Thank you for choosing the 2021 upgraded small wireless camera W-series. Please follow this manual to set up the camera.

I. Product Description

The W-series mini WiFi cameras include models W8 and W9, both compact and designed for discreet use. The W8 model features a circular lens housing with a textured edge, while the W9 model has a slightly different form factor with a prominent ON/OFF button on its side.

Camera Components (W8 & W9 Models)

Both W8 and W9 camera models feature the following key components:

  • ON/OFF Button: Used to power the camera on or off.
  • Reset Button: Used to restore the camera to its factory default settings.
  • Card Port: Slot for inserting a TF (Micro SD) card to save recording files. Supports up to 128GB (card not included).
  • Charging Port: Used to connect the camera to a power source for charging.

Camera Operation

  • ON/OFF: Press the ON/OFF button once to turn on the camera. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn it off.
  • Reset: Press and hold the Reset button for 6 seconds to reset the camera.
  • Card Port: Insert a TF card (maximum 128GB, not included) into the Card Port to save recording files.

II. APP Settings

1. Download the app "iWFCam"

To download the iWFCam app, scan the QR code provided in the manual or navigate to the download page. Select the appropriate installation package compatible with your phone system.

2. Camera-Phone Connection (AP Mode)

This mode allows direct connection between your phone and the camera's Wi-Fi hotspot.

  1. Press the ON/OFF button once to turn on the camera.
  2. On your phone, go to Settings > WLAN (Wi-Fi).
  3. Find the camera's hotspot signal, which will be named with "BK***" (e.g., BK1C4FA-...-5E2708). This hotspot does not require a password. Connect to it.
  4. If you are using an Android phone, a pop-up message may appear asking to "Confirm connection" or "Switch network" because the camera's hotspot does not provide internet access. Please keep connecting with the camera and select "Keep" or "Stay connected" if prompted.

Note: The camera-phone connection should be established within 5 meters for a strong signal.

AP Mode Connection Process

3. Camera-APP Remote Connection (IP Mode)

This mode allows you to control the camera remotely via your home router.

  1. After establishing the camera-phone direct connection (AP Mode), open the iWFCam app. The camera should automatically be added to the app and appear as "Online".
  2. Click the "Setting" icon (⚙️) next to the camera in the app.
  3. Navigate to "Wifi Config" within the advanced settings.
  4. Choose your router from the list of available networks and enter your router's network password.
  5. Wait for the camera to update its network connection. Once the camera shows "Online" again in the app, it means you have successfully set up remote control.

Note: The camera-router connection should be established within 5 meters for a strong signal.

IP Mode Connection Process

4. Camera Live-feed Page

Once connected, you can access the live feed and adjust camera settings.

  1. Click on the camera's main display in the iWFCam app.
  2. A pop-up message may appear recommending you change the default camera access password for security. You can choose to "SKIP" or "CHANGE" it based on your preference.
  3. After this, you will see the live feed from the camera. On this page, you can adjust various settings and access features, including:
    • Brightness adjustment
    • Night Vision control
    • Video Resolution selection (e.g., 720p)
    • Audio monitoring
    • Microphone activation
    • Video recording
    • Photo capture
