Introduction to AUTOTERM FC9
The AUTOTERM FC9 fan speed controller is designed for smooth fan speed control. It integrates seamlessly with AUTOTERM CHX heating matrices. Fan speed is adjusted using four sliders on the front panel. These sliders can be connected to a CHX heating matrix or individually to fans for precise control.
Power Requirement: The FC9 can be powered by any 12V power supply with a minimum capacity of 600W. ⚡
System Integration: In the BALTICA system, the power source via a relay can be either a FLOW 5 liquid heater or a CHM36 thermal fan controller.
Mounting Environment: The FC9 controller must be installed indoors where the humidity level does not exceed 65%. ?
Mounting Instructions: For mounting the FC9 controller, create a 147mm x 41mm opening and drill two Ø3mm holes as shown in Figure 1. Insert the controller into the opening and secure the front panel using the self-tapping screws provided in the kit. ?️
Figure 1 shows the mounting instructions for the FC9 controller. It requires a panel opening of 147mm x 41mm and two Ø3mm holes for mounting screws, as indicated in the diagram.
Electrical Connections
Refer to Figure 2 for the electrical connection diagram of the FC9 controller. For connecting the FC9 with an additional CHM36 thermal controller, see Figure 3.
The FC9 fan speed controller includes four wire extenders (50mm). It features a 3-pin connector (FC1) at the controller end and a 4-pin connector at the other. The 4-pin connector allows direct connection to the fans of CHX heater matrices.
ℹ️ To extend wires or connect other devices, cut the 4-pin connector and connect the wires according to the connection diagram.
Connection Diagram (Figure 2)
Figure 2 illustrates the electrical connection diagram for the FC9 controller. It details connections from a 12V DC power source (with a 10A fuse) through a relay (RS1) and heater harness. The diagram shows connections to four fans (labeled 'M'), each with a maximum load of 50W per channel. It includes details on wire colors (Black/white, Yellow, Black, Red) and the FC1 connector. A note indicates that in some cases, terminal 88 of RS1 may be designated as 87a.

Connection with CHM36 Thermal Controller (Figure 3)
Figure 3 presents the FC9 controller connection with an additional CHM36 thermal controller. It expands on Figure 2 by showing the MX1 connector on the controller side (with pins for 'Not used', 'GND', '+12V') and the FC1 connector (black) with pins for 'Ground black', 'Power black', and 'Not used'. The diagram also shows the connection to the CHM36 thermal controller.
