Silencer®automotive security products have beendesigned to provide the consumer with a product that is technologically superior and will provide years oftrouble free operation.The information enclosed will provide a ready reference of the operation and maintenance of your newSilencer®security system. The operating instructions enclosed are for different security system models.Many of the functions are similar between the models but be sure to follow the instructions that pertain toyour model security system only. If you are not sure of the model of your security system, contact your cardealer finance department and ask for the model number.Remote Control Transmitters“Using the Transmitter to Arm the Security System”1. Exit the vehicle and close all entrances.2. Press and release the button on the transmitter. The security system will respond as follows:A. The horn/siren will chirp one time. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P but isan option for 6904(A))B. The LED indicator will begin to flash at a steady rate.C. The parking lights will flash one time. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P butis an option for 6904(A))D. The starter is deactivated which prevents the engine from being started.E. All protected entrances are armed. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P)F.The horn/siren will sound one additional time if the vehicle has delayed interior lights that stay on afterthe door is closed. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P, 7921P but is an option for 6904(A))The security system is now fully armed!The Silencer security systems can operate from any one of the four transmitters shown here. Note: The following information is valid only if your security system has been programmed toautomatically arm. Check with your car dealer if you are unsure.1. Turn off the ignition key and exit the vehicle.6904(A):Upon turning off the ignition key, the LED indicator will begin to flash fast. The fast flashing LED indicatesthat the automatic arming timer is counting down and the security system will become armed within 30seconds. After 30 seconds has passed, the security system will respond in the following manner:A. The flashing LED will slow down to the normal armed flashing speed.B. The optional beeper will beep one time.C. The optional parking light flasher will flash the parking lights one time.D. The starter will become deactivated and the engine will not start.6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P, and 7921P:Close all protected entrances. After the last protected entrance is closed the horn/siren will chirp onetime and the LED indicator will begin to flash fast. The fast flashing LED indicates that the automaticarming timer is counting down and the security system will become armed within 30 seconds. After 30seconds has passed, the security system will respond in the following manner:Note 1: Re-opening a protected entrance before the system becomes armed will stop the arming timer.After closing the entrance the timer will begin counting again from zero.Note 2: If the vehicle has a delayed interior lighting system, the automatic arming timer will startcounting after the interior lighting has turned itself off. This could add up to 45 seconds to the totalautomatic arming countdown time. (Up to 75 seconds total arming delay)A. The horn/siren will chirp one time.B. The LED indicator will begin to flash slower.C. The parking lights will flash one time.D. The starter will become deactivated and will prevent the engine from starting.E. All protected entrances are armed.The security system is now fully armed!3Automatic Arming (Without Using the Transmitter)1. Press and release the button on the transmitter. The security system will respond as follows:A. The horn/siren will chirp two times. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only, but is an option on 6904(A))B1.The LED indicator will be off. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only)B2.The LED indicator will be flashing very fast. (Applies to 6904(A) only)C.The parking lights will flash two times. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only,but is an option on 6904(A))Note 1: If you are disarming the security system after it has been triggered and the horn/siren is sounding,the disarm chirps are automatically deleted. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A),6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only)Note 2: The optional 6945PET passive transmitter will automatically disarm the system and unlock thedoors (if equipped) as you approach your vehicle. This action is automatic without depressing any buttonson the transmitter. To activate the passive disarm feature slide the on/off switch to the “on” position. Toturn off the passive disarm feature slide the switch to the “off” position. 4Removable Valet/Override Switch OperationOverride Operation: (Security System is Armed)1. Enter the vehicle (6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921Psecurity systems will begin sounding at this point) and place theoverride switch into the switch housing. Make sure that the switchbutton is in the “off” position2. Place the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn the ignitionswitch to the “on” position.3. Within 5 seconds of turning the ignition key “on”, place the valet switchto the “on” position.4. The horn/siren will stop sounding. (6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919Pand 7921P only)5. The LED indicator will be solid red.The security system is overridden and is now in the valet mode!Note 1: If the valet switch is already in the “on” position when you turn “on” the ignition key, the overridefunction will be bypassed. Turn “off” the ignition key, place the valet switch in the “off” position and try again.Note 2: If you fail to place the valet switch to the “on” position within 5 seconds of turning “on” theignition key, the override function will be locked out. Place the valet switch in the “off” position, turn “off”the ignition key and try again. Valet Operation: (The security system is already disarmed)1. Place the valet switch into the switch holder making sure that the switch button is in the “off” position.2. Turn the ignition key to the “on” position3. Within 5 seconds of turning the ignition key “on”, place the valet switch to the “on” position.4. The LED will be on solid indicating that the security system is in the valet mode.Note 1: If the valet switch is already in the “on” position when you turn “on” the ignition key, the valetfunction will be bypassed. Turn “off” the ignition key, set the valet switch to the “off” position and try again.Note 2: If you fail to push “in” the valet switch within 5 seconds of turning “on” the ignition key, the valetfunction will be locked out. Turn “off” the ignition key, set the switch to the “off” position and try again.Caution: Be careful and not to bend the override switch pins when put it intothe housing. Also note the the override switch can only go into the housingone way. See diagram to note shape of housing."Off"Position "On"PositionTo provide a higher level of protection, all Silencer®security systems are supplied with the patentedremovable valet switch system. The removable valet switch is used to override the security system in theevent that the transmitters are lost or fail to operate and to put the security system in non-operationalmode (valet) for vehicle servicing etc. 7955UM 2/21/05 4:22 PM Page 4
5Remote Panic(Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P, 7921P only, but is an option on 6904(A))Press and hold the button for more than 3 seconds and the security system will respond in thefollowing manner:A. The horn/siren will begin sounding.B. The parking lights will begin flashing. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only,but is an option on 6904(A))To turn off the panic alarm, press and release the button on the transmitter. The horn/siren will stopsounding and the parking lights will stop flashing.Note 1: If you do not turn off the panic feature with the transmitter, the panic alarm will sound for 60seconds and then turn off by itself..Note 2: (6904(A) Only) For remote panic to operate an optional status indicator must have been installed..Note 3: (6904(A) Only) For flashing lights to operate an additional module must have been installed.Note 4: (6915K3 Only) The panic button on this transmitter is the button and uses the same procedurefor operation as the button on the other transmitters.User Discretion Silent Arming (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P Only)Your Silencer®security system can be instructed to become armed or disarmed without the horn/siren chirps bythe remote transmitter. To operate this feature at any time, simply press the ARM button and the DISARM buttonat the same time. The combination of the two signals will instruct the security system to arm or disarm silently.60 Second Re-Arming: (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P Only)If your Silencer®security system has become triggered, the horn/siren will sound for 60 seconds and then stopand re-set to a fully armed condition.Note: If a protected entrance is left open, your Silencer®security system will remain triggered for two more 60second cycles then fully re-arm excluding the door input trigger. (Door input trigger is no longer functional)Closing the entrance will re-set the door input trigger within 7 seconds.Removable Valet/Override Switch Operation (continued)How to Get Back to Security System Activation Mode:1. Place the ignition key switch to the “on” position.2. Place the valet switch to the “off” position.3. Place the ignition key switch back to the “off” position. You will notice that the LED indicator will beoff. This indicates that you have exited the valet mode and your Silencer®will operate normally.4. Remove the valet switch.Secondary RF Protection ModeEvery time you disarm your Silencer®security system with your transmitter, the security system will start an RFprotection mode countdown. This is a timed secondary protection mode to insure that the radio signal used todisarm the security system was from your transmitter. After the system is disarmed by radio signal, it willcount down for 60 seconds and then become re-armed if no one enters the vehicle.Note 1: This feature is automatic and not deletable on the 6904(A)model security system.Note 2: The feature is only active when 6908(A), 6918(A),6928(A), 7919P or 7921P has been programmedto automatically arm.7955UM 2/21/05 4:22 PM Page 5
61. The LED indicator will provide information on 7 modes of security system operation:LED is off = Security system is disarmed. (All Models)LED is flashing = Security system is armed. (All Models)LED is flashing fast = Automatic arming timer or RF protection mode timer is counting down. (All Models)LED is on steady = Alarm is in the valet mode. (Ignition key is “on”)LED flashes once every 5 seconds = Alarm is in the valet mode. (Ignition key is “off”)LED is flashing in a 2 flash-pause sequence = Tamper warning - security system has been trigger fromthe hood/trunk switch or electronic sensor. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P Only) LED is flashing in a 3 flash-pause sequence = Tamper warning - security system has been triggered from an opened door. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P Only) 2. The horn/siren will provide information on 3 modes of security system operation:One horn/siren chirp = Security system is armed. (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P, but is an option for 6904(A))Two horn/siren chirps = Security system is disarmed.(Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P, 7921P, but is an but is an option for 6904(A))Four horn/siren chirps = Tamper warning + security system is disarmed. (Applies to 6908(A),6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P only)Alarm Mode IndicatorsUpgrade Options Available From Your Car Dealer (At an Additional Cost)Option #1: Remote Power Door Lock/Unlock Control (All Models)Note: Your vehicle must have an electronic door locking system for this feature to operate.Installing option #1 will allow the remote transmitter supplied with your Silencer®security system to lock andunlock your vehicle’s doors as it arms and disarms your security system.Option #2: Dome Light Illumination (All Models except 7919P)Installing option #3 will allow your Silencer®security system to turn on your vehicles interior illuminationsystem at the time the security system is disarmed by the remote transmitter. The interior lighting will remainon for 30 seconds after the security system is disarmed. Turing on the ignition key will turn off the interiorillumination before 30 seconds.Option #3: Chirping Status Indicator (Applies to 6904(A)Only)Installing option #3 will give the 6904(A)security system an audible chirp to indicate when it is armed ordisarmed.Option #4: Flashing Parking Light Status Indicator (An Option for 6904(A), Standard on 6908(A), 6918(A),6928(A), 7919P and 7921P)Installing option #4 on your 6904(A)security system will allow the 6904(A)to flash the parking lights in twodifferent sequences that indicate system armed and system disarmed conditions.7955UM 2/21/05 4:22 PM Page 6
