User’s Manual for eTrak ETC100
Handling and Carrying Precaution
eTrak devices contain Lithium ion battery that may cause fire if not handled properly. Do not crush,
bend, or puncture the device.
Charging Your Device
eTrak devices is designed to be charged using the included charging cradle. To charge your device:

Connect the included USB cable to the back of the charging cradle
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the included wall adapter
Insert the wall adapter into an AC electrical outlet
Insert your eTrak device into the charging cradle
The charging cradle may be powered by a computer USB port, but may not be compatible with some
computer USB port. Also, the charging cradle may be powered by other USB wall adapters, but may not
be compatible with some USB wall adapters.
The LED on the device will blink every few seconds to confirm that the device is being charged. Note that
it may take up some time for the LED to start blinking if the battery is severely discharged.
If your device does not charge, disconnect the wall adapter from the AC electrical outlet, check the
following:

Inspect the conductors on the back of the device to make sure they are clean. Remove any
obstructions.
Inspect the conductors in the charging cradle to make sure they are clean. Remove any
obstructions.

Water Resistance
eTrak devices are water resistant, rating at IP54. Do not immerse the device in water. If the device gets
wet, wipe it with a clean dry cloth and allow it to air-dry before using it again.
The charging cradle is not water resistant. If the cradle gets wet, unplug all cables. Use a dry cloth to
wipe the cradle and allow the cradle to air-dry before using it again.
Repair and Modification
eTrak devices do not have any serviceable parts. Do not attempt to modify or repair the eTrak device as
doing so will void the warranty.
Battery Replacement
The battery inside eTrak devices is not replacement. Do not attempt to replace the battery as doing so
will void the warranty and may cause fire if battery is not handled properly.
Regulatory Statements
eTrak device is assigned with a FCCID: P4M-DTW200D
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur
in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try
to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Reorient or relocate the eTrak device.
Increase the separation between the equipment and the eTrak device.
Connect the charging cradle into another electrical outlet away from the equipment that
experiencing interference.

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void
the user’s authority to operate the eTrak device.
In aircraft: eTrak devices may cause interference with the aircraft’s electrical systems. Put your device
into OFF MODE before entering the aircraft. Visit our support page at www.eTrak.com/support for
information on how to put your device into OFF MODE.
Pacemakers: The Health Industry manufacturers Association recommends that a minimum separation of
15 cm (6 inches) be maintained between an eTrak device and a pacemaker to avoid potential
interference with the pacemaker. Persons with pacemakers:

Should always keep eTrak device more than 15 cm (6 inches) from the pacemaker.
Should not carry eTrak device in a breast pocket.
Hearing aids: eTrak devices may interfere with some hearing aids. If such interference occurs, you may
want to consult the hearing aid customer support to discuss alternatives.
Other medical devices: If you use any other medical device, consult the manufacturer of your device to
determine if it is adequately shielded from radio frequency emission from eTrak device.
