To find detailed information about tips, other accessories, and product usage please visit our website at www.waterpik.com. 7 GETTING STARTED/ CLEANING AND TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR WATERPIK� WATER FLOSSER Assembling the Reservoir Slide Water Flosser power handle into back of reservoir and press firmly to snap into place. Preparation and Use Refer to the Quick Start Guide for proper use instructions. Adjusting the Pressure Setting You can adjust the pressure setting on your Water Flosser by simply changing tips. When Finished Turn the unit off. Empty any liquid left in the reservoir. Using Mouthwash and Other Solutions Your Waterpik� Water Flosser can be used to deliver mouthwash and antibacterial solutions. After using any special solution, rinse unit to prevent clogging by partially filling reservoir with warm water and running unit with tip pointed into sink until unit is empty. Cleaning Never immerse unit in water. Before cleaning, unplug from the electrical outlet. Clean the product when necessary by using a soft cloth and mild non-abrasive cleanser to wipe exterior. The water reservoir is removable for easy cleaning and is top rack dishwasher safe. It is recommended that the reservoir is removed and cleaned weekly. To remove, flip the flip top water inlet all the way back and push it against the power handle, using the flip top as a lever. Removing Hard Water Deposits Add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to a full reservoir of warm water. Point the handle and tip into sink. Turn unit ON and run until reservoir is empty. Rinse by repeating with a full reservoir of clean warm water. Battery Care and Disposal The unit will NOT charge if the switch is in the ON position. If you use your Water Flosser once a day or less, it is recommended you charge it overnight, once a week. If you use it twice a day or more, charge the unit more frequently. Do not run the batteries down completely as this may ENGLISH 8 LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY shorten the lifespan of the batteries and will require charging the unit for 24 hours to obtain a full charge. If the Water Flosser is to be stored for an extended period of time (six months or more), be sure to fully charge it prior to storage. The unit contains a Nickel Metal Hydride battery. At the end of the battery life, please recycle the unit at your nearest recycle center per local or state requirements. The battery is not replaceable. Service Maintenance Waterpik� Water Flossers have no consumerserviceable electrical items and do not require routine service maintenance. For all your service needs go to www.waterpik.com. Apague el irrigador bucal y c�rguelo durante 24 horas antes de usarlo por primera vez. Enchufe el cable en cualquier contacto el�ctrico com�n. T�cnica recomendada Incl�nese hacia abajo sobre el lavabo y coloque el cabezal de irrigaci�n en la boca. Dirija el cabezal hacia los dientes y encienda la unidad. Para obtener mejores resultados, comience con los dientes posteriores y trabaje hacia los dientes frontales. Deslice el cabezal a lo largo de la l�nea de la enc�a y haga una Encendido 15 pausa breve entre los dientes. Despu�s de usar cualquier soluci�n especial, enjuague la unidad para evitar que se obstruya; llene el dep�sito parcialmente con agua tibia y ponga a funcionar la unidad con el cabezal hacia el lavabo, hasta que se vac�e la unidad. Limpieza Nunca sumerja la unidad en agua. Antes de la limpieza, desenchufe el producto del contacto el�ctrico. Para limpiar el exterior, limpie el producto con un pa�o suave y un limpiador suave no abrasivo cuando sea necesario. No deje que las pilas se descarguen por completo, ya que esto puede acortar la vida �til de las mismas y har� necesario cargar la unidad durante 24 horas, para obtener una carga completa. Si el irrigador bucal va a guardarse por un per�odo de tiempo prolongado (seis meses o m�s), cerci�rese de cargarlo por completo antes de guardarlo. La unidad contiene una pila de hidruro met�lico de n�quel.
