We are glad you have chosen to worship with us today!! ************************************************************************************************************ The flowers on the altar today are given to the Glory of God and in honor of all the students, teachers, faculty and staff as they return back to school. May they all have a safe and successful year! Given by Will, Meghan, Bear and Sarahjane Baxley. ************************************************************************************************************ Ministry Team Leaders meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, August 23, at 6:00 pm. ************************************************************************************************************ Your Favorite Hymn What are your three favorite hymns? If you did not get a form last Sunday to list your favorite hymns, there are some available on the table in the Narthex and in Fellowship Hall. We really want to hear from you. Place the form in the offering basket or bring by the church office. ************************************************************************************************************ Upper Room Devotionals The September/October copy of the Upper Room Daily Devotional are available on the table in the Narthex. ************************************************************************************************************ Birthday Celebration Thank you to everyone who has brought a birthday card for Mrs. Eloise Gholson. What a joy it is to help Mrs. Eloise celebrate her 98th birthday. We will get the cards to her son Kemp and he will take them to her. Forms are available in the Narthex and Fellowship Hall for your information. If you have family members listed in our directory, please check their information to see if it needs updating. Please have completed forms dropped into the offering plate or turned into the church office or to Kathryn Andrews by August 29, 2021. ************************************************************************************************************ Help for the People of Haiti The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is collecting donations to go toward helping the people of Haiti effected by the resent earthquake and storm. If you wish to contribute to this recovery effort earmark your donation "Haiti". To donate directly follow the link on the conference website www.flumc.org prayer and support for Haiti. Continue to pray for the people Haiti. ************************************************************************************************************ Charge Conference 2021 is scheduled for Sunday, October 24th at 4:00pm. At this time, it is scheduled to be held in person at Centenary UMC in Quincy.
