Xiaomi Router AC1200 User Manual
Getting Started
Step 1: Connect the Cables
The diagram illustrates the Xiaomi Router AC1200 and its connections. A power adapter (?) is shown connected to a wall outlet and the router's power port. The router features three antennas. On the rear panel, ports labeled 'Internet' (WAN) and 'LAN' are visible. To the right, a DSL/Cable/Satellite modem is depicted, with its LAN port connected to the router's WAN port.
Power on the router, then connect the Internet (WAN) port to the DSL/Cable/satellite modem.
* If your Internet network is connected by a network cable via the Internet wall socket, connect the cable directly to the router's WAN port.
Step 2: Set Up the Network Connection
1. Connect to Wi-Fi
A mobile device screen displays WLAN settings, showing options like 'Turn on WLAN', 'Xiaomi_XXXX', and 'Xiaomi_XXXX_5G' (?).
Connect to the Wi-Fi using a phone or computer (no password required). Refer to the information on the bottom of the router for the Wi-Fi name.
* Wait until the system indicator light turns blue. Search for the Wi-Fi network and connect.
2. Access Configuration Page
A web browser interface shows 'router.miwifi.com' with a welcome message and a 'Start' button.
Once the Wi-Fi is connected, you will be directed to the configuration page. If the configuration page does not appear, open your browser and navigate to 'router.miwifi.com' or '192.168.31.1' to complete the configuration.
The Mi Router End-User License Agreement (EULA) is available at: http://www1.miwifi.com/router/eula/20191230.html
3. Enter Broadband Account Details
A setup screen prompts for 'Broadband account name' and 'Password', with a 'Next' button.
Enter the account name and password provided by your broadband provider, then click/tap 'Next'. The requirement for account name and password depends on your selected Internet Service Provider.
* If you have forgotten your broadband account name or password, contact your broadband provider.
4. Set Wi-Fi and Administrator Passwords
A 'Setting Wi-Fi' screen shows fields for 'Wi-Fi name' and 'Wi-Fi password', with a 'Next' button.
Set a new Wi-Fi and administrator password. You can choose to use your Wi-Fi password as your administrator password as well.
* Please wait until the indicator light turns blue and stops flashing, then reconnect to the Wi-Fi.
A 'Set admin password' screen allows setting the admin password, with an option to make it the same as the Wi-Fi password, and a 'Done' button.
The network is successfully configured ✔️
