formats and on multiple devices. They want to view the content they want, where they want, when they
want in their homes.
The DCX3600 Video Gateway
ARRIS is meeting the growing subscriber demand for HD content with the DCX3600 Video Gateway. The DCX3600
Video Gateway is the next step in the evolution of home TV viewing. The DCX3600 is a dramatic improvement over
existing set-tops – it has full HD output, supports 3D programming, and it is a media hub, which means it connects
to other client set-tops, and distributes and shares video content throughout the home. With its 6-tuners, you can
record or watch multiple channels at the same time in different rooms. It comes with an expandable 1 TB hard
drive, so you can record and store just about all the video you’ll ever want. The DCX3600 Video Gateway includes a
DOCSIS 3.0 modem with 8 x 4 channel bonding, so you can access IP and online content. And it comes with MoCA®
technology, which enables whole home networking for service like Multi-Room DVR. With MR DVR you can record
or pause, fast-forward, or replay the shows you are watching on any TV in your home.

Advanced Features in a Cost Effective Video Gateway
The DCX3600 Video Gateway includes state-of-the-art features. The front end of the DCX3600 is flexible, which allows the
operator to deliver a mixture of services via QAM and IP to its tuners. So it can be configured to tune up to six QAM services
simultaneously, or it can allocate its tuning resources for up to eight DOCSIS downstream channels, or it can support
combinations in between.
Another key feature for the DCX3600 Video Gateway is the built-in transcoding capabilities. Transcoding allows it to take
QAM MPEG-2 services, transcode it to MPEG-4 for delivery to mobile devices (tablets, smart phones) over the home Wi-Fi
network. The DCX3600 Video Gateway is also capable of decoding and outputting 1080p60 content. It also supports the
MVC and SVC standards for 3DTV. Additionally, the DCX3600 Video Gateway is Tru2way-capable for compatibility with both
new and existing applications. The DCX3600 Video Gateway is designed to enable the transition to IPTV.
Improved Watch and Record Capabilities
Consumers value the watch-and-record flexibility they get with the DCX3600 Video Gateway. It comes with an integrated
MoCA®2.0 home networking interface, which allows it to serve as a high-speed multimedia hub via existing coaxial cables in
walls for sharing content with other compatible devices in the home, creating an IP home network without having to install
new wiring.
