For your safety
Important notice you need to know before accessing this receiver. Please read and
understand this manual before using the receiver.

This receiver should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on
the back label If you are not sure of the type of power available, consult your
dealer or local power company.
Pulling the power supply cord will disconnect the device, the socket-outlet shall be
installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible Always disconnect
power supply cord before servicing.
This receiver should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat register. Do
not allow the receiver to be exposed to hot, cold, or humid conditions.
Do not attempt to service this receiver yourself, as opening or removing the
receiver cover may cause the damage to the receiver Refer all servicing to
service personnel
Unplug this receiver from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service
personnel under the following conditions -
0 When the power cord or plug is damaged or frayed
e If liquid has been spilled into the receiver
0 If the receiver has been exposed to rain or water
- If the receiver does not operate normally when the operating instructions are

you install the receiver and how to operate remote control.

need to read this section carefully in order to access and explore DVS-SZI.

Digital satellite receiver offers satellite video/audio broadcasting service and has the
capacity to receive one hundred transponder signals and three hundred channels.
The easy-accessed on—screen setup is designed to help you to install basic setups and
use channel list on your TV screen.
With the receiver, you may get to enjoy free-to-air channels of satellite broadcasting
channels.

The front panel includes the following function keys:

Puts the decoder into standby mode or take it out of
standby
The Arrows keys are used to move up and down the
menu. The OK key is for confirming any highlighted
options in the menu, The 4 / b keys can also be used
for volume adjustment, and A / v arrow keys for moving
up and down within the menu
Displays the main menu when it is not activated on your
V screen or vis versa.
Lights up when the decoder is at operating mode.

Remote Control Keys
When using the unit, one touch of following buttons for quick services.

@ INFO: Displays information of the
current channel like channel number, channel
name and service provider.
® POWER standby: Puts the receiver into
standby mode or take it out of standby.
@ Volume (+/-): To adjust the volume.
@ Channel (+/-): To step up and down the
channels (“+“ for next channel, — for
preceding channel).
(5 Number keys: To select different
channels and to input numbers in menu.
© MUTE: To mute the sound,
@ EXIT: To quit the current menu and
other information from the screen or AV
mode
Arrow keys/ 0K: The Arrows keys
(A,v,<,>) are used to move up and down or
lefl and right the menu, OK key is for
confirming highlighted options in the menu.
Each of the four arrow keys also represents a
one touch menu pop-out function outside the
OSD menu.
A key: Displays Audio Selection menu, (See

v key: Switches between VCR and SAT (See

Operation of the Receiver
Make sure all connection to the decoder is properly installed.
Quick Tips on Useful Buttons
Press key to display the channel you watched before it
was turned off If power on for the first time, the receiver will show
the main menu for installation
Select channels by using the Channel <+/—> key on the remote control.
Adjust volume by using the Volume <+/-> key. While adjusting
channel or volume, the volume and channel bar will be displayed the
screen.

Use Number buttons (0-9) to tune to a channel directly.

The channel number will be shown at the upper right hand corner
on your TV screen
If wrong channel number has been keyed in, an on-screen warning

Press OK key to exit this message and key-in the correct channel
number you would like to watch.
a TV/RADIO Channel
When TV/RADIO key on remote controll is pressed while your
television is in TV program, and if there is no radio program at the
moment, you will see an on-screen message as below
No Radio Program
Press OK to exit this message.
- Channel information
Step 1. Press INFO key to give short information of the
program
“ Servie name (eg. HBO)
* Channel number (e.g. CH 25)
* Whether it‘s a Scrambled program (e.g a Pay program) or not
* Indicating current Favorite Group
* TV or Radio mode
Step 2‘ Press EXIT to quit the menu.
