Crime Doesn’t Pay
with ESP
In San Diego, CA, a lone robber enters a bank, taking off
with almost $2,000. The teller included the ESP tracking
device in with the other cash. As the robber flees, the ESP
system automatically notifies local law enforcement and
officers are on their way. Within minutes, the suspect is
apprehended and police make a full recovery of the money.
ESP it works!

User Instructions
Keep your ESP device on its base plate
at all times!
The ESP device rests in the teller’s
cash drawer or the vault on a base plate.
This base plate keeps the device turned
off and preserves battery life.
If the device accidentally moves off the plate,
it will turn on and begin to notify police.
To turn the device off, simply place it back
on the base plate.
Never handle or remove the ESP device from the base
plate unless giving it to a robber or directed to do so
by your Supervisor or Security Officer.
Always transport the ESP device on a base plate in the
cash drawer or on a spare base plate.
Never hand strapped cash to a customer.
It could be an ESP device.
Maintenance Information
Changing the Cash Strap
A new cash strap must be attached while keeping the device in the cash drawer and on the base plate.
It is important to keep the ESP device on the base plate at all times because the plate prevents the device
from turning on and notifying police.
Transporting the ESP Device
If the cash drawer is placed in a vault at night,
the device must remain on the base plate in
the drawer or tray. Always transport and store
the drawer in a flat, horizontal position, so the
device cannot tilt or fall off its base plate.
Battery Maintenance
The battery is replaced annually by 3SI. No
testing or maintenance is required by you.
3SI recommends that
you DO NOT stamp the
secure strap on the device.
If You Are Robbed
Simply remove the device from its base
plate and hand it out with the other cash.
The device will automatically turn on, notify
police and begin silently tracking the robber.
It’s that easy!
