2,4. BATTERY Compartment
The BATTERY madman: is located on the back of the reader. When you do
not intend to use the reader for an extended period at time. romuva me baflery

2.5. BATTERY Charger
The Power TracKer comes equipped with an AVID NiMH battery charger. The
charger will charge the AVID NIMH battery in M 1016 hours. lt is recommended
that each new bartery be iulty charged.
To charge an AVlD NiMH battery. inspect the charger“: insure that no foreign
materials are in the charging area or on the eharglng contacts. Connadtha
transformer to the charger and plug in. The lighten the chargerwlll begin in
pulse. Place the battery. pcsitive anode and fllsl (Figure 3). into the top of the
charger. The Ilght will stop pulsing. After appmxtmalely 2 hours, the Ilght Will
begin to pulse again. This indicates that me charger is operating nonnaliy. it does
not mean the battery is fully charged. The battery will need to be charged an
additional 12 {1014 hours.
Qaurion: Do not use around water. Do not allow the chargurtu gel Wet. Keep the
charger on a clean. dry area and lnsure that dirt, dust and brelgn objects are

Power Adapter (AVIDAOD‘I) Tu use a 08725 cannecinr. use a cummemlally

The AVID Interface/Power cable ls 5 feet ln length. You may add addilinnal cable
to the PC side by uslng the Iollowmg connection chart.
