Speaker 8 English English 3 Product instructions Power on When the device is off, press and hold the MF button for 2 seconds. Purple light flashes once and the device turns on. When powered on for the first time, the device goes to pairing mode automatically. Power off When the device is on, press and hold the MF button for 3 seconds. Purple light flashes once and the device turns off. Pairing When the device is off, press and hold the MF button for 5 seconds. Blue and red light flash alternately. To complete the pairing, follow the instructions in your radio or mobile phone user guide. Select “Savox BTH-101” and use the passcode 0000. PTT calls Press and hold the PTT button to make a PTT call.* Phone calls Making a call Make calls with your phone as you normally would. The call will be connected to the device automatically. Answering a call Click the MF button. Ending a call Click the MF button. Rejecting a call Press and hold the MF button for 2 seconds. * In order to make PTT calls, a compatible PTT service in radio or mobile phone is required. 10 English English 11 3 Product instructions Vol + / Vol – Press the Volume + and Volume – buttons to adjust the volume. Mute / De-mute Press and hold the Volume + and Volume – buttons at the same time for 2 seconds. Dual pairing When the device is in pairing mode, press and hold enable the Volume + button for 2 seconds. Green light flashes once. The device turns off. Single pairing When the device is in pairing mode, press and hold enable the Volume – button for 2 seconds. Yellow light flashes once. The device turns off. Light indicator When the device is in pairing mode, press and hold enable the Main PTT button for 2 seconds. Blue and red light flash alternately. Light indicator disable When the device is in pairing mode, press and hold the Side PTT button for 2 seconds. Light turns off. DSP enable When the device is in pairing mode, press and hold the Volume + and Main PTT buttons at the same time for 2 seconds. You will hear a voice prompt: Enable DSP. DSP disable for When the device is in pairing mode, press and hold power saving the Volume – and Main PTT buttons at the same time for 2 seconds. You will hear a voice prompt: Disable DSP. Reset pairing When the device is in pairing mode, press the Volume + and Volume – buttons for 2 seconds. The device turns off. 12 English English 4 Light indicators Savox Promate Headset uses a Tri-color LED light (blue, red and green). It shows as purple when blue and red turn on at the same time. It shows as yellow when green and red turn on at the same time. Different light combinations represent different statuses. Powered, not connected Purple light flashes once. Red light flashes. Powering off Purple light flashes once. Device turns off. Connected Blue light flashes. Pairing mode Blue and red light flash alternately. Active phone call Green light flashes. Battery low Red light flashes. Charging battery Red light on. Charging completed Red light turns off and blue light flashes once. 13 14 English English 5 Care and maintenance Power Management If left unused a fully charged battery will discharge itself over time. This product is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be changed. Do not attempt to replace the battery – you may damage the battery, which could cause overheating and injury. Rechargeable battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. After a period of time that will vary depending on the conditions of use you may find that the built-in battery will power your product for only a couple of hours requiring you to charge it more frequently. The battery should be replaced only by SAVOX or a SAVOX Authorized Service Provider. Temperature extremes may affect the ability of the battery to charge. Always try to keep the device between 15 °C and 25 °C (59 °F and 77 °F). Leaving the device in hot or cold places, such as in a closed car in summer or winter conditions will reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. A device with a hot or cold battery may not work for a while even when the battery is fully charged. Battery performance is particularly limited in temperatures well below freezing. Do not charge in humid environment. Charge your device only using the charger provided in the original sales package. Unplug the charger when not in use. Do not leave the device connected to the charger for longer than necessary, since overcharging may shorten the battery lifetime. 15 16 English English 5 Care and maintenance • Do not sink the device in water or other liquid • • Do not expose the device to high temperatures for long periods of time. High temperatures can shorten the life time of electronic devices, damage the battery and warp or melt certain plastics Do not expose the device to sharp objects as this can cause scratches and damage • Do not put anything inside the device as this may damage internal components • Do not dismantle the device or the charger as neither contain serviceable parts. Disassembling the device may expose dangerous voltage levels or other hazards • Do not expose the device to low temperatures for long periods of time. After returning to normal temperatures, moisture can form inside the device and damage the electronic circuitry • Do not drop, knock or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and delicate mechanical parts • Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning agents or strong detergents, when cleaning the device • Use a soft, clean and dry cloth to clean lenses, LCD faces and other similar surfaces that scratch easily 17 18 English English 5 Care and maintenance Health and Safety Information WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire,electric shock,or other injuries,or damage to your device or other property. Carga completa La luz roja se apaga y la luz parpadea en azul una vez. 39 40 Español Español 41 5 Cuidado y mantenimiento Gestión de la energía Este producto funciona con una batería recargable incluida que no se puede cambiar. No intente reemplazar la batería. La batería recargable puede cargarse y descargarse cientos de veces, pero acabará estropeándose. Después de un período de tiempo que variará según el uso y las condiciones de uso, notará que la batería incluida sólo proporcionará energía a su producto durante un par de horas, necesitando que la cargue más a menudo.