7Programmable Features (Available to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A), 7919P and 7921P Security Systems)(Contact your car dealer for adjustment of these features)Ignition Key Controlled Door Lock/ Unlock: (Remote door lock/unlock option must be installed)With this feature activated, the door lock system of the vehicle will become locked 3 seconds after the ignitionkey is turned to the on position (All doors). When the ignition key is turned to the off position, the door lockswill immediately become unlocked (All doors).Note: If the “unlock drivers door first” option has been installed, only the drivers door will become unlockedwhen the ignition key is turned off.Chirp Status Indicator Delete:De-activating the chirp indication system will eliminate the arm and disarm chirp indicators. For your safety,the tamper warning chirp indicator will always be active.Automatic Arming of Security System:When the automatic arming of security system feature is programmed on, the security system willautomatically become armed 30 seconds after the last protected entrance is closed without requiring a signalfrom the remote transmitter. (Ignition switch must be off)Automatic Door Locking: (Remote door lock/unlock option must be installed) If it is desired to have the vehicle’s power door locking system become locked at the same time the securitysystem becomes armed by the automatic arming of security system feature, the automatic door lockingprogramming should be on.Upgrade Options Available From Your Car Dealer (At an Additional Cost) (Continued)Option #5: Unlock Driver’s Door First (Requires option #1 to be installed and applies to 6908(A), 6918(A),6928(A) and 7921Ponly)Installing option #5 will allow your Silencer®security system to unlock only the driver’s door upon disarmingthe security system. To unlock the remaining doors, press the ARM button once again within 3 seconds ofdisarming the security system.Option #6: Dual Zone Shock Sensor (Applies to 6908(A), 6918(A), 6928(A),7919P, and 7921P Only)Installing option #6 will increase the level of security provided by your Silencer security system. Zone #1 ofthe dual zone shock sensor will detect lighter non-threatening disturbances that would normally set off mostsensors and trigger the security system. If zone #1 is activated the security system will emit a single chirpfrom the horn/siren. This single chirp is a pre-warning if a would be thief is attempting to enter your vehicle.Zone #2 detects heavier impacts that are considered threatening and immediately triggers your securitysystem by sounding the horn/siren and flashing the parking lights.7955UM 2/21/05 4:22 PM Page 7

Silencer®or itsauthorized agents will within 3 years from the date of sale to you, repair or replace said product or any partthereof, at the option of the Silencer®or its authorized agents, if said product or part is found defective inmaterials or workmanship, when properly connected and operating on the correct power requirementsdesignated for the specific product. This warranty and Silencer®or its authorized agents obligationshereunder do not apply where the product was; damaged while in the possession of the consumer, subjectedto unreasonable or unintended use, not reasonably maintained, or serviced by anyone other than Silencer®or its authorized agents, or where the warning seal on the product is broken or the power and/or plugs aredetached from the unit. This warranty does not cover the cabinet appearance items or accessories used inconnection with this product, or any damage to the products resulting from improper installation, alteration,accident, misuse, abuse or acts of nature. If you are away from the vicinity of the selling dealer please call (800) 340-3200.© 2005 Copyright Magnadyne Corp.System Maintenance: The only maintenance that your Silencer®security system requires is a periodic check of it’s operation to besure that all functions are operating properly. The batteries supplied with your transmitter will usually lastabout 1 year. Heavier usage will shorten battery life. Reduced transmitter range is usually a sign that thebattery in the transmitter is becoming weak and should be replaced.Note: The battery supplied with the transmitters will last about 1 year. Battery Replacement: Replacement batteries for your transmitter are available in the parts department of your car dealership. Ifgetting back to your dealer is difficult, replacement batteries can also be located in most drug stores andcamera shops. To replace the battery, remove the small Phillips screws from the transmitter case and pullapart the top and bottom case halves. Remove the battery from it’s holder. Insert the new battery in place ofthe old one observing the batteries +/- polarity. Gently snap the top and bottom case halves together (DO NOTforce them together) and replace the Phillips screw (DO NOT over tighten the screw)Note: To separate the SLRF12 transmitter case, insert a quarter in the slot a the base of the transmitter and twist it.Transmitter models: 7945 and 6945 uses battery model #: GP23A6915K3 uses battery model #: GP27ASLRF12 uses battery model #: CR2032Replacement Transmitters: In the event that the transmitter supplied with your Silencer®security system becomes damaged or lost,return to your car dealership parts department to purchase a new one.2-21-05 Rev.
