafter.
The adaptors feature a manual PE Pre-Test function to check for dangerous voltages on the PE conductor before other tests. If this test fails, further testing should cease until the PE fault is rectified. Additionally, manual tests include CP Error simulation (simulating a control pilot circuit error) and PE Error simulation (simulating a PE circuit disconnection), both designed to ensure correct output disconnection from the charge point.
