Do not use any diluents or volatile liquid to clean the appliance. Keep in mind that the surface of the appliance should only be wiped with a clean dry cloth. 6. Do not use this appliance in locations whereby there are hightemperatures of high humidity levels; ideally, the appliance should be used in location free of dust and exposure to direct sunlight. 7. Do not insert foreign objects, such as pins, into this appliance. 8. Do not touch this appliance when your hands are wet as this may results in electric shocks. 9. Refrain from dropping the appliance as well any collision with other objects. 10. Should any abnormal situations or problems occur while using this appliance, discontinue use the appliance immediately. 11. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard (*). THE BASICS ACCESSORIES MOUNTING YOUR CAMERA Attach your camera to helmets, gear and equipment. Insert the Battery • Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera and slide in the battery. • Keep the plastic pull tab facing you. Insert the Micro Memory Card: • Slide the memory card into the slot on the left side of the camera body. • The lettering on the memory card should face rearwards towards the back of the camera. To Power On: • Long Press the Power/Mode button to turn on the camera To Power Off • Long Press the Power/Mode button to turn off the camera OVERVIEW Turn camera ON and repeatedly press the Power/Mode Button to cycle through camera modes and settings.The modes will appear in following order: Video :Record Video Photo : Capture a single photo Burst: Capture photo burst TL Video : Record Time Lapse Video TL Photo: Shoot a series of photos at set time intervals Video Playback Photo playback Setting : adjust camera settings,resolution and more VIDEO MODE 1.To record video,verify the camera in video mode.If the video icon on your camera’s LCD screen is not showing,press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until it appears 2.To start recording: Press the Shutter/Select Button.The camera will emit one beep and start recording. 3.To stop recording: Press the shutter/Select Button. The camera emits one beep to indicate recording has stopped. This camera auto stops recording when the battery is out of power. PHOTO MODE Photo(14M) To capture a photo,verify the camera in photo mode.If the photo icon on your camera’s LCD is not showing,press the Power/Mode Button repeatedly until it appears To take a photo: Press the Shutter/Select Button.The camera will emit the camera shutter sound. BURST MODE Burst To capture a Burst series,verify the camera in Burst mode.If the Burst icon on your camera’s LCD is not showing,press the Power/Mode Button repeatedly until it appears.In Burst mode,your camera takes 3 photos/1 sec,7 photos/2 sec,15 photos/4 sec To take a Burst series: Press the Shutter/Select Button.The camera will emit the camera shutter sounds. TL(TIME LAPSE) VIDEO TL(Time Lapse)Video To record TL(Time Lapse)video,verify the camera in TL video mode.If the TL video icon on your camera’s LCD screen is not showing,press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until it appears.In TL Video mode, your camera captures a series of photos at 0.5,1,2,3,4,5,10,15,20,30 or 60 second intervals To record a TL video: Press the Shutter/Select Button.The camera will emit on beep and start recording. TL(TIME LAPSE) PHOTO TL(Time Lapse)photo To record TL(Time Lapse)photo,verify the camera in TL photo mode.If the TL photo icon on your camera’s LCD screen is not showing,press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until it appears.In TL photo mode, your camera captures a series of photos at 3,5,10,30 or 60 second intervals To record a TL Photo: Press the Shutter/Select Button.The camera initiates countdown and emits the camera shutter sound each time a photo is taken. VIDEO/PHOTO PLAYBACK Video Photo Playing back videos and photos To enter the playback menu: 1. Press the Power/Mode Button to select video playback or photo playback 2. Press the shutter/Select button to enter the playback menu 3. Use Power/Mode button to cycle through the carious options 4. Press the shutter/Select button 5. To return to the playback menu,press the WI-FI Button. SETTING Press the Shutter/Select Button to enter the settings menu .Repeatedly press the Power/Mode Button to cycle through optional and press the Shutter/Select Button to select desired option.To go back teh previous screen or exit the settings menu ,press the WIFI Button BATTERY To charge the battery Use the 1.5A USB charger( not included)and USB cable *Charging Time: 3-4 Hours CAMERA APP Connecting to the XDV App. The XDV App ets you control your camera remotely using a smartphone or tablet. Features include full camera control, live preview, photo playback and sharing of select content and more. Download in advance the XDV App to your smartphone at the Apple App Store or Google Play. 1. Press the Power/Mode button to turn the camera on. 2. Ensure the camera is in one of the Camera modes. 3. Press the UP button to turn on Wi-Fi. The orange light illuminates on the top of the camera. 4. In your smartphone’s Wi-Fi settings, connect to the network called “Sport-Cameras” 5. Enter the Password 1234567890. 6. Open the XDV App on your smartphone. To Turn Off Wi-Fi: • Press and hold the UP button for one second to turn off Wi-Fi. The XDV App is compatible with the following smartphones and tablets: • Apple iOS • iPhone5, 5s, 6(plus), 6s(plus)(iOS9), iPad Air and Mini (iOS9) • Android • Android 4X Quad-core devices Note: Compatibility varies by device. Content playback, sharing and access to the memory card might not be available on some devices. 1. Download the Sport-cam APP to your smartphone or table at the Google play or APPLE APP Store : 2. Press the Power/Mode button to power camera on 3. Make sure the camera is in camera mode 4. Press the WIFI button to turn on the WIFI 5. In your smartphone or tablet’s WIFI settings,connect to the network called Sportcameras 6. Open the app on your smartphone or tablet 10 7. Press and hold the WIFI button for three seconds to turn off WIFI 2.4G REMOTE Video To Start Recording: 1. Verify the camera is in Video mode 2. Press the Grey Video button flash while recording. To Stop Recording: . The Camera will emit one beep and the Camera light will • Press the Grey Video button will stop flashing. . The camera will emit one beep and the Camera Light Photo To Take a Photo: 1. Verify the camera is in Photo mode 2. Press the Red Photo button . The camera will emit a camera shutter sound. Replacing the Remote Battery The remote uses a 3 Volt Lithium cell type CR3032. • You will need a small jeweler’s screwdriver with a Philips or + tip. • Your working area should be a flat surface like a table or desk so you do not lose the screws. 11 To replace the battery in the remote control: 1. Remove the non-buckle end of the strap. 2. Flip the Remote over so you can see the back cover. 3. Remove the 4 screws in each corner. Do not remove them completely because it will be easier to put the cover back on and you will be less likely to lose a screw. 