Mi3c E-Passport Reader (MRZ, Smartcard)
MRz is Mi3(3M Cogent handheld device)’s plug-in module and it is easy-touse. It scans electronic passports and provides you with the passport image
and data into Mi3’s database and Mi3 Extracts passport's information data
like passport image and face image. Data and images scanned by MRz can be
sorted, retrieved, printed on and through MI3. It is easily and automatically
exported to various applications, emailed, and sent to an FTP or web address
directly from within the program. It only need few seconds per scan and No
external power needed.
MRz has an RF module works at 13.56MHz. This part is made for reading IC
in passport. After swipe the barcode of passport and put passport IC side
close to the RF reader, MRz quickly analysis the data and read out the data
before showing the data through MI3.

Please refer to the pictures and follow steps to use it.
1 installs MI3 Passport Reader Module to Mi3. (Connect the interface ‘24pin’)
2 Starting up Mi3 and enterring into the MRz reader interface. (This is the
step of using MI3, do not detail here)
3 swipe the magnetic _stripe in the swipe slot and wait for the software
analysis.
4 put the passport close to the RF part and then you can see data shows in
MI3.

receiver is connected.
-- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
