SUPERVISED MINIATURE
TRANSMITTER
INSTALLATION AND SETUP GUIDE
The ADEMCO 5802WXT is a wireless transmitter that may be worn
around the neck, on a wrist band or as an apparel clip that may
also may be mounted to a desk, dresser, etc. (necklace, band, and
clip supplied). Pressing the button on the transmitter sends a signal
to the control receiver. The 5802WXT is intended for use only with
wireless alarm systems that support 5800 Series devices.
The transmitter is supervised, i.e., it automatically sends a
message to the control receiver that includes battery status
information every 70-90 minutes.
This transmitter can be programmed as any zone type response
(e.g., Emergency Panics, Relay Action, etc.).
Battery Replacement
The 5802WXT is powered by a long-life Lithium battery that may be
replaced when a low battery is eventually indicated by the control
unit.
NOTE: Although water-resistant, please do not immerse in water
at a depth below 10cm for more than 1 hour.
Programming the Serial Number
The 5802WXT has a unique identification code (serial number)
permanently assigned during manufacture.
You must “enroll” the transmitter’s serial number and loop number
during system programming. The 5802WXT may be defined as
Input Type “RF” (supervised RF, for an hourly check-in; do not take
out of range) or “UR” (Unsupervised RF). Its loop number is “1.”
See the control unit’s Installation Instructions for further details
regarding programming. When installation is complete, verify
operation from desired location(s).

1. Remove 4 screws and lift off cover.
2. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver
remove old battery.
3. Insert new battery by placing new
battery under the gold tab and then
pressing down. Ensure the POS +
side of battery is face up after
installation.
4. Align cover and attach with 4
screws.

INSTALLATION AND SETUP GUIDE
The ADEMCO 5802WXT-2 is a wireless transmitter that may be
worn around the neck, on a wrist band or as an apparel clip that

same time sends a signal to the control receiver. The 5802WXT-2
is intended for use only with wireless alarm systems that support
