To disconnect Apple TV from power, youmust disconnect the power cord. Make sure the power cord is always easilyaccessible. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched,particularly at plugs and at the point where they exit from Apple TV. UnplugApple TV during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Whenconnecting or disconnecting Apple TV, always hold the plug by its sides. Keepfingers away from the metal part of the plug.
Location Do not use Apple TV outdoors. Apple TV is an indoor product. Do notinstall near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or otherdevices (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Do not place naked flamesources, such as lighted candles, on or near Apple TV. Do not use Apple TV nearwater. Do not expose Apple TV to dripping or splashing, and do not place anyobject filled with liquid, such as a vase, on Apple TV. Do not move Apple TV ifanother device such as a TV, computer, or other electronic device is connectedto it.WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose Apple TVto rain, liquid, moisture, excessive heat, or naked flame.Cleaning and care To clean Apple TV, unplug and power cord and all cables.Then use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Open iTunes on yourcomputer, select Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.Update Apple TV softwareYou’ll see a message on Apple TV when a software update is available. You canalso check for updates, or set Apple TV to update automatically.Check for updates On Apple TV, choose Settings > General > SoftwareUpdates > Check for Update. If an update is available, a message will appear.Click Download and Install to start downloading. During the update process, donot disconnect your Apple TV.
