so as to provide some protection against
voltage surges and built-up static
charges.
Section 810 of the National Electrical
Code (NEC) in the U.S.A. provides
information with respect to proper
grounding of the mast and supporting
structure, grounding of the lead-in
wire to an antenna discharge unit, size
of grounding conductors, location of
antenna discharge unit, connection to
grounding electrodes and requirements
for the grounding electrode.

Maintenance
Early malfunctions can be prevented. Careful and regular cleaning can extend the
amount of time you can enjoy your new TV.
Caution: Be sure to turn the power off and unplug the power cord before you begin any
cleaning.
Cleaning the Screen
Here’s a great way to keep the dust off your screen for a while. Wet a soft cloth in
a mixture of lukewarm water and a little fabric softener or dish washing detergent.
Wring the cloth until it’s almost dry, and then use it to wipe the screen.
Make sure the excess water is off the screen, and then let it air-dry before you turn
on your TV.
Cleaning the Cabinet
r To remove dirt or dust, wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
r Please be sure not to use a wet cloth.
