Content Product description 4 Requirements 4 Setting up Smart Sense 4 Find Smart Sense in WisePlan 5 Information of a Smart Sense 5 Product description Smart Sense is a two-in-one trap that can be floor mounted for cockroaches and wall mounted for moth. It gives an early warning of infestation and activity by detecting a difference in temperature of the insect, compared to the background which is heated. Smart Sense is fully compatible with existing Smart Connect system. 1. Smart Sense Moth trap 2. Smart Sense Cockroach trap Smart Sense is delivered as a moth trap. To convert Smart Sense into a cockroach trap take off the black grid and the black inner skirt out and close the lid. Requirements The technician operating this equipment must be familiar with the Smart Connect family, since Smart Sense is required to be linked to a Smart Connect to function. For basic instruction of the Smart Connect system, see “Smart Connect Manual”. Smart Sense is equipped with a power supply with a 2m (6,6ft) cable. Make sure to have available power sockets at the client, and bring extension cords if needed. Smart Sense is for indoor use only. Note: A Smart Connect can have a maximum of 50 linked devices. Five of those can be Smart Box Link, the rest must be Smart Eye, Smart Catch or Smart Sense. Setting up Smart Sense Make sure to have a Smart Connect in Link mode, before linking the Smart Sense. Insert the glue board and use the proper pheromone according to the application of the specific Smart Sense. Information about glue board size and pheromone types are mentioned in the Smart Sense data sheet. When the Smart Connect is in link mode, apply power to the Smart Sense by plugging it into an available power socket. Press the button of the Smart Sense to make it start linking to the installation. A steady green light indicates a successful link. After linking the Smart Sense, use the “setup” function from the device list of WisePlan, to choose whether the Smart Sense is used to detect crawling or flying insects. The Smart Sense automatically uses the proper PIR-setting. Find a Smart Sense in WisePlan Since Smart Sense is not an independent unit, but linked to a Smart Connect, you have two options for searching out the trap: a. b. Use the “Find Smart Connect” option, and type in the serial number of the Smart Sense. Use the search field, but search out the Smart Connect it is linked to. Information of a Smart Sense The information of the Smart Sense is now visible in the device list of a Smart Connect. To change the list setup, simply use “List setup” menu in the device list. The activity of the Smart Sense is displayed in the “PIR count” column. Activity will result in the icon: and an alarm. The icon will show in the device list until the device has been started again by a technician. All activity in this period will still be registered.
