FCC regulations
English
This mobile device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2)
this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation.
This mobile device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
If this equipment does cause interference to radio and television encouraged to try to
correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the euipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which
the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
RF exposure warning
The equipment complies with FCC RF exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled
environment.
The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not be co-located or operating in
conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter
FCC RF exposure information (SAR)
This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for
exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications
Commission of the U.S. Government.
The exposure standard for wireless devices employs a unit of measurement known as
the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg.
Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR
level of the device while operating can be well below the maximum value.
English
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various devices
and at various positions, they all meet the government requirements.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model device with all
reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with the FCC RF exposure
guidelines. SAR information on this model device is on file with the FCC and

Canada regulatory compliance
This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s).
fonctionnement.
This Class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003.
Canada. This Category II radio communication device complies with Industry
Canada Standard RSS-310.
CNR-310 d’Industrie Canada.
Important note
Note: The country code selection feature is disabled for products marketed in
the US/Canada.
RF Radiation Exposure Statement:
For body worn operation, this phone has been tested and meets RF exposure guidelines
when used with an accessory that contains no metal and that positions the handset a
minimum of 1.0 cm from the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance
with RF exposure guidelines.
Exposure of humans to RF fields (RSS-102)
The computers employ low gain integral antennas that do not emit RF field in
excess of Health Canada limits for the general population; consult Safety Code 6,
obtainable from Health Canada's Web site at http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/
The radiated energy from the antennas connected to the wireless adapters
conforms to the IC limit of the RF exposure requirement regarding IC RSS-102,
Issue 4 clause 4.1.
Caution: Exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation.
To comply with RSS 102 RF exposure compliance requirements, a separation distance of
at least 20 cm must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons.

into the battery, immerse or expose to water or other liquids, or
expose to excessive
heat, fire, or other hazard. Only use the battery in the system for which
it was specified.
•
Only use the battery with a charging system that has been qualified with the
system per this standard.
Use of an unqualified battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion,
leakage,or other hazard.
Do not short-circuit a battery or allow metallic or conductive objects to
contact the battery terminals.
Replace the battery only with another battery that has been qualified with
the system per this standard.
Promptly dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Battery usage by children should be supervised.
Avoid dropping the host or battery. If the host or battery is dropped,
especially on a hard surface, and the end user suspects damage, take it to a
service center for inspection.

This device have been tested to comply with the Sound Pressure Level
requirement laid down in the applicable EN 50332-1 and/or EN 50332-2 standards.
Note: For France, mobile headphones or earphones for this device have been
tested to comply with the Sound Pressure requirement laid down in the applicable
NF EN 50332-1:2000 and/or NF EN 50332-2:2003 standards as required by
French Article L. 5232-1.
CAUTION when listening
To protect your hearing, follow these instructions.
• Increase the volume gradually until you can hear clearly and comfortably.
• Do not increase the volume level after your ears have adjusted.
• Do not listen to music at high volumes for extended periods.
• Do not increase the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
• Decrease the volume if you can’t hear people speaking near you.
R&TTE Certificate Information (SAR)
The unit of measurement for the European Council's recommended limit for mobile
devices is the "Specific Absorption Rate" (SAR). This SAR limit is 2.0 W/kg, averaged
over 10 g of body tissue. It meets the requirements of the International Commission on
Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). The maximum SAR value is calculated at
the highest output level in all frequency bands of the mobile device.
For body worn operation, this device has been tested and meets the ICNIRP exposure
guidelines and was included in the European Standard EN 62311 and EN 62209-2 for

use with accessories that contain no metal and that position the device a minimum of
1.5 cm from the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with
ICNIRP exposure guidelines.
During use, the actual SAR level is usually much lower than the maximum value,
because the mobile device works in different output levels. It only transmits with as
much output as is required to reach the network.
