Move window lock lever(s) from lower lock position to upper unlock position. Sash can be opened or closed. 2. Remove lock bezel using a small flat blade screwdriver, taking care not to scratch the wood or bezel (right-hand lock for awning windows). Removal of lock handle is not necessary. 3. Below the lock handle in the bezel opening, locate the battery tray tab. Due to the recessed location of this tab, use of a flashlight may be necessary to illuminate work area. 4. Using needle nose pliers, pull on tab to remove battery tray. 5. Remove discharged batteries (see battery disposal information). 6. Replace batteries with two fresh CR-1632 lithium coin cell batteries. Take care to properly position the “+” terminals of both batteries to correspond with the “+” marking on the battery tray. 7.
