Service Overview
This service provides guided migration from on-premises Workspace ONE UEM to a dedicated, cloud-hosted SaaS solution. The project involves four phases: kickoff, test run, migration, and validation/wrap-up. VMware consultants offer support in migration planning, network architecture, pre-migration testing, and dedicated assistance during the migration, including reinstallation of integration components like ACC/UAG/SEG v2.
Service Assumptions
Key assumptions include that all on-premises UEM components must be on supported versions. The customer is responsible for ensuring EMM configurations and policy design align with VMware best practices, and for hardware procurement and installation. Work is conducted in English during typical business hours. Specifics regarding Active Directory group structure, client-provided SSL certificates, and rebuilding reports/dashboards on Intelligence are also detailed.
Completion Criteria
The project is considered complete upon fulfillment of all deliverables, consumption of 65 consulting hours, or passage of 12 weeks after initiation.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities are clearly defined between VMware (primary owner for delivery with minimal assistance) and the customer's project team (joint ownership or primary owner for specific tasks, with VMware providing assistance).