4. Set the cover to the side. 5. Push the battery sideway out of its holder using your fingernail or the tip of the screwdriver. 6. Slide in the new battery. 7. Put on the back cover. 8. Screw each screw back in. Tighten until the screw driver jumps once. Do not overtighten 9. Put the strap back through the remote. 10. Dispose of the lithium battery according to local, state or national regulations. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Do not subject the device to severe impact or drop it from heights. Do not use the device in extreme hot or cold, dusty or damp conditions. Do not expose it to direct sunlight. Avoid using the device near strong magnetic fields. Normal functioning of the product may be disturbed by ESD. If so, simply reset and restart the device following the instruction manual. During file transmission, please handle with care and operate in a staticfree environment. Keep the device away from water and other liquids. In the event that water or other liquids enter the device, power off the product immediately and clean the device. Do not use chemicals to clean the device in order to avoid corrosion. Clean it with a dry cloth. Do not install this equipment in a confined space such as a book case or similar unit. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus. Attention should be drawn to environmental aspects of battery disposal. Use the apparatus in moderate climates. We are not responsible for damage or lost data caused by malfunction, misuse, modification of the device or battery replacement. Do not attempt to disassemble, repair or modify the product. This will invalidate the warranty. If the device will not be used for an extended period of time, please charge the battery at least once per month to maintain battery life. Charge the battery if: a) The battery level icon displays 12 • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • (An empty battery) b) the device powers off automatically when restarted. c) There is no response when pressing keys with keys unlocked and battery full. Do not interrupt the connection when the device is being formatted or transferring files. Otherwise, data may be corrupted or lost. When the device is used as a portable HD, please use only per the instructions. Otherwise, permanent data loss could occur. Please use and install data using the attachments/accessories provided and only according to the manufacturer’s instruction. Please refer to the information on the bottom of the device for electrical and safety information before installing data or operating the device. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this device to rain or moisture. The device should not be exposed to dripping or splashing. Never place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the device. There is danger of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same or equivalent type. The battery (battery or batteries or battery pack) should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunlight, fire or the like. Please follow responsible procedures for battery disposal. If the power adaptor disconnected from the device, the device will remain operable as long as the battery has sufficient charge. The power adaptor is a CLASS II apparatus with double insulation, and no external ground is provided. Safety Symbol Explanation: -The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of non-insulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. -To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover (or back) as there are no user-serviceable parts inside. This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household waste in the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To dispose of your used device, please use the return and collection systems available in your area or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for safe environmental recycling. • • This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator & your body. Please follow your actual device’s operational procedures Warranty Policy One Year Lim ited W arranty Parts and Labor LINSAY provides a " 1 Year LIMITED WARRANTY" against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser of a new LINSAY purchased from an authorized LINSAY U.S., which begins on the date of purchase by the customer. Customer is responsible for maintaining proof of date of purchase and must make the registration of the product into of 30 days of the purchase on http://www.linsaydigital.com/registration.php to validate the warranty. LIN SAY's R esponsibility LINSAY purchased new from an authorized LINSAY U.S. reseller and that are used in the fifty (50) United States or Puerto Rico are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of the original retail purchase. LINSAY ' limited warranty covers only those defects which arise as a result of normal use of the product, and do not apply to any improper or inadequate maintenance or modification; software, interfacing, media, parts, or 14 supplies not provided or supported by LINSAY; or operation outside the product's specifications. If LINSAY receives, during the applicable warranty period, notice of a defect in any hardware product, which is covered by LINSAY' warranty, LINSAY shall either repair or replace the defective product at LINSAY' option. If LINSAY is unable to repair or replace, as applicable, a defective product which is covered by LINSAY' warranty, LINSAY shall within a reasonable time after being notified of the defect, refund the purchase price for the product. LINSAY shall have no obligation to repair, replace or refund until the customer returns the defective product to LINSAY. Units sent to LINSAY for repair will be repair or replaced with new or like-new product (s) of the same model with the same functionality as the original unit. Original unit (s) will be returned only at LINSAY' discretion. Please back up all content and files on the device. LINSAY is not responsible for any content on the original unit. LINSAY' limited warranty is only valid in the country of purchase. LINSAY will not validate purchases made via trade or barter. This pertains to trade or barter between individuals on sites such as E-Bay where trade or barter transactions are facilitated. LINSAY does not warrant damage incurred to the LCD on any unit sold. Any manufacturer's defect is at the sole discretion and discernment of LINSAY repair technicians as the unit will need to be in possession of the return authorization number RAN technicians for a full and accurate evaluation to be made. In case of a claim that is not covered by this warranty, you will be contacted to determine whether LINSAY should repair the damage for a fee or whether the product should be returned to you as received by the service technician or service center. Parts and service labor that are LINSAY's responsibility under this limited warranty will be provided without charge. All other service is at the customer's 15 expense.
