To cause the sensorto transmit, remove the battery pull tab. For additional transmissions, lightly tap on the base of thesensor.2) Determine mounting location. For best sensitivity, the sensor should be mounted in one inch fromthe edge of the window.3) Verify range by holding the sensor in the approximate mounting location and tapping on the base. The panel (in test mode) should respond to the transmissions. If not, find a more suitable mountinglocation.4) Clean the glass, where the sensor is to be mounted, with a mixture water and isopropyl alcohol.Once the glass is dry remove the tape backing paper and firmly press the sensor in the desiredmounting location.5) Verify operation by striking the opposite edge of the window with the handle of a screwdriver –check for trip at alarm panel.SpecificationsGlass coverage:Plate, Laminate, and Tempered, up to ¼” thick and 10’ distance from mounting location.Unit Dimensions:1.6” (40.64mm) x 1.6” (40.64mm) x 0.8” (20.32mm)Battery:Panasonic CR2, Sanyo CR2, and Duracell DLCR2.ADEMCOGROUP165 Eileen Way, Syosset NY 11791Copyright© 2001 Pittway CorporationRefer to the installation instructions for the receiver/control with which this device is used for warrantyinformation, and details regarding the limitations of the entire alarm system.FCC StatementFCC ID: CFS8DL5800SS1This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
