INTRODUCTION
Thank you for the purchase of ADI‘s MicroScan GT56/056 color monitor!
MicroScan GT56/GSG offers a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 at 75111
and is a high-contrast color monitor that addresses and satisfies the needs of
business, desktop publishing and CAD/CAM users. The user’s manual
offers complete information for better understanding of installation and
operation.
Features
17-inch (16-inch viewable image) microprocessor— based display.
Plug and Play functionality automatically adjusts the monitor to its
optimum performance.
The VESA DPMS-compliant power-saving feature automatically
powers down the monitor afler a user-defined period of inactivity,
All parameters in each of the display modes reside in the
microprocessor-based control system Settings are built in for
existing VGA standards, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024 and
1600 x 1200 modes.
EasyScreen'“ allows onAscreen easy adjustment of Horizontal
Size/Position, Vertical Size/Position, Pincushion, Pin Balance,
Trapezoid, Parallelogram, Tilt, Horizontal Moire, Vertical Moire,
Color Adjustments, H-Convergenee, V—Convergenee, Degauss,
Languages, Power Saver, Display Mode, Serial Number, Master
Reset, USB Hot Key, Factory Reset, Comer, V-Linearity and H-
Linearity.
BuiIt-in microphone picks up voice for teleconferencing and voice
recognition applications.
MicroScan GT56 adopts new Trinitron” CRT and anti-reflection
surfaeetreatment to perform outstanding quality image and suits for

GETTING STARTED
Installing the Assembly Base
Slot
Put the labeled hooks onto the corresponding slots on the bottom ofdre " "
monitor. Push down and forward the base
Removing the Assenbly Base
Push down the lock located between it] and {$5 and remove the base by
Iifiing up the base.
Connecting your monitor
1. Tum off the power of your computer and other devicest
2. With the monitor switched off, attach (D the power cord to the
monitor and then to a grounded power outlet.
3. Connect ® the microphone cable one end to the rear of your
monitor and the other end to the back of your computer.
4. Connect ® the video signal cable of the monitor to the lS-pin
connector of the video port in your computer.
5. Tum on the monitor and computer The monitor will not function
during a power failure.
6. lf necessary, adjust the front panel controls accordingly to your
personal preference.

color temperature.
Step 3: Once you see RIG/B block in blinking, use <+> or <-> key to

Factory Reset is to reset the on-screen parameters to its factory settings
The default is Cancel.
Step 1: Use <+> or <-> key to select between Reset/Cancel.
Step 2: Press  key to reset/cancel and return to the main
menu.

POWER CONSUMPTION
The monitor comes with a power saving feature that controls the power
consumption of the monitor; therefore, you may put the monitor into a
reduced power consumption state when it is not in use. This feature
complies with both EPA‘s Energy Star requirements and European
NUTEK/TCO’s power management guidelines. It conforms with Video
Electronics Standard Association (VESA) approved DPMS power-down
signaling method.
