Silencer products have been designed to provide the consumer with years of trouble-free operation.This manual will provide reference for the operation and maintenance of your new Silencer vehicleimmobilizer system. Please, take a moment to read this manual so you will be familiar with the opera-tion of your new system.Automatic ArmingOnce you have turned the ignition key to the “Off” position, your Silencer engine immobilizer willbecome armed within 30 seconds. Upon arming, the device will emit 1 soft chirp. Turning the igni-tion back on before 30 seconds will stop the timer and reset it. Note: If your system was supplied with an “Automatic Disarm Transmitter”, you will need to leavethe vicinity of your vehicle (approx. 60 feet) before the automatic arming function will execute.(Remaining in close proximity of your vehicle could prevent it from arming). The distance require-ment may prevent you from hearing the soft arming chirp. DisarmValet OnValet Off3-Button Transmitter23-Button Transmitter: When you return to your vehicle to start the engine, press the “Disarm” but-ton on the 3-button transmitter. When the system is disarmed, the device will emit 2 chirps indi-cating it’s disarmed. 1-Button Transmitter: When you return to your vehicle to start the engine, press the transmitter but-ton. When the system is disarmed, the device will emit 2 chirps indicating it’s disarmed. Manual Disarming1-Button Automatic Disarm Transmitter1-Button Transmitter1-Button Automatic Disarm Transmitter: When you return to your vehicle, at some point, betweena distance of approx. 60 feet and the time you insert your ignition key to start the engine, the auto-matic disarm transmitter will disarm your system. Once disarmed, the device will emit 2 softchirps. No action is required by the operator. Note: In areas of high radio frequency noise, the automatic disarm function of the transmitter mayget blocked and not disarm your system. In this event, press the transmitter button to perform amanual disarm. Automatic Disarming (Automatic Disarm Transmitter Required)Note: Depending on the type of consumer transmitter package your dealer provided you with, youmay have each one of the transmitters pictured above, or two of the same type transmitter.Confirm this with your dealer. 4900-UM.qxp  4/1/05  16:19  Page 2
