ADEMCO 5802CP BELT CLIP TRANSMITTER
INSTALLATION AND SETUP GUIDE
About The 5802CP:
The ADEMCO 5802CP is a belt clip style
Emergency wireless transmitter that may
be worn on a belt or carried in a pocket or
purse. Pressing the button on the
transmitter (for at least one second) will
send an alarm signal to the control
receiver. The 5802CP is intended for use
only with wireless alarm systems that
support 5800 series devices. The control
receiver’s response to the 5802CP signal
can be set for either 24-hour audible
alarm
or 24-hour silent alarm by appropriate
programming of the control receiver. The
5802CP is powered by a non replaceable
Lithium battery designed to provide long
life. The entire 5802CP should be
replaced when a low battery condition is
indicated by the control unit.
Programming The Serial Number:
The 5802CP has a unique identification code
(serial number) permanently assigned during
manufacture. You must enroll the transmitter’s
serial number into the control panel. All
5802CP transmitters shall be programmed as
“BR” type units (i.e., unsupervised “Button
RF”).
Note: During the enrollment procedure, two
transmissions must be sent (by pressing the
button). Allow at least 8-seconds between
transmissions. See the control panel’s
Installation and Setup Guide for further
details regarding possible zone
responses and programming.
